Actually you are correct @op about us.

But the thing is most people are up by 4am doing various chores but when it's 6.30am then you start seeing people on the streets . It's not because they are lazy or anything but because abeokuta is a calm city.

If you call a cab in abeokuta, the cab driver atimes will need to reverse and park beside you before you enter Another thing is if you enter a cab in abeokuta and the taxi driver called N50 as the cab fee.. Just remove N10 or N20 from it but mostly N10.

I enjoyed growing up in abeokuta, because the time i relocated to Lagos, i couldn't imagine myself growing up in Lagos.

In Lagos nobody tells you before you start walking fast but abeokuta you can still walk majestically on the road.

Abeokuta itself is not industrialized. Few places are commercial like oke ilewo, panseke, sapon, kuto, ibara, ita eko etc.

The method ogun state is using is to use industrialization to drive development to other local government hence you can't find much industries in abeokuta whereas nearby ewekoro, sango, Ota, igbesa, sagamu, agbara, mowe, ibafo etc has numerous industries which is helping the development of those areas.

Ogun state has four zones, 1:abeokuta (egbas) 2: ijebu ode (ijebus) 3: ilaro (yewa) 4: sagamu (remo)

after reading all what you said about ikwerres not being successful unlike their igbo brothers ,it has shown that there's no sense of moderation in you.

there are lots of mods here that we don't even know their tribes and with all your comments on this thread, who knows if you have being banning people unjustly in the culture section just because they don't share your opinions

@Seun there have been lots of conspiracy on nairaland that some mods are tribalistic . am suspecting bigfrancis21 to be one of them with all his comments here on nairaland .

ikwerres have said they are not igbos why are you trying to force them to be igbos or write one history for them.

Truth hurts so much bro
I understand how you feel.
How your small god has been politically incapacitated that even now a goat backed by buhari can go against him and win in southwest. cheesy

Meanwhile Bro, lemme ask you before you fill the whole arena with superfluous emotions.
How many times have you asked for evidence before labeling some selected politicians as corrupt?

People like saraki, oduah , dasuki , ekweremadu and e.tc.

I believe if you guys have always seek evidences like this before smearing politicians and assassinating their political career, the hostilities channeled to your people would have been drastically reduced.

But seriously nobody takes you guys serious anymore, you sing praises of those that feed your belles just like ffk and how ondo people has done. grin

Kiss the truth
Where were you when Tony anenih wrote a letter admitting collecting money from dasuki?

Where were you when Stella Oduah admitted buying bullet proof cars at such ridiculous amount?

Saraki never denied the allegations against him instead he was looking to explore loopholes so as to escape prosecution.

That's not even the topic.

Am not a tinubu boy but rather a yoruba nationalist, i believe in a strong yoruba nation.

Tinubu might have lost out in ONDO ELECTION but you should know you can't always win everytime in politics .

Tinubu is still relevant, he has someone he nominated as VP of this country, abike DABIRI is there, Fowler is FIRS boss, lai Mohammed is there and so on.

Lagos is the commercial capital of the nation.

The day i will agree with you that tinubu is no more relevant is when he no longer have a say in best state in Nigeria.

Obasanjo could have done that considering the fact that tinubu was openly condemning obasanjo.

But why are you crying more than the bereaved.

Don't you have politicians in your region to worry about.

This is politics you can't always win everytime or have things your way.

Tinubu brought progressive politics to south west although some governors have started derailing hence the reason people love him here.

You said tinubu is corrupt, well you may be right because i have this belief that no Nigerian politician is a saint but i need evidence .

Because i could remember obasanjo and tinubu disagreed on so many issues, and obasanjo was known then to always use EFCC to hunt down his perceived enemies. But tinubu was never prosecuted under PDP despite the fact that he was a threat to PDP. They just couldn't nail him. The only time he was tried was at the CCT and he was freed.

So if you can't show us evidence that tinubu is corrupt then STFU

You guys should stop giving us this thing you did way back in 1952 . Before you did that.. Yorubas had already elected nnamdi azikwe into the western regional assembly in 1951. So what are you saying?

We are talking about modern day Nigeria. Can igbos replicate such in this present day Nigeria? Don't give me that crap that yorubas don't come to the east, my cousin schooled there and he was told he can't be a departmenal president because he was yoruba despite the fact that his mother is igbo. .he had to go for secretary of the department.

Come to the south west, an igbo man from abia is the permanent secretary in ogun state so also one man from delta state. My secondary school principal was igbo.. We have many igbos in the ogun state civil service employed without minding were they were from..
We don't do that rubbish you guys do in the east where abia will sack all workers of imo extraction from it civil service.

If you go to the north, there are both yorubas and igbos in their civil service holding important positions.

Your own case is that when we give you something then you start agitating and making demands to produce deputy governor or even the governor or referring to those that gave you the opportunity to work and hold these positions as lazy people. And you start telling them they can't survive without you in their lands .

It's all these your statements like saying lagos is no man's land, that you control lagos, that you are paying more tax than others etc that's making yorubas have a rethink. Recently when akeredolu was declared winner some of you have started shouting igbos have taken over ondo state because your daughter is now ondo's state first lady. if you had kept your mouth shut maybe we wouldnt need to be suspecting each other the way we are currently doing now. There are many south southerners in the west but why is that you are the ones always making noise and crying. Sabo in abeokuta is very big and dominated by people from the northern extraction but you don't see them making noise here.

TRASH! It's a shame that you have the guts to defend nonsense. Yoruba states have thieves as governors but you guys keeps defending them, that is one area I like my Igbo people, we don't suffer fools gladly and any governor that misbehaves, will be shamed immediately. Almost all Yoruba states have been embezzled to bankruptcy, even supposed viable states like Lagos &Ogun are not left out. While osun & Ekiti are in a sorry state. while ondo, a supposed oil producing is not left out in the show of shame. Ebonyi state you mentioned is currently very viable with a relatively huge IGR. Same with Enugu & Anambra, its only Abia & Imo that are struggling in the SE. i pray they will Institute true fiscal federalism so we can know the real parasites in this Godforsaken country.
You are an illiterate.

Where have i defended any governor accused of corruption?

The thread is talking about states with huge debts and not corruption.
Or are you saying because America has huge debts then American government is very corrupt because they borrowed?

Okay because dangote has huge debts means he is no more the richest man in Africa?

C'mon use ur brain and don't be ignorant.

If you borrow money because you want to import goods from China, does that also means you are broke or corrupt?

You know nothing about economics

grin Afonja states are always leading in debt profile. It seems Ambode is spending beyond what accrues to the state to impress them.
Afonja and Bad leadership be like
Siamese twins
C'mon don't disgrace yourself.

You need to borrow to create infrastructures.
America's economy is one of the best in the world but they have a huge debt profile.

Dangote has huge debts but still the richest man in Africa.

Lagos state with his huge debts still has a better economy than your state.

If you don't borrow to create infrastructures, how then do you intend to improve on your IGR?

The Most important thing about debt is the ability to service it.

Most states in the south west are economically viable to service their debts .

Let me explain

Ogun state borrowed money to construct and expand roads in abeokuta, I mean roads with good drainage system not the roads i saw in the east without drainage ooo.

Now the roads have started generating money to ogun state through parking fees. Most of the buildings in the area has increased in value. So more money for government through property tax .

See, no financial institution will borrow you money if he is not convinced that your economy is viable enough to service it.

All business men borrow. If you an igbo trader selling wares and you want to make more profit, won't you borrow?

There's no crime in borrowing especially when you have a viable economy. only few states in Nigeria can do that. For instance how will a state like zamfara borrow huge amount of money when you don't have a viable economy in place to service the debts . Likewise ebonyi too.

That's why i keep telling people that most south west states don't depend on oyel money for development.. It's mostly foreign loans.

Instead of them to take advantage of amosun's recent slip ups, they are still fighting.
