simonns:Most information about racism in Estonia is out of date. Even though black color is very unique, racism is not so popular again because it's a sensitive issue. I would enjoin you to come to Estonia and see for yourself. |
Oh its such a long time from this graceful land....how's application going...? |
Long time pals.... Anyone coming to University of Tartu? |
rakish:Actually, someone posted this information on the group, so it does not make it reliable. And secondly, any information like this at least, you should check some key point like email. In my opinion, a "gmail.com" email sends a great warning to me as a person. I think you have a good heart, but you need to check any info you are relaying to people as well. Anyway, don't give up when you find a legitimate one. Thanks. |
Hey all.... |
Hi all, Just want to say this. Every help anyone renders to others is at their own will. Nobody is obliged to help anyone except they have an agreement. But because we all understand that helping others is the path of fulfilling our destiny we all chose to help our self. Meaning that if we refrain, we did that at our own gain or otherwise. So if you help, help and be happy. If otherwise, then it's your CHOICE! Therefore, if anyone decides to help me out, for instance with an important information. I shouldn't expect him to just do it the way I want it. Only that I would be grateful if he did, else I will be indifferent if he would not. I wouldn't force him. Let's be United and lift everyone up so we would be up also. Let's be patient with one another. And let's speak up if we need anything. I trust God that we would get there.... |
ofime123:Of course there should be. I have not really gained proper knowledge of Estonia so I can't really say much. |
sascoj:Most courses for international students especially masters and PhD have bulks of tuition waiver scholarships, but for bachelor's I can't tell. I'm studying software engineering msc in UT of course and for the first semester apart from some little job, the study loads will not give you a space to work because it's loaded with homework and projects. But for scholarships, once you apply to a program that has scholarship and you are given an admission you are likely to get scholarship. Just check the programs and conditions attached the you can really decide. |
jidesam168:Of course you can be. Read through the University's webpage and see their requirements. If you are not clear with the information then send them a mail or call the schools international office, I'm sure they will be happy to help you out. |
sascoj:Well, I can say because I stay in Estonia for my studies. Estonia should be one of the cheapest place to be. Apart from scholarship, standard of living is not so high. But you know it's quite a small country as per population. But it's cool. Just make some research and reach a conclusion. Because there are more than just one reason for a choice in this case than just the cheapest, if you read between the lines. |
nairaspace:You are the best, man. Homework and lectures don't even give me space to come here but I came today. |
tobzzy:But I don't think Estonia standard of living for a student is up to 250euro per month. |
Harmony222:The best is just to use your personal account I guess. But if you want to use a sponsor, then both of you should have the same surname I guess. |
Clefcentfelix:could I have said it any better....? I bet no... In Tartu, black men are few.. Of course some surprise and amazement.. But it's very cool here... Just forget racism and come and study... It's a nice place... Yes, you find many blacks in TUT especially... I think that's the African University of Estonia... Lol. |
Abeg who dey go through Belgium? Ah.. Don't try that... Or else you are ready to risk wasting money, valuable time, and add to your pressure. Please read through the previous comments on this thread. It's rare to get Estonian visa from any embassy which is not Estonian. And you Can't get a type d visa which could also be study visa. You can hardly get a 90 days tourist type c Estonian visa from there, so you should also know that if you are given, it'd most likely that you may stay for most period of your visa in the country of which embassy you apply for. Okay. If you wanna try that out, you may try it. Studies began at UT by August 31,and registration for courses ends by 14th. If you are still coming please tell the school... And please don't come through Belgium embassy if you know you will still come this year... |
Soxxy:I'm in Estonia already. Tartu specifically |
I'm sorry he's on his way. But I know another person you can possibly reach. Send me a mail so we could talk. |
And forgive me, he applied from Nigeria? Well, as you know it could have been that he's already studying in Europe. The challenge is that if your study is close, then don't dare to go through other embassy apart from Estonia. Number one, the best type c visa you could get is for tourism, and as long as you are not given up to 90 days visa you have a chance that you won't be in Estonia when your TRP should be ready and therefore you will miss some parts of your study periods. The essence of going to the nearest embassy is to get the whole process streamlined and thus have nothing to risk. But for the school, I can bet that no school will advise you to come to Estonia through other embassy apart from theirs. |
marcondo13:Yeah you are right.. But as uzhi said.. You can save yourself of refusal and/or time wastage by going to India. It's safe clean, though a long journey but at least you get your visa easily provide with your required documents but if you try it from Nigeria I would call that a guess. Since vfs is the one handling visa collection for Belgium, Italy, and some other Schenghen member states, the process is very long. And from these embassy you can hardly get an Estonia visa from there the requirements are too high, and you cannot get a study type d visa. You need to go to an Estonian embassy to do that. And I believe that your friend did that in Estonia embassy else since he's in Europe and not in Nigeria you should know that it would be easy for Him even if he got it from other embassy apart from Estonian. |
I know a guy coming from Nigeria but I'm not sure if he's not on his way already. |
Visa received successfully pals. It was visa galore yesterday at Estonian embassy. If you need to go through India please don't hesitate. |
kenigbolo:Hey keni what is transfer time |
Kemilolarutty:Please go to the embassy with all your documents for a new appointment date. It's FREE. |
Kemilolarutty:By the way, what stage are you in the visa process? |
Kemilolarutty:You are not too late... But the best of advise you will get here is to check the previous page of this thread... Sincerely you will find a way out. Nevertheless, advise is to go through India and you can begin the process NOW |
