my neighbours just had an emergency meeting concerning my dishes, according to the meeting, it was said that an army man, asked & enquire about the dish & its owner then ended by saying that i am using it to tap into people's channels that what am doing is illegal (meanwhile i didn't meet this soldier) that people who distribute/beam this various channels spent millions to air it, while me am just watching it free. No be small tin oh the man self wanted to come and arrest me oh. Meanwhile, i was nt around, in the emergency meeting they were asking me to dismantle my dishes 60cm,80cm,90cm(on the roof) and 1.8m on the ground to avoid unforeseen and unexpected wahala.. But me i no agree, i tried explaining to them that am nt watching paid channels rather F.T.A channels and that it is legal but am thinking about dismantling my 1.8m dish because is drawing too much attention since am staying in a school compound where people, footballers come to play their game, hence the army man case, plz advice

There is no need for you to be confused,the premium hd 2 lnb has varieties as you mentioned yourself in your
statement.If your single lnb you have with you is premium hd 2,you are free to track nilesat. The difference in the likes of twin or quad type
of premium hd 2 lnb is that with those,you have option to connect X number of receivers (2 or 3 etc, ) according to Twin or Quad type of lnb.

@ Ellahdarell. 2M is on Eutelsat W6 at 21.6°E. It is on ku band with this frequency 11669V2480. U need @ least 90cm dish to track it.

I am from Lagos and I have bought a used Strong HD receiver model SRT 4910 from Alaba. Because I had read a lot from this forum, I asked the trader to make it as good as new in terms of software expecting him to go back to the original factory default settings. He instead suggested to instal the latest firmware i.e. version 240p dated 22-2-2011. Since I had not paid for it yet I accepted on condition that I test it to my satisfaction. I am happy to report that my new used 4910 is like a mini computer of sorts. Besides its own recordings (trp format), it can also play other files like DivX and Xvid etc. thru the USB port. The editing functions are fantastic. I can cut out undesired parts (like ads) from a recorded file and a lot of other functions. While playing a recorded file press info twice to see a text with details about the movie just like INFO on live SAT viewing. It also has HE-AAC sound codec. There are probably more new functions but for that I leave to the gurus to tell us more.
After reading about warnings not to upgrade anyhow, I was happy to have a risk free firmware upgrade and I hasten to add: I would still not load any new software in my receiver. Its better left to experts and dealers otherwise the consequences are too dear.

Just to pass info across to those with 4661x 4663x.

There are 69x panels available in the market that can be fixed into your 61x or 63x converting it to a 69x.

it goes for 5-7K depending on the shop. All infinity video & audio, active & works well with those w4 channels that are open.
