PhonesRe: A Letter To My Nokia E-7 by omodapson(m): 6:54pm On Jun 28, 2012
happy to say that I'm viewing this thread on my E7. It's never been a dull moment with the super smart phone. The only phone that can snatch you away from me would be an android beast, say in HTC X or galaxy S3.

RomanceRe: Single Ladies Who Stay In An Abusive Relationship by omodapson(m): 2:11pm On Jun 13, 2012
You love your partner because he beats you... You must be a new Jesus then. By the time he beats you into the grave, then you will know how much he loved you. Silly people!!!!!

If your partner barks at you, you should watch out, he has the potential of beating you up in future. Don't be fooled, please flee from abusive relationship. It kills!
PoliticsRe: $3M Bribery: Otedola Submits Evidence To Police by omodapson(m): 2:02pm On Jun 13, 2012
Chinom: Well, a bigger thief was caught using a smaller thief. If i stole close to $240million from the Nigerian state( our money). I would gladly offer someone $1m to cover it up. Either way, they stole from us.To tell you the truth, i.m less concerned about the outcome of this Farouk/ Otedola debacle. I just want the FGN to immediately start recovering our money from all the subsidy thieves. It will go a long way towards solving our power(Energy) problems
If there is a strong evidence that Otedola stole from Nigeria, he should pay back and also pay for the consequences. But the matter at hand now should be discussed without prejudice. The issue is, there is no man with proven integrity among our leaders. They all steal fro us, they are vermins, they are of the earth, they eat all that others may die!
FamilyRe: Are Extra Lessons Really Necessary For School Children? by omodapson(m): 1:48pm On Jun 13, 2012
Extra lesson for little children is not necessary, it stemmed out of poverty that has riddled our society for decades. School teachers who earn little thought of ways to make extra income and came about extra lesson as the medium of upping their income. Why would I give children aged 3-8 the burden of extra lesson when they are medically sound? Wetin little children dey learn sef?
PoliticsRe: $3M Bribery: Otedola Submits Evidence To Police by omodapson(m): 1:30pm On Jun 13, 2012
I have gone through most of the comments made and I can say most of them are laden with sentiment. I can only shake my head at how some of us reason. There is a thief to catch, he was caught red handed and we are saying the thief was not caught in the proper way? How else would you catch a thief that insisted on stealing from you when he knew you had nothing he was looking for?

Well, the last has not been heard, so I will reserve my comments for now. But if Otedola's claim is true, then Lawan has no hiding place. So far, I have not heard anything logical from the lawmaker which is worrisome to me.

TV/MoviesRe: Have You Seen The New Coca Cola Advert? It Insults Africans by omodapson(m): 4:58pm On Jun 11, 2012
say-d-fact:
why every1 worries, we share a coke because OUR FUTURE IS SECURED....
if u no like am... write a letter to coke (seriously not a yab)
This would be my interpretation too. I see nothing offensive in it. Please follow the trend again. It simply implies that while the rest of the world looks at the future as gloom, here in Africa, we see brightness and the more reason to have fun with coca cola.

cigie: do companies take time to check for the authenticity of their employees' credentials?? #IJustTheAsk
Yes they do! If you know someone hiding under the umbrella, advise him/her to take to his heels. I don't know about one man business sha, but for big corporations, they do.

Hmmmm, if it happens that Otedola's claim is true, then the amount discovered by the probe panel is a tip of the iceberg. Compromises made by their action would have run into billions of dollars.... Naija!!!!!!!!!!!

PoliticsRe: Gowon & Ojukwu In Aburi (video) by omodapson(m): 12:13pm On Jun 07, 2012
Irony of war. After leading millions of nigerians to their early grave, the instigators continue to dine and wine together while the mumus continue to kill one another. And many more will be fooled to carry arms and die for nothing. smh.
Car TalkRe: Kia Owners Forum by omodapson(m): 6:13pm On Jun 06, 2012
Biggyd2: Hopefully they won't survive the Dana air crash imbroglio and it will affect all their businesses in Nigeria. Since they have started absconding, their businesses should go under at least. I don't know why people even buy their cars. What you noted about their shocks is very true and it is not as if the parts are cheap. I don tire to hear Dana I beg, unless they want to tell me that heads have started rolling in that organisation!
So na Dana dey manufacture those moto. People will not stop amazing me.
BusinessRe: What Percentage Of Your Monthly Income Do You Save? by omodapson(m): 4:42pm On Jun 04, 2012
spyder880: No matter how low your salary is, you can save something, let not your excuse be that your pay is small, save small and start doing something on the side, no matter how small.
Spyder880, I ain't disputing that. no matter how low,if you have the mind to save, you will save. But just pray you don't fall into the category of these people.
BusinessRe: What Percentage Of Your Monthly Income Do You Save? by omodapson(m): 4:35pm On Jun 04, 2012
SOME PEOPLE ARE BLESSED WITH FAT PAY. FOR THOSE ON MEAGRE SALARY, I PITY THEIR CONDITIONS. SOME EVEN RUN INTO RED BEFORE THE NEXT PAY DAY AND STRUGGLE TO MAKE ENDS MEET.
MY ADVICE FOR SALARY EARNERS IS TO TRY TO LIVE WITHIN THEIR MEANS AND NEVER BORROW. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ENOUGH TO SPARE, I RECOMMEND BTW 20-40% FOR SAVING OR AT LEAST THE EQUIVALENT OF A FOUR MONTH SALARY TO KEEP YOU THROUGH EMERGENCY MOMENTS.
THOSE WHO HAVE PLENTY AND DON'T FEEL LIKE SAVING ARE ALSO RIGHT IN THEIR OWN THINKING. THESE DAYS THAT DEATH COMES HANDY... grin FOR THOSE WHO BUILD UP WEALTH TO GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, REMEMBER LUKE 12:20
PoliticsRe: Why Is South Africa More Developed And Stable Than Nigeria?? by omodapson(m): 11:32am On May 28, 2012
DailyNews: That black man has proven himself over time to be a very corrupt skin! Look at all the black nations of the world, they are battling with one form of corruption or the other, or they are in tribal-ethnic battle instead of focusing on development. Black man has proven that he likes printed paper (money) more than integrity, dignity & legacy. We the black people worship money more than personality. we respect corrupt men with money more than disciplined men that leaves good legacy! Until we change our attitudes towards monetary issues, Nigeria will stay like this!
Well said! Some 'black' guys still need to be emancipated, have their orientation changed. The black continent will continue to be living in the dark until it rediscovers itself and learn to live at peace and desist from corruptible acts.
PoliticsRe: Why Is South Africa More Developed And Stable Than Nigeria?? by omodapson(m): 10:11am On May 28, 2012
What is this inferiority complex about being black? So those who think Oyinbos help SA develop can say it boldly that a white man is superior to them in all things?

For me, Corruption is the bane of development in Nigeria. If Nigeria can get selfless leaders like we had in Obafemi Awolowo consistently for 20 years running, I see the country becoming at par with SA.
PoliticsRe: TUC Rejects New Electricity Tariffs ! by omodapson(m): 12:22pm On May 25, 2012
mekaboy: THESE PEOPLE HAVE COME AGAIN , " THE POOR WILL PAY LESS" HOW CAN THEY TELL WHO IS THE POOR AND RICH? ARE THEY GOING TO CONSIDER THE AREA THE PERSON IS LIVING OR COUNT THE NUMBER OF GADGETS ONE HAS TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE. SO SOMEONE WHO LIVES IN A DUPLEX IN A NICE AREA, WILL BE CONSIDERED RICH BECAUSE HE USES AIR CONDITION, THEN THE PERSON WHO LIVES IN A POOR AREA, AND YET HAS A HIGH VOLTAGE COMMERCIAL PRINTING MACHINE, WILL PAY LESS BECAUSE HE IS CONSIDERED POOR?

OK , SO THEY BELIEVE ITS THE POOR PEOPLE THAT WILL PROTEST ABI? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY START TO CHARGE THOSE WHO HAVE FACTORIES AND BAKERIES MORE ? WONT THEY INCREASE THE PRICE OF THEIR PRODUCTS TO AFFECT REFLECT THE INCREASE IN TARIFFS ? THEN THE POOR WILL END UP PAYING ALOT TO BUY THESE PRODUCTS. IT WILL AFFECT EVERYBODY, SO THEY SHOULD FORGET THIS RICH AND POOR RUBBISH THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. LET EVERYONE PAY FOR WHAT THEY USE.

YOU KNOW HOW NIGERIANS ARE, THEY WILL GO AND GIVE BRIBE TO PHCN STAFF TO CLASSIFY THEM UNDER THE POOR WHILE THEY ARE RUNNING FACTORIES. AND THEN THOSE WHO ARE POOR WILL BE CHARGED AS RICH . grin grin grin

WE HAVE NOT SEEN AN IMPROVEMENT IN POWER AND THEY WANT US TO START PAYING MORE, THOSE INVOLVED IN THE SUBSIDY SCAM WE HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING. BESIDES THIS LOAN THE FEDERAL GOVT IS PLANNING TO GO FOR, WHAT WILL IT BE USED FOR ? CANT THEY INVEST THE MONEY INTO POWER AND LET NIGERIAN ENJOY STEADY ELECTRICITY FOR AT LEAST ONE YEAR BEFORE THEY INCREASE THE TARIFF
My God go bless you. How do you classify between a rich man and a poor man? We have rich men living in poor areas and poor men living in rich areas. A poor bachelor for instance who is fortunate to live in a high brow area but struggles to make ends meet will be forced to pay as the rich people living in the area. Why not make it a flat rate for residential? If they want the rich to pay more, they can always design a special tax system for them. In that way, no one will be victimised unnecessarily.
PoliticsRe: TUC Rejects New Electricity Tariffs ! by omodapson(m): 12:11pm On May 25, 2012
This is phucking crazy. Fixed charge will be jumping from N75.00 to N500.00! shocked
It is only God that can save us from the heartless, blood sucking politicians.
Even if light no blink for a whole month, i will be forced to cough out N500.00 for a service not rendered?
Nigerians must kick against this. It is simply enslavement.
