tobzzy:Noo... Boss keh, we are all serving o... |
timzy2:I am not so sure about other schools, but for University of Tartu there is this BSc English program called, Information Technology: it's very broad program that lays foundation for many parts of Computer science oriented career path: including software engineering, data scientist, system administraton etc.. And this program has its own tuition waver but it think it is very few as opposed to masters program in the like of Computer science, software engineering etc |
hakeembee:Your personal code for you as an alien (to estonia) is your birth date, except there is a change. But don't worry, anything that is unclear to you, you may leave them till you get to the Estonian embassy.... They will guide you on what you need to put...don't worry. |
hybeenoni:Estonia sells IT and it's one of the MAJOR areas of getting job, in fact they need experienced international people; Estonian market is first for Estonian, then for others...and anyone can stay if they get a job. Search for "study in Estonia" and "work in Estonia" for better info. |
hakeembee:Send the international students coordinator a mail that the India embassy requires a confirmation document/mail in order to process your visa, because you will be coming to study in Estonia. I think it should still be Kaija Murasov. kaija.murasov@ut.ee and that she should copy you in the replies. I think India embassy in Lagos email is: consvisa@hcilagos.org, I m not sure this has not been changed but this was where I told her to send to. |
hakeembee:how is it going? ![]() |
mystica773:Resident permit is one year, and its renewed if the need be. The renewal also is for a year (at least based on my understanding about Temporary Resident Permit for study purpose). Estonia is part of the Schengen territory so its possible to visit other places. |
jeffoe:the bolded part is just one of the required documents that may be necessary in the whole process especially if you want to go by Entry Visa through India for example (with the purpose of going to Estonian Embassy for application) |
nevilbot:1] I think the first thing is to get the admission, then as you may have read on these thread since the Estonian embassy is not in Nigeria (if you are from Nigeria) then you have to go to the nearest one. I am not sure but thinking it might be an advantage for you to help your younger ones to Germany if possible to do the Visa thing there. admission -> admission letter, confirmation from school, required docs for visa -> apply for visa and trp -> come to estonia. Generally, I think the process of getting visa by Study purpose requires stody dcoumets (admission letter and co) then other documents regarding funds, confirmation, flights, health insurances, etc... this may vary with different embassies though ![]() 2] Yes, they will require proof of fund and I believe a statement of account could suffice in this case except there is another development 3] There are prospect of part time job, to my own understanding, even full time job if you get one. I think there is a better chance with IT jobs since this is what Estonia sells. I cannot assure a 100 percent correctness in this, since I only know a little. My bosses here can speak better on this. ![]() 4] yes, the official language is NOT English but yes, people are surviving and by my experience it is possible, just that some jobs might be difficult to get because of the language, however language is one of those issues, and may not necessarily be a BIG problem (depends) |
Demaejy:Thanks but let the econmium be to God. You know there are great men on this thread that has ever helped me without knowing them. These guys teaches me that helping somebody is both a personal responsibility and a completeness of life. The likes of Uzhi, naira space, seanT, bolig, and many many. I have learnt that lesson that I am helped in order to be of help to others. Lifted to lift others... I hope you guys would do the same investment. |
adegunwa4real:Sure I can help as much as I can |
hybeenoni:Hey, just go the University website and find the department link, after that surely you should get a reliable contact address there. Don't panic, communicating by email with an official in university of Tartu to my experience is somewhat reliable and I can at least assure you to an extent that they would b glad to assist you. Take the step and don't delay. You can also communicate with the international student coordinator Kaija Murasov (please find her contact on the University's website) for assistance. |
hybeenoni:I study there, and truthfully nothing is easy but possible. But of course you are allowed to work for whatever hour, only that your study must be stable. It's actually Estonian migration stuff. |
Please share any information you have that would help others on this thread. And also be eager to share your trouble here about the whole process. I am speaking from experience on this thread. Let's try not to move so quickly away from this thread into private discussions and if we do we should try as much as possible to come here to help and be helped. Godspeed with your process... See you in Estonia ![]() |
sobastical:No be so... Good to see you here again... |
LostCity:Since when? |
omitobi:I quote, so Swisscare still accepted, at least University of Tartu confirms this. ![]() |
hakeembee:Are you almost here? ![]() |
sobastical:Kabiyesi o... I salute 100 times ![]() |
hakeembee:I hope you did reschedule? |
Uganda1:So good. I sent you a mail from here. A friend from Uganda would like to connect with you and help you in anyway he could. BTW, congrats on successful India route... Get copies of your documents with you for both visa and trp. |
papyskinsy:You might actually not need waec verification as this is masters. Possibly just your BSc cert and admission letter or confirmation. |
icotfodile:I think you should send the Estonian embassy in wherever you are going a mail about it. I also got the info that Swisscare is no longer accepted but I have not verified how true that is and if it's not only because of those renewing their trp. But like I said just try to phone, mail or whatever just contact them for clarity. |
hustla:For IT related jobs, there are virtually new job posts everyday on cv.ee at least. And of course as at this year, the minimum salary is around 600 Euro. Also as a student there is no restrictions on the number of hours to work, and also no special visa for that - the trp or the visa covers that. Only that your study should be kept consistent and stable. You can Google "study in estonia" and "work in estonia" for very good and reliable information about it. The summer is like Nigeria with nice warm sun that would be missed in the cold winter. But for now we from Africa are enjoying the sun, and the coolness of the consistent rainfall. This is the best time of the year ![]() |
dreamchaser90:In Tartu, most people are either students or connected so at least they can speak to a minimum. I cant say much about Tallinn since it's bigger, but of course since you would be staying around students you don't have problems. Only maybe you would learn some little Estonian that can help you move around. And good to know that African students are making great impact and producing good feelings in Estonia with the AASE. For Job, there is especially IT jobs, but also many other jobs but those in tallinn can explain better. Don't worry, just come! |
yoyolagos:be careful with agents too... because you could save yourself hundreds of thousand with a simple following of protocols than using an agent |
Uganda1:Hey how is it with your visa and progress to estonia...? going well? |
@All I dont know if somethings have changed about the stress-free application of visa at Indian embassy in lagos, but I still believe Egyptian route is really one of the most UNPROMISING route except you are so sure about this.... I came through India, and many others even though we had to go by many kilometers but whats the essence of Egypt in africa if its a trouble to get their visa.... As for Schenghen I would still say, you have to be sure about it... see its just two months till resumption, don't waste your time....get right info, and if you would ask me what place you should try... I will only tell you of the place I came through, ITS INDIA... -- See you in estonia.... ![]() |
My advice for this thread is that everyone should discourage private discussions as much as possible (unless it is really private). I didn't say this because of the risk of fraudulent activities but because this thread would soon become irrelevant to countless number of potential candidates which may be frustrated right now because of lack of info and/those who would need guidance in the nearest future. |
tobzzy:Go through India. It's hassle free |
tlk2Prince:India... |
LiveIndia:Just believe what he told you, the latest date is June 15. Note the word "latest". |
