1. Ensure you have about 5GB free storage in your internal before the upgrade. Android 10 is large.

2.How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process

What made the update to fail on your phone in the first place?

"something went wrong", Dat was d msg dat popped up. it was 1.6gb in size. it failed at 66%. I retried it but my data just got used up without any sign dat d update was successful.

Android 10 update failed on my redmi 7a. I av not been able to retry it since den. I came across dis on my phone memory today. Hrd it can be installed manually. Can i get d steps on ow to install d downloaded update manually?

Hi guys. I got a redmi 8 middle of last month. I no even bin reason come here.

But I get problems with the phone. The ram management is beyond awful. My phone would be reading 1.3/4gb, yet, apps would need to refresh.

If I minimize chrome for WhatsApp, within a minute, I'm not exaggerating, by the time I return to Chrome, e go don close!

E don tire me. I was asked to turn off MIUI Optimization in dev options. It's done, but still the same thing.

How do I sort this out?

I also had d problem with my redmi 7a. I had to play around with d phone settings and came across a solution. Though d fact dat miui is aggressive with ram can't be overlooked. The effect is still there but reduced. D 2gb ram phone now keeps some important applications in background for some hrs before closing.
Go to settings- battery and performance- app battery saver. Select d apps u want to keep running in d background without closing. U will find "battery saver(recommended)" selected for all apps by default. change to "no restriction" and u are good to go. U will surely see d improvement.
Note: dis MAY reduce ow long Ur battery last after each charge.

No 12gb ram for Poco F2 Pro currently. 12gb ram is an overkill on a smartphone presently. 6gb ram is moderate and 8gb ram should be d extreme.
Above all, d choice is urs. Happy purchase.

Guys, am sorry for detailing dis thread pls.
I av a laptop with one its hinges broken. D screen cant really stand on its own again without a support. Apart frm dis, everytin is working perfect. I bought it new.
I am currently in need of cash urgently and i tink i should let it go. Do any of u knw sumone i can meet either in computer village or its environs dat can buy it fast. Sharing such a person's contact with me will b highly appreciated cos i dnt want to just take it to anybody.

Aftanun all, i av been a silent observer and reader for sum time bt finally decided to at least bring sumone into d family first(my girlfriend). I got her redmi 7. Xiaomi is truly different and is indeed a value for money brand. D fone is sleek and beautiful. My friends at home and at wrk were all amazed with its functions and camera quality at dat price. Dey were busy snapping low light pictures with it yesterday and d pictures were impressive. Two pple already decided dat am taking dem to where i bought mine so as to get theirs. I almost forgot d fone isn't mine, still rocking my HTC and saving for mi9t.
Nw, i need a gcam link to at least improve d camera quality for her. D camera is dope bt i believe gcam will make it do better. Also, pls tell me d adjustments to make for optimum performance of d device. Thanks in advance.

Anyone using Nokia 2.1 currently should pls help abt telling us his/her experience with d fone. Although i understand its an entry level fone bt i dnt tink d camera should be as bad as d reviews i see online. Tanx.
