deomelo:
Amosun can not be like Ambide because the financial realities and revenue in Lagos and. ogun are not the same..

The budget un Lagos is almost 3 to 4 times larger than the budget in Ogun.

By Ogun standard, Amosun didn't do too bad.

And by Lagos standard and available resources, Ambode is performing poorly and below average. Unlike his predecessors, he doesn't have any ground breaking projects or anything futuristic. After 2 years, he's yet to go beyond roads and over head bridge.
Besides Amosun can't cover every place at once. .Ogun state is big mehn, ilaro, abeokuta, sagamu, ijebu ode, ijebu igbo, ifo, ewekoro, aiaiyetoro, Ota, igbesa, sango etc..

But the good news is that work has resumed at alagbole, Akute side. .that place is very close to Lagos too. Ogun needs more development so as to benefit more from its close proximity to Lagos

Politics › Re: The Demystification And Decanonization Of Nnamdi Kanu by Omofunaab2:
When i saw those bail conditions, i said to myself this is not freedom.

What is freedom when you are not allowed to grant interviews

What is freedom when you can only be in the company of not more than ten people.

Kanu's freedom is not important more than the freedom of the millions of easterners that have been enslaved by the west, mid-west, north and middle belt in the zoo grin grin grin

He is greater than the cause he is fighting, he should be given total freedom to fight this cause diplomatically

The bail conditions looks like something written by politicians and Nnamdi kanu should be wary of these politicians seeking to take advantage of his popularity.

They are still the same people hindering his calls for a new country

God knows i can't wait for you guys to go

but the same family houses that you claimed It is taboo to be sold, but yoruba people sell their house, inluding their grand papa grave to igbo people in lagos.or are you waiting for igbo to come develop ibadan for you just like they did in lagos,so by tomorow you will be shouting suffer-sticated up and down.
Are you guys not ashamed of yourselves for repeating this "we developed" line over and over again

Prague, Cairo, Istanbul, Kano, are just few examples of cities that are much older than Ibadan but do not have brown roofs. Na poverty dey worry Ibadan.
It's not poverty. Recently amosun started a road construction in abeokuta, he wanted to demolish some houses and relocate the old people there to another place but they preferred to remain there.

Infact it's even a taboo in most parts of Yoruba land to sell a family house. We have most of our great grandfathers buried in most of these family houses... And since most of the locals still worship gods ,Infact most of the gods have been buried inside the family house..

You guys won't understand sha.. .besides there are modern places in ibadan (new areas) brown roofs is part of our culture.. We will preserve it like that.

It takes time to research those on the gallica website.
But you can go on that website by yourself.
Also just type gallica on nairaland research motor, you will be lead to all the precolonial maps which I posted on nairaland.
Seriously I need to go and sleep. Thank you all for keeping me company, I was correcting some silly copies and I didn't sleep all night.
Also address my modification of your wikipage. Did Awori people own space shuttles ?
You made a claim that most if not all Yorubas were once under the Benin empire and you said pre colonial maps were your proofs. And then I asked you to show us those pre colonial maps Since the onus lies on the person making the claims.

Dude, this is a lesson for you, don't dabble into things you know nothing about. You will always end up like a fool if you continue like that. You can't know the Yoruba history more than the yorubas themselves.. I can't know more about the Nri more than the Igbos themselves. You have aworis here on nairaland that kept telling you they were yorubas but you an indigene of probably onitsha or abakaliki kept saying they are not yorubas

Stop making claims you can't substantiate.

Go and sleep but next time, remember not to dabble into matters that doesn't concerns you or else you will end up looking like a fool like you just did today

1) Man, pre-colonial maps don't lie.
2) The fact that all yoruba chiefs and kings have copied the title of the Benin crown is also an other evidence.
3) The fact that Dahomey renamed itself in order to copy the Edo name is also an other evidence.
4) The fact that the title of the Benin crown means King in all Yoruba dialects is also an other evidence.
Show us the colonial maps that shows ijebus, owus, ijeshas, egbas, oyo etc were under the Benin empire.

OK, now you guys know, all the big tribes, haussa, yoruba, igbo are actually unions of several tribes which have a certain common history (in most cases). The igbo tribes were once under the ancient country of Biafra, some of the Igbo tribes were under the Benin empire. Most if not all Yoruba tribes were under the Benin empire at some point. The haussas have these same kinds of common histories as well

There is no such thing as "the yoruba tribe", what we have are different tribes which are being called "yoruba tribe".
You can not be a tribe if you have many languages. Each tribe has its own language, that is only common sense, but guess what the "yoruba-crazies" over here have no common sense.
Lol, and you want people to have a discussion with you like this.

That's why we keep saying most of you shouldn't dabble into matters you know nothing about.

Awori doesn't have a different language, what they have is a different dialect of yoruba just like the egbas, akokos, Ibadan etc have their own dialect of yoruba too
