Shortly after the 1914 Amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates, it started getting clear that the country was bound to fail as the amalgamation in question was done with colonial fiat without the consent and consensus of the different tribes which were over 3000.

I think this is the main issue. Every other tragic event that has happened in Nigeria was as a result of this amalgamation. All I have read in this post has given me more admiration for igbos, all.i have seen from your write up is an example of how igbos try their best to always make the best out of a bad situation, we did not join this country together, others did that we simply did and still.do what we have to do to survive. Others are having their turn , so be it. If Nigeria will remain together for the next thousand years ,igbos will still be here, and if it will not survive the next couple of years. IGBOS WILL STILL BE HERE.
