I learnt about a yellow card requirement for application of Visa to India ; and also ORAL POLIO VACCINATION/IPV ONLY FOR RESIDENTS OF SEVEN POLIO-AFFECTED COUNTRIES INCLUDING NIGERIA IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FOR VISITING INDIA FROM 01/03/2014. OPV/IPV CERTIFICATE TO BE CARRIED ALONG IS VALID FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF ADMINISTERING IT.; got this from http://hcindia-abuja.org/visa_journalist_visa.php |

uzhi: Do not try Egypt now o. Their three weeks can be 2 or 3 months o. I was at the embassy today to check for a guy who applied on the 11th March 2015 and no visa yet. The flight fair is 61k or so now due to promo, but u must get the flight ticket with their ticket jacket from Egypt air b4 u can get their attention. GO VIA INDIA 4 COS NO TIME. @uzhi I must confess that I am having some confusions concerning this....A guy that is presently studying in Tartu encouraged me to go through Egypt as that was his wayout for him after much attempts somewhere else....Also, there are other two guys that are going; one from Nigeria and others from Ghana....they were going through Egypt as well....Now I have been seeing encouragements to go through India. I so......disturbed kind of...because India's process looks so cumbersome.... Let me say, what process did you undertake befor applying to India....I really wish I could apply to the two at the same time....[sigh] |

This is the Email response I received from the Estonian Embassy in Egypt from Dina.Sary@mfa.ee after I mailed embassy.cairo@mfa.eg: Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your e-mail.
For Masters study please find long-term D-visa requirements:
A long-stay visa may be issued for single or multiple entries into Estonia with a period of stay up to six months and with a period of validity up to twelve months.
You can apply for the Resident permit when you are in Estonia
We would need you to come to the Embassy personally and submit the documents, we don’t accept any documents by post.
For consular reception please register by phone +202 27 38 41 90, or by answering this e-mail.
A long-stay visa should be applied in person only at the Estonian representations.
Documents to be submitted upon application for visa
a valid travel document which is issued within previous 10 years, contains at least two blank pages for visas and is valid at least 3 months after the expiration date of the visa; Pre-filled online application form https://eelviisataotlus.vm.ee, printed out and signed a photo (size 35x45 mm); an insurance policy valid for Estonia or for the Schengen area with a coverage of at least 30.000 EUR for the entire duration of stay; documents indicating the purpose of journey:
a confirmation letter from the host; documents in relation to accommodation or proof of sufficient means to cover the accommodation; a diplomatic note or confirmation letter from the international organization;
any information which supports an applicant intention to leave the Schengen area before the expiry of the visa; documents proving the sufficient means of subsistence for the duration of the intended stay and for the return to the country of origin or residence (64 € for each day in Estonia); a visa fee 80 € must be paid in Euro.
Decision will take up to 14 working days from the day all the documents are correctly submitted to the Embassy and the application is accepted.
Best regards,
Dina Sary I think that embassy.cairo@mfa.ee is the same email one can have to use to book an appointment in the embassy of Estonia in Egypt..... |

SQ26: @omitobi.... 1. the pertinent biodata page is the first page of your official passport. 2. since you are from English country and your school program will be taught in English....just add it to it as a back-up(add photocopy but show the original) you will also need it in Estonia embassy in Delhi....Read your enrollment letter very well. 3. to be truthful, i have no idea about Egypt. But i think India is nice and easy once you trust God and have the required documents. India, however, might issued a 15-day transit visa which i think should be enough for you Thank you very much for the information......are you presently in Estonia? |

SQ26: hello guys...i've read loads here; seen many successes and folks yet to get it done....lemme help from experience..- THROUGH INDIA EMBASSY with God on your sides i think the visa is very easy to get.
lemmes start thus:
book an appointment: i know by now they are farther and nearly reach september.. but try an book online, fill form accurately and take the for it for rescheduling(getting a closer date) this aint easy but you need to wait until you are answered. get a guaranteed appointment first.
regarding the documents: int'l passport application form, biodata page photocopy 2 passports(big size, check their site for thorough specs), your education certificate- for masters you will need NYSC, bachelor certificate, admission letter, and also inform your school in estonia to send a letter to the india embassy regarding your enrollment(this is important)...for bachelor programs, get your waec authenticated at the Ministry of Foreign affairs and Ministry of Education in Abuja...surf the internet for details..arrange your pocket well o, yu go tip them o.. if your are using sponsor, it is important your get a letter from the sponsor and the sponsor bank statement...make sure these 2 documents are notarized and stamped by a notary public(if you need help here, contact me for more details)
supporting documents- admission letter- for TUT they are 3 copies; hotel reservation in india, ielts/toefl, birth cert.....these were the things i used... Ensure you take the originals(of ielts, birth cert and any docs you've use so far) along with you.... on interviewing day: be prepared; listen carefully to what the consular is saying; they are two. the challenge people have is they find it hard and to understand what a consular is saying(accent problem) and vice versa.. be bold, speak clearly and ensure effective communication..
duration of stay: you may be issued 15-30 days(transit or 1 month entry visa respectively...know fully well that once your visa is ready then.. you are ready...
permit me to stop here..feel free to ask any question.
You will all succeed in Jesus name... I really appreciate this explanation.....But Ihave some question What is biodata page? is it the same thing as Birth Certificate? and For the supporting documents, you mentioned IELTS result....how does it apply? and lastly, Okay I am having a sponsor, but I have been thinking about going to Estonia through Egypt, do you not recommend going to Egypt, or is there any information you can help share in going to Egypt....Just thinking that Egypt might be a faster medium... Thank you. |

Hi everyone, I got my admission letter from the university of Tartu and one other document entirely written in Estonia ( I though for processing TRP) but now still on the Visa issue. I have been having serious headache on the route to take as the required date of entry is August 24 (about 2 months). Having tried to check through Belgium Embassy, I was strongly advised not to even try it if i need to conserve time and money. But told Egypt is one of the best place to apply as for Master's Student. Now I need someone to please help me in details of the documents needed to prepare a Application for Egypt Visa. Having already learnt that Egypt Visa only takes 5 days. Thanks alot. |
