From the replies I am seeing here, it is obvious most Nigerians read only headlines, quickly form very uninformed opinions and immediately post them on social media.

This is a criminal that stabbed an innocent man who wanted to help him, stole his property and left him to bleed to death.

The police did their job admirably, caught him and took him to court. The judiciary did their job by giving him fair hearing and appropriately finding him guilty. The criminal was sentenced to death by hanging in line with the constitution of the country.

From now henceforth anyone that posts trash on this thread should be charged with obstruction of justice.

Truly, the only way to improve on the economy is by having the best of infrastructure and honestly $250billion is very doable over 10 years if it will be effectively and judiciously used.

This can be source true earning from taxation, oil export and borrowing, talking about borrowing. I see a lot of misinformed people complaining about debt, well the truth is every developed nation was built on debt and Nigeria a country With a GDP of about $500billion is seriously under debted with debt of less than $40billion. Wise business people use other people's money to grow there business same ways wise countries borrow to built infractructure.. the USA has a total debt of $17trillion, China $5trillion, Japan $4trillion, even Egypt that have a lesser economy than Nigeria has a debt of over $400billion.

Sometimes debt serves as security to you because when you owe your creditors will not allow any harm on you as you can only pay back when you are alive, same way if a country is seriously in debt it creditors will ensure stability in the nation to ensure their debt is paid back, just imagine the fate of somalis creditors since 1991 that they haven't had a stable government

It is very ok to borrow to fund infrastructure but don't borrow for recurrent expenditures like paying salaries, when you borrow to pay salary it means you are employing more than your capacity

In fairness to the president, I do not think this is another bout of apportioning blames. If you're allowed to know how much exactly Nigeria earned between 1999 and 2015, and see the decay in infrastructure coupled with the depleted national treasure, it will take a while for the shock to wear off.
It's going to take some time for the negative effect of that looting to end. And the same bastards are now sabotaging efforts to right their wrongs while they were in power.
Nigeria will flourish again in my life time.
