sudo1986:Estonia is very good for PhD. They have a good number of research opportunities and they seem to have incentive or monetry supports for doctoral students. You should consider your research are and see which university offers such. Also check what other opportunities does doing your work their bring to you. Apart from the cold weather, Estonia has decent affordable standard of living. As for job, IT jobs are more popular but depends on your study area you might find more positions to work in schools as a researcher or even as lecturer. It may be more competitive but generally Estonia is livable if you want to integrate and stay for a while. Try to read more from studyinestonia website. |
skimpy:Thank you for submitting this report here. I want to ask, what are the required documents that was needed to get Turkish visa? Do you have to get a letter from work or from school or the likes before you got their tourist visa? Thank you. |
NEROSKY:I would advice that you write directly to the university or the program contact. So they can tell you. Usually when you apply for bachelors degree you only need your o level result waec neco etc. But maybe having an hnd might give a better opportunity. |
ManuelWest:I don't think it has to be super comprehensive (remembering you have limited number of words to write). One full paragraph should do. Look at a topic related to course you want to study. Write how passionate you're about the topic, and what outcome and impact you think it would make to you, the university, the department, and/or Nigeria and/or Estonia when you finished that research work. |
grandfleets:Thank you @grandfleets I have heard about Israel route, but how do you mean expensive. Is it their visa fee or just flight, accommodation and so on? |
roundface:Thank you for your reply. If you know anyone here with such experience kindly help mention them. |
Hi friends, I have been an active participant on this thread since 2015 but the information I have about routes to Estonia is now obsolete. Can someone with recent experience with tell me which route is surer. Egypt, India, or any other route. I am considering going through India right now. Thank you. |
Thank you good people, this same Mr Sunday claimed to be a former Quality Control Analyst posted to NNPC Portharcourt also called my fiancée telling her to call one Madam Stella (08035573817) for job opportunity. He told her that she would help her work it out so she could be qualified (even though she's passed the age that NNPC accepts). This Mr Sunday gave the address of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) at 5/7 Koffo Abayomi Street Victoria Island, Lagos (I put this address here so Google can cache this text and save innocent people of being trapped) Immediately I was told I knew it's a SCAM. Here are the things that made me suspect this call: 1. NNPC (A big industries that people crave to work for) 2. The names given are First name without Surname 3. She was told that the information on the website of NNPC is for general and the one Madam Stella is able to do is not publicised 4. He refused to explicitly explain how they met 5. When ever scammers says, call this person for more information they often do that do develop a non-suspicious relationship with their victim 6. No email contact, no website. Be aware that these people do a lot of research before calling you (only few ones call at random) - they use facebook, your phone numbers, email address and any information that you allow to litter around: reason why its not good to randomly put your contact information everywhere you go, on every website, not even on Facebook (it can be hidden). |
emmachrist27:I know its almost 3 years since this happened but can you tell us what you found out from this? |
mickeyenglish:I would say you should just write to (or call) the school to confirm, or if anyone with experience about it may answer. And by the way did you find anywhere in dream apply where you can pay? What I know is that you can only (based on my experience) apply to Estonia Universities by Dream apply. |
Miles300:Sorry if I may answer your question ( most likely they don't) because, they need IELTS (or other acceptable English Language scores), at least I know this for University of Tartu. The reason I say this is so that you can find it easy to decide and save time. Others can say if its different |
ananaosei:Ahm I would suggest that you stick to D-Visa because it is a long stay Visa and In order to avoid any kind of trouble waiting for your TRP you, it's the safest option. Don't worry, you can already fill the form on paper and prepare necessary documents to take to the embassy. Just a note, I think type C which is short stay is given to tourists, and be careful to get your Visa from the Estonian embassy, not from other embassy which is not Estonian so you can get a longer one. |
ceiling:Striker9 has talked a lot more about it. But my perception is that there must be regular meaningful inflow of money per month into the account. And I think there is no particular amount that is necessary but of course if the sponsors account can have up to a million, then it will be nice but I pretty sure that just dumping one million for example into an account that keeps only hundreds or tens of thousands might be a bad idea. |
jennyugochi:1. Personally, I would advice that you talk to the school in order that you may get first hand information specific to your case. @demaejy is a living testimony of issues related with admission at euro Academy and what helped him was his consistent communication with the school so much that when there was almost a trouble, he was able to use their mail as a point of reference. 2. I don't really know about certificate Authentication. 3. For study, Sheng hen visa D type is the best, and this can only be issued by Estonian embassy herself, so for example Belgium embassy cannot do that for them. And it would be their discretion to give you the one that would be sufficient before getting trp. If you read between the line, remember, Estonian embassy not vfsglobal. |
kingdiala007:I can say one of the best thing is to ask the school you are applying to perhaps they can give you an hint (if you are going based on academic) . Sorry I couldnt help more than this. |
Godfavourme:Actually I don't think you have anything to do with o level again if you are going for masters, just your uni transcript. To be safer like Godfavourme said, just do it. However you can be much safer if you asked the school you are applying to, at least, you can save the stress of trial and error. |
@house, I see many euro academy and EBS students, just to contribute: if you are applying for euro Academy to be precise, keep applying even if the deadline is looming, as someone said your application will be placed with more priority for the next admission even if you don't meet up this time but it's best to keep up communicating with the school for reliable info. I think @demaej can speak more about it. @all again, I saw question about job: as I once said, Estonia is IT but I wouldn't doubt the possibility of getting other jobs in order to find a career here because I can see some people do it. However, Estonia is in Europe and you know what opportunities that exposes you too... Researches, innovations, and the lots in Europe; if your course is research based perhaps that could open the door for you. Trust in God, and don't be too wise with Him: He will direct your path when you commit your ways into His hands. Apologies I have not come a long time to check how my brothers and sisters are doing, I will try my best to give my outdated answers but, see you in Estonia. ![]() |
Godwithme01:Estonian schools uses a single application system called dreamapply. Your profile and your academic info and some other ones, once they are filled it can be accessible by any school you applied to. But of course It should be safer to inform the school if you have sent your documents to other school so nothing is missed along the line. |
Mrbllymer:Estonia is good, and we are awaiting you the boss to come too.. There are updated experience about the requirement of visa application these days so I believe you can find people like @toyeeb, @hakeembe, @talk2prince etc guide you... At least with the 'state of the art' info about this ![]() |
tlk2Prince:Bro, send me a message or contact God'swill if you know him. |
hakeembee:Pm maybe I can help get info. Maybe it will be helpful. Reason I said pm is just to keep me reminded. I don't have the info at hand now but of course I can ask some of my oga at the top here ![]() |
Godfavourme:I remember that this is true. But I am not sure this process is straight forward giving that Belgium embassy don't receive visa application directly instead through vfsglobal and vfsglobal represents some other ones as well. And truthfully it's only shortstay visa (type C Shenghen ) visa that they issue on behalf of Estonia. So it's quite tricky, I believe the person in need of this info is ready to make right decision concerning his/move to Estonia. If the person is coming for study, just like the student coordinator for University of Tartu would say, "From our experience, it's very rare that people would be able to come to Estonia via type c visa. It's rather advisable to travel to the Estonian embassy near you" |

achodave:It could be scholarship, supports, or job: also on application level your statement of account must show a good inflow. |
dreamchaser90:Seems one of my post was deleted. You can send me email. Ps. @moderators What was wrong with my post informing of very vital information. |
Great info @tobzzy Anyone here who is reluctant to ask questions or give an update. Please don't be, share it at least you might not know if some other people have the answers or guide you better, or rather your questions, answers or update will help someone. |
There is something wonderful about Estonia that we are enjoying right now: it is the gradual integration with this wonderful country which to me has great potential. As an African, if you know you are going to be in Estonia for study, don't feel alone, if you need any help that can be rendered to you as you come or to settle down, there is Association of African Students (AASE) already recognized in Estonia (more popular in Tallinn University of Technology) and also represented in other school. Should you have need of any info you can check http://www.aaseesti.com/ then contact the right person. If you will be coming to university of Tartu as an African student you may contact me too... See you in Estonia ![]() |
hakeembee:Estonian embassy will try all possible means to ensure your get your visa to Estonia before the end of your India visa so don't worry about extending it. In fact @Demaejy can tell you an exceptional story. Also You can also get your visa within two working days in India depending on your situation.. ![]() |
hakeembee:Hope it's not so far from the embassy? |
lanre205:I think basically Software, but of course Estonia encourages any thing IT so if you are that guru with how to make hardware work with software then...what are you waiting for? I am not boss... Who dey call me boss when others dey their... We are all serving... By next year, I hope you will come to help too... ![]() |
but, see you in Estonia.
