Apologies for the late response. The Dutch embassy in Accra is where the mvv sticker (class D visa)will be put on your passport. You dont need any proof of financial status when you go to Accra. You are required to bring your passport, copy of your legalized marriage certificate(this can only be done by the ministry of foreign affairs abuja); if married and passport photo taken by the photographer located at osu Accra ghana(that's the approved photographer by the embassy). All documents required for the admission and your guarantee for a student Visa is solely required by the university. Once you have been offered an admission and you have done the needfil(paid for your accomodation; if you are opting for the university's provided accommodation, tuition fee and insurance) the university will process your Visa in the Netherlands and when it is approved you will get a notification via email to go to accra. The processing time is 10-15 days from when you provide the needful to the university. Saxion is a recognized sponsor/ university, so it shouldn't be difficult to get the much needed approval. Please refer to www.ind.nl for further information. I wish you all the best. Cheers |
Hello. It is only the university that can tell if you qualify or otherwise for a program. You can send your transcript and certificate to your intended university. Upon evaluation of your result/transcript/certificate, an offer can be made. Please bear in mind that some courses and universities offer pre-masters or preparatory classes before the commencement of a masters degree program. I wish you the very best. bayocanny: |
Hello. I am currently in Enschede as a masters student but my family is back in Nigeria. so based on what i was told when i contacted IND(immigration authority in the Netherlands) before coming here, is that a student is allowed to have their spouse and children stay with them in the Netherlands. The university will not assist with processing your dependant's visa but only you(the student). Once you are all cleared(received the notification to go to Ghana for your visa) you can start your dependant's visa application. with this option, you will need to write your v-number on their forms(you can get this via www.ind.nl) family reunification purpose. please bear in mind, that you are the only one that can travel now, your family will have to stay back in Nigeria till their application is completed(it usually takes 90 days/3 months wait-period, but some get their approval before the expiration of the 90 days). Another option, you could travel with all the necessary forms with supporting documents and send it to the designated office(Ter pel for now)once you get here. for your daughter, you will need to have a copy of her birth certificate and your marriage certificate authenticated from the ministry of external affairs in abuja. when filling your dependant's application, you are required to fill in a Netherland's address(so the option of getting here and having a place to stay and registering in a municipal is required) i wish you all the best. yetundefadeyi:Hello. I will like to know if you are in University of Twente already. Please can you share how life is in Enschede. Also how long did it take the University to contact you as regards your mvv? Any other information will be appreciated. Thank you |
9JAFULLBREED:Thank you for the response. My question is for anyone on the thread to share their process whilst applying for a dependant visa. Thank you all the same. Please can anyone share the experience in getting a dependant visa for their spouse and child/children. Most importantly the Ghana aspect. Dank je |
omoijebujesha:Hello. Please any information will be appreciated as regards the above question. Thank you |
Professor1234:Congratulations. We had to request for our passports because my daughter had an application appointment with the US embassy. There was no visa on our passports though I wasn't expecting one as I was made to understand that if one requests for their passport before a decision is made; which is subject to travel date to schengen country, no visa will be issued. Cheers |

Timeline: submitted our Dutch visa application on the 6th of June 2018. It took a total of 25 working days(excluding the two week days holidays we had in the month of june). I will share the outcome on Monday and the documents submitted. Cheers |

OmoBendel24:The outcome of our TRV was a refusal with family ties and travel history checked as the reasons for the refusal. It was an online application. I uploaded only my copies of previous visas( didnt attach that of hubby and then 1 daughter). Requested for the note from Cic; it didnt say otherwise. my sister moved from the uk to America via k1 visa. My brother is married to an american. Both ceremonies took place in America. |
dubolog:My sister used to work and live in the UK. Married a citizen. My brother was seconded to work in the united state married an American. No petition done on my behalf. |
dubolog:Ha! More children ke. Lol. We have 2. Oldest 5 yrs old, youngest 7 months old. |
dubolog:Funny enough both alone, with Children and conference all have the same line of questions. Some are: VO: where are you going in America me: going for my twin sister's wedding at Illinois/ attending a conference at New jersey that has to do with Safety VO: Have you traveled before? Me: yes i have, i mention the countries i have been VO: Unfortunately you dont qualify for a visa this time. me: Thank you |
Greetings house. i will appreciate the response from anyone. i am a married woman with 2 children and a good job(over 3 years with current employer) i have an extensive travel history(Studied in senegal and kenya, traveled to the UK more than once, traveled to Dubai, schengen countries(Netherlands, Spain and paris). This week was my 5th attempt at trying to get an American visa with my 2 daughters. hubby and i decided that the children and i should apply in order to increase our chances that we are leaving someone back in Nigeria but our application was refused. prior to this refusal, i have applied 3 times alone( 2 times for my siblings wedding ceremony) and 1 time to attend a conference. hubby and first daughter applied also applied together and were refused. Obviously there is something wrong. i have made inquires if i have been banned(that's the worse i could think of) but i was told that is not the case. i have never overstayed in any of the countries i have visited. i have 2 siblings living and working in the united states and are both legal. i have no intention what so ever to overstay. any advise will be appreciated. thank you |
awelekiti:Pls is this processing time applicable to all applications made prior to August 9th or fresh applications submitted on the 9th of August? Pls assist with clarification. My family and I submitted our applications online on the 8th of June , biometrics was done on the 11th of june and no word from cic till date. Thank you |
