Foreign Affairs / Re: Ukraine Begs Russia For Security Guarantees, Ceasefire, Immediate Withdrawal by omoalaro: 1:07pm On Mar 19, 2022
Kingsnairaland:
The objective of this operation was never about Kiev. The pressure on Kiev is to force a political concession from the Ukrainian government with regards to Crimea and the Donbass.

The real objectives in no particular order seem to be

1. Liberation of the Donbass up their original borders
2. Demilitarization and Degrading of Ukraine's military capabilities.
3. Relieving the Siege of Crimea - through unblocking of the canals and linking it to the Dnieper river. That's why they took Kherson city.
4. Creating a land bridge from Crimea through Donbass all the way to Rostov in Russia. This is why conquering Mariupol is key.
5. Extending the land bridge westwards from Crimea to Odessa by conquering Mykolaiv, which was a major shipyard in Soviet times. Doing this will effectively deprive Ukraine from access to the sea and make it a landlocked country.
6. Destroy the Azov Battalion in Donbass. They are all now in Mariupol. Those in Volnovakha have been killed or surrendered.
7. Capture all Nuclear powerplants in Ukraine - to prevent Ukraine from having access to materials to create weapons.

All of the above objectives are largely being achieved albeit slowly due to resistance.

The attacks on Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and other cities in the North are to tie down Ukrainian forces and prevent them from coming to the South.

Conditions for peace are ;

1. Ukraine ceasing military action
2. Changing its constitution to enshrine neutrality
3. Acknowledging Crimea as Russian territory
4. Recognising the separatist republics of Donetsk and Lugansk as independent states.

God bless putin God bless mother Russia.

Brilliant summation. Well done.

Bukola Saraki has never done anything without a fraudulent intention. All roads constructed in his 16 years of leadership of Kwara State have broken down and requires reconstruction now. He is shouting about that he wants to "grow Nigeria".
Grow Nigeria the way he grew Kwara State, The way he grew Societe Generale Bank, Trade Bank, Shonga Farms etc.
Politics / Kwara Govt Explains Take-over Of Shonga Farms By AMCON by omoalaro: 5:45pm On Feb 10, 2022
• Says negotiations on to retrieve seized properties

Kwara State government on Thursday explained the reason the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) took over the government properties in Abuja and Shonga Farms, saying that it is to recover the bad loans that the Farm owes a consortium of banks that invested in it dating back to 2007 because the Shonga Farm Holdings could not payback on the agreed timeline.

The state government said the state had allegedly been fraudulently negotiated into underwriting the debts incurred by the former administrations in the name of Shonga Farm, a venture it said was funded 100 per cent at inception with taxpayers’ money without any gains to the people of the state.

At a press briefing to explain the recent take over of two Kwara state properties by Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) owing to about N1.7bn debts of the Farm, the government said more than a cumulative sum of N5bn of public funds and loans secured with the government as guarantor had allegedly been sunk into the agricultural project with no traces of any dividends.

The press briefing was jointly addressed by the state Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Salman Jawondo (SAN); Commissioner for Communication Hon. Bode Towoju; Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters Lateef Alakawa; Special Adviser to the Governor of Political Communication, Bashir Adigun; and Group Managing Director of Harmony Holdings, Abdullahi Abdulmajeed.

The government said that out of the 13 autonomous farms set up with public funds, nine had been sold out with no kobo paid to the public coffers, even when the government is supposed to hold a paltry 10 per cent equity in each of the farms.

The government explained that the reason AMCON took over the Kwara properties in Abuja is to recover the bad loans that the Farm owes a consortium of banks that invested in it dating back to 2007 because the Shonga Farm Holdings could not payback on the agreed timeline.

It said AMCON had to hold the state responsible because it is listed among the shareholders of Shonga Farms Holdings Ltd, even though its share — allocated to it only after public noise in the early 2000s — is not anywhere commensurate with its huge investments in the project.

Asked why the government has not taken legal action against the perpetrators of the alleged fraud, Jawondo said crimes perpetrated through fronts and companies take years to unravel and that government will take action once it gathers every document necessary to do so, including files and transactions tucked away by previous officials.

“For instance, the sale of nine farms – in which the government ought to have 10% equity shares – was done secretly without any document left for the government to trace how the transaction was done, at what amount they were sold, the billions of naira proceeds of the sale, and who the buyers were, while no board resolution existed to show that shareholders consented to the divestment process in line with the law,” Jawondo and AbdulMajeed said.

“When such mind-boggling frauds are committed using companies and fronts, it may take many years to unravel the web of conspiracy. It is not enough to prosecute for the sake of mere prosecution. But rest assured that we will prosecute everyone involved when we get all the evidence,” Jawondo said.

“By section 61 of AMCON Act, a debtor or a debtor’s company is defined to include directors or shareholders. That is where Kwara State properties came in. As a shareholder in Shonga Farm Holdings (however little these afterthought shares are, compared to our investment), we are liable for the failures of the farm. What happened was that three out of the five banks who later invested in the Shonga Farm sold their debts to AMCON. So, AMCON inherited these debts and started pursuing Shonga Farm Holdings (which included the Kwara government) to come and pay.

“At a point, they negotiated and they were allowed to pay a little less than a billion naira within a time frame. They were left with N283 million. They could not pay within the time limit. Don’t forget I said that this loan went to small farms, not even Shonga Holdings. In fact, this Shonga Holdings was just a body established without anything doing other than managing these small farms. Then, they now exited (after fraudulently activating Clause 17) which means that Shonga Farm Holdings has nothing in these small farms again. The 60% even given to Kwara is already gone. You can see the scam.

“So, as far as AMCON is concerned Kwara is still a shareholder in Shonga Farm Holdings, even though it is doing nothing. It was on this basis that AMCON approached the Federal High Court and sought an attachment of Kwara properties. This basically means we are responsible for the woes of Shonga Farm even when no dime or dividends have come to the people of Kwara State despite its huge investments there.

“And you know why they did that? I have read online of people asking why they picked Kwara and not other debtors. The Kwara state government is the big elephant in this matter. Kwara State government is the most vulnerable in these circumstances. So if you people are claiming they had not used the Kwara State property to secure the loan, yes, directly; but indirectly, they have siphoned Kwara State government money. They practically have negotiated Kwara state into debt.”

“Before we enter into any peaceful engagement with Nigeria, Nigeria must show us that it is favourably disposed towards peace.”

BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKFEB 03, 2022

The Indigenous People of Biafra has said that its doors are open for “meaningful” and “sincere” peaceful engagement with other nationalities and the Federal Government if, indeed, Nigeria is ready for such.
In a statement on Thursday, the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, never asked anybody to relax the freedom fight, but only advised Biafrans worldwide to embrace peace within the family.

The group also said, “Before we enter into any peaceful engagement with Nigeria, Nigeria must show us that it is favourably disposed towards peace.”
Powerful explained that Kanu only urged those who were trying to get distracted within the family to embrace peace and ensure the group is intact as a family.
The statement reads in part, “We are ready for peace if they need our peace. Because IPOB is a peaceful non-violent movement, our doors are open for meaningful and sincere peaceful engagement with other nationalities in Nigeria and even with the Federal Government if they are ready for such peaceful engagement.
“We are human beings and cannot jeopardise our honour and respect before the international community. But before we enter into any peaceful engagement with Nigeria, Nigeria must show us that it is favourably disposed towards peace.
“IPOB is ready for peace if Nigeria is out for peace, but so far, Nigeria has only proved it is out for violence. But no matter how much they persecute us, the Nigeria security agents cannot break our resolve to get Biafra people liberated.
“Let us put the records straight as regards the laughable deliberate attempt to misrepresent the message of our leader to the IPOB family members. The fallacious reports in some national dailies that our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has asked IPOB members to embrace peace with Nigeria is another attempt by our enemies to sow seed of disunity in our midst.
“They think they can report the messenger out of context and possibly cause disaffection in the IPOB family but that antics can no longer work.
“We are surprised at the mischievous twisting of a clear message from our leader by the enemies of the struggle. Their aim is to create confusion and cause disaffection in the IPOB family but they came too late.
“We therefore, want to put the record straight: What our leader said was that IPOB members should ensure continued peace in the movement.
“Nnamdi Kanu never called for anybody to relax but advised family members worldwide to embrace peace within the family. We are ready for peace if they need our peace. Those traitors trying to create confusion in the family should be careful.”

So, there is only one North and 3 South.

An acclaimed visionary leader, tested and trusted by his people. He had built several people into positions of influence. Has a protegee that he brought to lime light.

The protegee, a teacher, a pastor and a seasoned lawyer. The lawyer protegee had helped the leader in the administration of his tenure. A very capable hand indeed. Also a great orator.

When the leader had an opportunity, he put forward his protegee for the 2nd most important position in his land. The lawyer protegee took up the position.

Politics happened. The leader wants a position, the protegee also wants the position. The leader has one ideology, the protegee has a different ideology. Foot soldiers on both sides egging the leader and his protegee on. Discrediting one another. Forgetting that they are brothers from the same zone. One with federal might, the other, with grassroots support. Both sides being played by external factors.

"After all i have done for my protegee, he ought to accord me respect and listen to me", the leader thought to himself in his private moments.

"I have been loyal enough, and i deserve to retain this exalted position for myself", the lawyer protegee soliloquised.

The die is cast. A crack is created.

With the unrelenting supporters of both men, the crack became a schism. With the latching in of people of other ethnicities, the schism became a chasm. Yoruba land becomes the epicenter of a political war between 2 brothers that were once confidants.

No, i write not about those you think. I write about the great leader, Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo; and his protege - the teacher, the pastor, and a cerebral lawyer, Ladoke Samuel Akintola.

These issues happened exactly sixty years ago in 1962.

That fight, ended the glorious years of yoruba people being the ones ahead of other ethnicities.

In contemporary Nigeria, the golden years of the yoruba people was between 1952 and 1959. The years Awolowo was premier of western Nigeria.

Those Were the years of our firsts - First Television station, Rediffusion, First Modern Secretariat, First Housing Estate- Bodija Housing Estate established in 1958, First Stadium- Liberty Stadium, First Dual Carriage Road- Queen Elizabeth-Secretariat Road, First Teaching Hospital (UCH) etc

By the time the brouhaha settled in 1966, Akintola's daughter had been killed. Awolowo sent to jail. Many houses burnt, and a coup that took the life of Ladoke Akintola.

The visionary leader never got there till he died. The Cerebral protegee died trying not to leave there.

We lost our regional leadership and even lost the regional governance. All because a visionary leader and a brilliant protegee didn't sit to reconcile themselves.

The ideological difference? Awolowo wanted an alliance with the igbos, Akintola wanted an alliance with the hausa fulanis.

Both sought alliance with others, but couldn't achieve an alliance between their own selves.

Sixty years later, Another visionary leader, another cerebral protegee who is a teacher, pastor and lawyer. A leader with the strength of the grassroots, a protege with the strength of the Federal government. Foot soldiers on both sides egging both on, in derisive manners.

Would the southwest lose out again?

May afflictions not rise a 2nd time.
In line with the music of Hubert Ogunde that he released 60years ago and was banned, i repeat,.....

YORUBA ROO'NU O.. Reflect, O ye of Yoruba Ancestry.

https://independent.ng/how-south-east-lost-the-chance-of-producing-nigerias-president-in-1979-amaechi/

First of all, let me take you back to history. Ndigbo lost a bright chance of producing the president of Nigeria in 1979. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe called me in April 1978 and told me as his field man in his time to go back to Nigeria and tell them that he wanted to come back to politics.

I went to Lagos, I contacted Shehu Shagari and asked him how do we work together to get this done? Shagari summoned two other people from the North; Shetima Ali Monguno and Sunday Awoniyi from Kwara State. Then I went with Azubuike Okafor and Dennis Osadebe. We were holding meetings in Lagos at the residence of Shehu Shagari and I was reporting to Zik until we eventually agreed on a platform – National Party of Nigeria (NPN); that Zik will be the presidential candidate, while Shagari will be his running mate.

So, I came back and reported to Zik and he said ‘that’s good, you know it is the emirs in the North who determine; are you sure they will not knock it off? So, I went back to Lagos and told Shagari this is the fear of the old man. He said of course we were in consultation with the emirs. Then the following week, the Sultan of Sokoto sent the Emir of Zaria to Zik at Nsukka that the entire emirs in the North are in support of what the politicians are planning.

Again, Zik said ‘what about the soldiers? The soldiers may take up the government again if I run.’ I asked him: ‘Owelle, if they kill you now, did they kill you early?’ I went back to Lagos and told Shagari that this is what Zik is saying about the army. Shagari asked: ‘Does that man really want to be president? Okay, I will get in touch with the army, come back in the evening, we will have dinner.’ That evening, I went back to his house in Victoria Island and Theophilus Danjuma came. Danjuma was the Chief of Army Staff then.

So, the three of us had dinner and Shagari told Danjuma about the fear Zik expressed. Danjuma said ‘no, no, no, but this is the real man we want, this is the type of person that we want that will bind this country together. I can’t go to Nsukka because if I go back to Nsukka the press will catch me. Alright, go back and tell Zik that I am going to Calabar on Saturday to Army Sports and I will make a speech at the Army Sports and in this speech I will send a message to him.’

On that day, Danjuma went to Calabar and made a speech. He said: ‘I am reassuring the nation that the army is ready to hand over finally to civilian government and return to barracks but they must warn that the person they will handover to must be an elder-binding person in this country, will not be a person who will come and cause trouble again, must be a true father of the nation.’

Suddenly, Jim Nwobodo lost nomination with Onoh in the party and went back to Nigerian Peoples Party (NPP) and told Zik, dump whatever 'arrangements, come to NPP, NPP is our own party, Igbo party, we will put you in government. Suddenly, Zik changed mind, he changed mind and made announcement that a plan for his birthday in November 1978 in Enugu is cancelled and it was that day he was to be presented to the nation. A motion to be moved by Maitama Sule from Kano to be seconded by Anthony Enahoro from the West, then I will speak last from the East.

I went back to him on the 17th of November and asked Zik what happened and he told me ‘Jim came to me that I should go back to my people and I don’t want to go to a party where Adisa Akinloye will be the national chairman and I don’t want to belong to the same party with K.O. Mbadiwe because of what Mbadiwe did to me.’ In my book, in which I wrote the history of Nigeria, you will see where I said ‘Zik made Jim Nwobodo governor and unmade himself president.’

So, that was what happened. In that birthday party that was aborted, Osadebe came, it was aborted and he went to Zik’s house but they did not allow him to see Zik. They told him Zik was sick. He started going back and had accident at Nine mile corner and got paralyzed till he died. Mojeed Agbaje from Ibadan, a close associate of Adegoke Adelabu came for the party at Enugu and it was aborted. He went to Nsukka to see Zik and he was told that Zik was not feeling fine and he couldn’t see anybody. On his way back he had accident and died, four of them in his car died at Ore and that was how we lost the opportunity of becoming the president and the party went and nominated Shagari.

Then on the 13th of January, 1978 at Kwara State Hotel, we were in campaign tour and Shagari was to announce his running mate, so, he called me in the hotel with Akinloye the national chairman and told me that he has selected me to be his running mate. I told him thank you very much. I said as a sincere man, I can see myself for a lower position when Zik is running against me, I can’t run against Zik, I can’t run an election to defeat Zik, Igbo people will not forgive me and my children will not be able to explain it. So, I nominated Alex Ekwueme to be the running mate. That was how we had the opportunity we had.

Again, during this Fourth Republic, Ekwueme ran and the same Jim Nwobodo ran to the North again and betrayed Ekwueme at the Jos convention when the Peoples Democratic Party PDP was selecting its presidential candidate; the same Jim Nwobodo.

Politics / IPOB Leader Kanu Begs Supporters To Be Law Abiding, Shun Violence by omoalaro: 9:45pm On Jan 15, 2022
EMERGENCY DIGEST- The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has charged his supporters to be civil in their conduct and comportment, “shun violence and defiant behaviour in any manner or form, and exercise restraint in speech” during his next court appearance on Tuesday, 18th January, 2022.

Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor made this known in a statement after his visit on Thursday to Kanu in detention.

Ejiofor said the IPOB leader was in a cheerful mood and confident of victory in the long run.

“We undertook our customary visit to Onyendu in DSS custody today. In the course of the visit, our discussions focused primarily on our final preparations for the legal battle that would resume on the turf of the Federal High Court, Abuja Judicial Division, from next week and on subsequent adjourned dates, if any.

“We coalesced the product of our individual reflections on the most potent legal strategies henceforth to be adopted, fine tuned and harmonised them, and then distilled them into a single, conclusive, potent, workable formula.

“We are optimistic that the court outings of Onyendu would be impressive. Onyendu himself is in high spirits. Our discussions with him further reassured him and strengthened his determination to persevere unrelentingly.

“Onyendu is fully prepared to appear in court as from the 18th of January, 2022. He is rooting for victory and knows that, with the help of Chukwuokike Abiama, victory is assured”, he added.

Ejiofor said the World will behold an interesting dimension in the harmonised workable formula the IPOB leaders legal team has evolved, adding that Kanu’s detractors will comprehensively be humbled and permanently put to shame.

“Further, Onyendu utilised the opportunity afforded by our visit to mandate us to admonish his teeming supporters and followers.

“He advises those of them that would appear in court in demonstration of their unflinching support and loyalty to him to conduct themselves with decorum, be civil in their conduct and comportment, shun violence and defiant behaviour in any manner or form, and exercise restraint in speech”.

“On our part, we have caused formal correspondences to issue on responsible, sovereign, democratic Governments and other international institutions to prevail on the Nigerian Government to caution uncouth and overzealous security agents.

“We can authoritatively declare to you, that those correspondences are receiving the requisite attention they deserve.

“We are optimistic that there would be a positive transformation in the conduct and general approach of the said overzealous security agents at the next appearance of Onyendu in court.

“We make bold to state for the umpteenth time that Onyendu has not committed any offence known to law. For this reason, he must be released unconditionally.

“We specially appeal to you to demonstrate profound understanding and fortitude in these trying times. You must remain focused, dogged, and resilient.

“On no account must your untiring spirit be shaken and your resolve diluted. You must keep the peace at all times and comport yourselves with decorum.

“In no too distant time, you will surely savour the sweetness of victory. Celebration and jollity will resound in your respective dwellings and sorrow and sighing shall take a permanent and unremitting flight to the abyss”, the Lawyer said.

Ejiofor said that Kanu expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to millions of his followers and supporters scattered throughout the face of the earth.

The Ghana Police Service have warned religious leaders to desist from New Year prophecies that could cause fear or disturb public peace.

The Ghana Police gave the warning via a statement signed by its Director, Public Affairs, Supt. Alexander Obeng.

The police said any religious leader found guilty could be liable to a term of imprisonment of up to five years.

The letter marked, ‘My Ref: PAD/PRESS/VOL.3/1/256’, was titled, ‘Ghana Police Service statement on the communication of Prophecies and their legal implications’.

The letter read, “As the year 2021 draws to a close, the Ghana Police Service wishes to draw the attention of Ghanaians, especially religious groups, to the fact that whereas we have the right to religion, freedom of worship and free speech, all of these rights are subject to the respect for the rights and freedoms of others according to our laws.

“Over the years, communication of prophecies of harm, danger and death, by some religious leaders, have created tension and panic in the Ghanaian society and put the lives of many people in fear and danger.

“We want to caution that under Ghanaian law, it is a crime for a person to publish or reproduce a statement, rumour or report which is likely to cause fear and alarm to the public or to disturb the public peace, where that person has no evidence to prove that the statement, rumour or report is true.

“It is also a crime for a person, by means of electronic communications service, to knowingly send a communication that is false or misleading and likely to prejudice the efficiency of life-saving service or to endanger the safety of any person.

“A person found guilty under these laws could be liable to a term of imprisonment of up to five years.

“We, therefore, wish to caution all Ghanaians, especially religious groups and leaders to be measured in their utterances, especially how they communicate prophecies, which may injure the right of others and the public interest.

“The Ghana Police Service wishes to place on record that the Police are not against prophecies; we acknowledge that we Ghanaians are a religious people who know, and believe in, the centrality of God in our lives.

“The Police wish to assure all religious organizations that we are committed to ensuring maximum security during the 31st December night, end of year services and beyond. There should be no apprehensions therefore about undertaking the various activities. We ask only that everyone keeps within the law and is mindful of the welfare of each other.

“We also urge all Ghanaians to observe the COVID-19 protocols religiously so as to protect ourselves, families and friends from this ravaging pandemic.

“We also take this opportunity to wish all Ghanaians a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year."

Igbos do not need to kneel or prostrate to get the PDP ticket. It is a matter of RIGHT. Igbos can even go to court and sue PDP if they refuse to give them their entitlement. They have laboured hard for it and they must get it.
However, there will be no need for Igbos to kneel or prostrate for APC ticket. It will be foolish for APC to hand over their ticket to a people who hates them so much. It will amount to locking down the APC ticket if it is handed down to an igbo man. They will collect it, keep it and vote for their darling PDP even if the PDP presidential candidate is a fulani man. APC is a fulani janja_weed, Northern muslim party. It is forbidden and banished in the South east.

Politics / 2023: South East Ready To Kneel, Prostrate To Get Presidency - Ezeife by omoalaro: 4:23am On Dec 05, 2021
By Angela Atabo

A former governor of Anambra State, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, has said the Southeast is ready to kneel down and prostrate for other parts of the country to get the presidency in 2023.

Ezeife spoke on Saturday at the United For Better Nigeria Initiative (UBNI) National Convention in Abuja.

“It is not a matter of give us president, we don’t give, you have to work for it, the Igbo does not prostrate.

“The Igbo man does not keel down, but this time, we are prepared to kneel down to every part of Nigeria, every group, every ethnic group in Nigeria, we are prepared to even prostrate because we believe in this country.”

Ezeife said that Igbo people had contributed greatly to the development of Nigeria in terms of infrastructure, intellect and business.

He therefore said that it was time to give Igbo people the chance to build Nigeria to the standard God wanted it.

Ezeife added that God created Nigeria to develop into a super power among nations, and raise respect and dignity for all blacks on earth.

He said that one of the ways to achieve the feats the nation wanted was to carry everybody along without discrimination.

“So I found Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and other groups in this place talking about the need for federal character. If you do it that way, there will be unity, if there is fairness, equity, justice, you will have unity and progress.

Also speaking at the event, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim said it is neither a right nor was it legal for the southeast to demand presidency.

Anyim, who recently declared his ambition to contest for the 2023 presidential ticket of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP said the southeast h to persuade other regions to support their dream if they would produce the next Nigeria’s president.

“Is it right for the Southeast to produce the next president?, my answer is legally no, and the reason is that the constitution is clear, the constitution says every Nigerian of 40 years is entitled to aspire for that office.

“On the other side, morally is it right? is it an entitlement? I will say yes because the federal character principle enshrined in the constitution encourages rotation.

“The reason I have to make this clarification is that when the right you have is not legal, the only approach and the instrument you have is persuasion.

“So the approach, the language will be to persuade others to see reason with you that morally they should support you to take a turn since it rotates.”

Anyim therefore encouraged the Southeast that as they go ahead with the movement of advocating for a president, it should be with an altitude persuasion.

The Guest Speaker, Prof. Mutiullahi Olasupo, who is the Director of Institute for Peace Leadership and Development Studies, University of Abuja, said that it was right for the southeast to produce the next president in the interest of peace and natural law of justice.

He said it was imperative for all Nigerians to exclusively resolve that the presidency in 2023 should go to the southeast.

He said that the same mechanism that produced former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999, should also repeat itself by 2023, to produce a president from the south east.

“Out of all the six geo-political zones in this country, it is only the southeast that has not produced the president in this country.

“Does that mean that the south east is not being recognized as a geopolitical zone in Nigeria?” he asked. (NAN)

Mrs Nkolika Mkparu ,Coordinator-General, UBNI, said that there was a feeling of political marginalisation after over a century (by 2023) the Southeast region is yet to produce a president.

Mkparu said that UBNI, a non-partisan political advocacy group, which had been involved in enlightenment for a united Nigeria deemed it fit to beam searchlight on the issue.

She said that in achieving this political balance, the support from the Southeast region alone would not suffice, therefore there is the need to appeal to other regions to support it.

“The truth of the matter is that our strongest strengths are from the north, our great leaders are from the north, so we are working with the whole nation with the understanding that inclusiveness is what will lead Nigeria to a better future.

“Inclusiveness that will bring us together in one union is what will bring our country together.

“Nigeria is huge enough for everybody, Nigeria has the capacity to hold everybody, Nigeria has the intellectuals, Nigeria has all it takes to lift the county, all we are asking for is to give the southeast also a chance to lead.

“All the other parts have tried, south south has tried, north has tried, west has tried since over 50 years now, so we are hoping that we should be allowed to try.”

I think the panel brought this upon themselves, they shouldn't have allowed the slightest error which is now ridiculing the whole report.
