The pretty actress who was once an aide of Governor Rochas of Imo State, who has been called out by her butcher for owing him the sum of N10,000 has insisted on having the goat head before she pays the butcher N10,000.


She just shared this on Instagram

The actress, who had her birthday recently hired a butcher through a contractor to help butcher a goat for the party.

As the custom was with butchers, this particular one went away with the goat head but the actress insisted on having the goat head before she would pay his balance.

The butcher through the contractor begged the actress for his balance to no avail. So they decided to call her out on social media.

For her response, the actress put this up on her Instagram handle:

“The tree fell from the banana and the banana fell from the tree, even me I don't know where the banana is #whereisthebanana#whereismygoathead.”

Known as Deronke Okunnubi, you would fall in love with her merely by following her on Instagram.

Deronke, who was the CEO of Dorofabrics would not only post pictures of her ware but celebrate her husband, her three sons and she was a devout Muslim.

Shareholders of Zenith Bank Plc have applauded the management and board of the bank for an impressive performance for the year ended December 31, 2016.

Speaking at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday March 21, in Lagos, shareholders were elated that despite the challenging operating environment, the bank was able to record gross earnings of N507.997 billion in 2016, up from N432.535 billion in 2015.

Also, they were highly impressed with the profit before tax of N156.748 billion recorded in 2016, which showed a significant jump above the N125.616 billion in 2015. Similarly, profit after tax rose from N105.531 billion to N129.65 billion.

The elated shareholders approved the final dividend of N55.573 billion for the year, which translates to 177 kobo per share.

Addressing the shareholders, Chairman of the Zenith Bank Plc, Mr. Jim Ovia said despite the challenging operating environment, the bank was able to fully exploit the available opportunities to post the impressive results.

According to him, in line with its commitment to delivering superior returns to its much-valued shareholders, the bank ensured that a good chunk of the profit is set aside for them.

“In this regard, we have declared and paid you an interim dividend of 25 kobo per share in the course of 2016 financial year. We hereby propose a final dividend of 177 kobo per share. This brings the total dividend for the year ended December 31, 2016 to 202 kobo per share as against 180 kobo per share paid the previous year,” Ovia said.

He stated that even in the face of a very challenging operating environment, Zenith Bank has maintained its culture of outstanding performance and industry leadership.

“As a bank, we are monitoring developments both in the local and global economy and applying pragmatism and dynamism as appropriate. Our strategy and approach to the pursuit of financial inclusion and sustainability gives us a lot of competitive advantage to explore even new frontiers in the market,” he said.

Speaking in the same vein, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank, Mr. Peter Amangbo said as an institution of well-primed people, the bank relied on a its pool of exceptional staff to make sound and timely decision and addressed issues in a manner that anticipated developments and demonstrated excellent understanding of the dynamics of the market and economy in 2016.

How did you meet each other?[/i]
We started out as cool friends after being colleagues for a few years, and then love happened.

What was the physical attraction?[i]

For him, it was love at first sight but for me, I wouldn't say there was any form of physical attraction at first. When he began professing his love to me, I was giving my attention and time to someone else that I was physically attracted but God's will eventually prevailed.

Any spiritual ‘touch’ to it. I mean, was there a voice from God that he is your guy?

Well, when things got really serious between us, I decided to seek God's face. Babe was convinced but I needed to be sure even though I sort of knew deep down that it was him. I have heard cases where God reveals the man in the dreams, through voices and signs and I wasn't getting any of these so I was taking things slowly. I was waiting for an answer from God after I prayed and fasted but I wasn't exactly listening to what He was saying to me. The Lord was showing me an open door but I kept asking for direction instead of looking at the door he has opened. It wasn't until I had a father-daughter conversation with my dad early 2016 that I had the confirmation. During our conversation, I said, Daddy I have not dreamt about him or heard any voice to show that he is the one and then my dad said it is not just through dreams or voices, there are other ways and he mentioned inner peace and I knew it right there. All along, I had this inner peace when it comes to him, unlike the other suitors I was receiving attention from, I had peace with Babe, plus he's so humble and cares too much. God’s will is usually peaceful!


The general belief is that blogging takes a lot of your time and you might not have time to socialize and meet a guy? How were you able to detach from this anti-social ‘vice’ of blogging?[i]

Blogging truly takes my time but it doesn't stop me from socialising when I have to. It is all about good planning and balancing.

How did he propose?[/i]
He proposed several times. The first time he asked me to marry him was during our first date (when we met physically in 2014) but I didn't think I was ready then and I didn't even take him seriously because I felt he was too blunt. You are meeting me for the first time and the next thing is asking me to marry you, please shift! Even when I wasn't giving him any chance, he was still persistent; he didn't give up because he was convinced that I was the one for him. Sometimes during conversations and dates, he would ask, ‘Babe, marry me, please.’ and I will tease him by asking him to come up with a dramatic surprise proposal before saying yes to him.
I eventually accepted to marry him after the conversation I had with my dad. He however officially proposed with a ring on my birthday last year (2016).

Did you know he would propose?[/b]

No I didn't as a matter of fact I wasn't expecting it at all. We had already done our family introduction weeks before then and plans were already under way for our wedding so I had accepted the fate of not receiving an engagement ring.

[b]What was your initial reaction to his proposal?[/i]

I laughed. He gave me the impression he was travelling days before; so I resolved to a private low key birthday celebration with my immediate family. I thought I had seen it all when he showed up with a surprise birthday cake, appearance and gift. Only for him to go on his knees about an hour later, while we were all watching a movie in the sitting room. He brought out the ring case and my siblings started clapping and bringing out their phones to capture the moment. I can't even remember all the words he was saying, I was just too excited that I finally got a ring when I least expected it.

What would be your advice to spinsters?[i]

Be open minded even as you are waiting on God for your spouse because there is no such thing as a perfect mate. Every lady wants the best but it is God's will that eventually matters. People are flawed. I’m not suggesting you lower your impossible standards for finding the right mate, but you might want to relax your checklist for acceptable suitors. Often, ‘Mr. Good Enough’ turns out in the end, to be your ‘Mr. Perfect’, because you are able to live through the flaws to see the real goodness in the man that your previous societal brainwashing had prevented you from directly witnessing.

“I refused him from seeing my son for my son’s safety. He has my son’s passport and I knew he wanted to see my son because he wanted to see me. The first time he suggested seeing my son, it ended up about us and I didn’t want that. I also don’t trust him at all. I don’t know what he is going to do or who he is taking my son to. If his mother was around, I would not have a problem with it, she could have taken care of my son. I could release my son to him because he had my son’s passport and I knew he was going to run away with him. But I did leave lines open t him. Not my personal line because, like I said, I blocked him away from every form of communication to have my sanity and state of mind. Every time I opened the line to talk to him, he begged and begged.”

On the car that he presented to his son on his birthday, Tonto disclosed:
“My husband never bought a car for my son on his birthday. The picture shown on the Internet is an old picture. I took that picture. That’s not the same car, that car is not a GMC. I live with my son and I do not own a car. I live on Uber (chartered taxi) and that’s how I take my son to school and bring him back. That’s how I run my home right now; we do not have any car owned by my husband with us.”

Whose idea was it that you should live in Nigeria while your wife and children stay in Dublin, Ireland?

Mr. Latin: It was the idea of the two of us. There was a long strike by teachers at a time and we thought such would not give our children what we really wanted for them. We decided to relocate but because of the nature of my job, I cannot stay over there with them.

Oluronke: It was a mutual agreement between my husband and I.

How has it been maintaining distant relationship?

Mr. Latin: We spoke almost 10 times every day. I woke them up with telephone call in the morning to speak with my wife and children till they are off to school. We also chat on WhatsApp and do video call almost every day. I do go to visit them and they come to Nigeria as well.

Oluronke: There is no discomfort because we manage to keep the communication going and this has helped us in building healthy relationship.

What domestic chores do you help your wife to do?

Mr. Latin: When I am with them abroad, we do almost everything together, including washing clothes.

How often do you hang out with your wife because of the distance?

Mr. Latin: When she is around, we go out together and whenever I am with them abroad, she takes me out.

In an interview, the former First Lady, who will be 55 in July, talks about her husband:

“He is a very good man. He takes good care of us. It hurts me when people say negative things about him and that is one thing that can really make me lose my cool. If you are rude to him or talk to him harshly in my presence, I won’t take it. During his campaign, my husband was invited to an event. Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala is a very good man. He is a man of the people. He loves to have people around him. He even ‘over-tries’ to please people and I used to tell him that, ‘look, my dear, the kind of love that you want from people, it is only Jesus that can give you that.’ I am still trying to get him to understand that.
