I get sha but I'm feeling for the poor sick folks out there who die avoidable deaths daily following incessant strikes. They are humans too, and could be those dear to our hearts. A solution to this has to come. The worry is that the elite don't care because they don't use our hospitals anyway.

Please does anyone know why doctors in this country are always on strike. I thought they swore to an oath. People can't be sure of seeing their doctors in subsequent hospital visits because of the very frequent strikes in our hospitals.
Could this be why our politicians have left these hospitals for us while they take regular bed rests abroad.

The health sector in Nigeria is in serious crisis. Tertiary health facilities lack basic equipments for investigation and treatment. Staff are so poorly motivated that they take out their frustrations on patients. So many public hospitals across the country are on strike, denying many individuals who cannot afford oversea health trips like our dear politicians, basic healthcare.
I call on the new administration to restructure the ministry of health and focus on revamping the health sector in Nigeria before a national disaster occurs.

In Nigeria it pays to have lawyers, soldiers and doctors as friends. They could save your life in this messed up and crooked country.
Many managers of govt hospitals steal so much and leave the facilities without basic equipments. If EFCC works as they should, without sacred cow things, Nigeria can and will be better

Im the previledged source of the info i post. If u watch your tv, you would have long observed that many teaching hospital staff are on strike in different parts of the country for legitimate reasons the cmds union are trying to block k.

The CMDs of federal teaching hospitals are currently locked up in a battle with their staff after they have met as committee of CMDs and decided not to pay approved salaries to their staff.
The under payment have gone on in the teaching hospitals for two years now. The election of General Mohammadu Buhari sent shivers down the spine of these corrupt CMDs. However with the announcement of the APC government not to probe the current government, the CMDs have kept underpaying their staff
