The fact is that Babatunde Fashola as Governor of Lagos implemented wide range of trailblazing institutional and public service delivery reforms. He also stubbornly implemented some revolutionary program and project ideas, which endeared him to Lagosians and made him stand out among his peers. Of course, in the course of doing all these, he surely encountered challenges. He is an ideal state governance resource person.

As an onye Anambra who lives in Lagos, I commend Governor Soludo for boldly inviting Fashola to tap from his wealth of experience.

From reforms in civil service, judiciary, school administration, to the issue of refuse disposal, traffic management, etc, Anambra State needs serious upgrade.

May Gov. Soludo succeed.

There are only two camps: Those who want the presidency to go to the south because it is their turn (and rightly so), and those who want the presidency to go to Atiku (masquerading as pro-consensus or 'throw it open') because they feel he is the strongest candidate the PDP has to defeat ANY candidate the APC puts forward.

I am certain that if the PDP had a candidate as formidable as Atiku in the south, nobody would have been clamoring for the zoning to go to the north or be thrown open.

I also do not think the push for a northern candidate is because they love Atiku so much, PDP are desperate to win the election. But I think things may get a little tricky if APC picks a south east flagbearer and PDP gives it to Atiku.

If APC goes southeast and PDP does same, PDP should probably win the election. If APC goes anywhere outside south east and PDP gives it to Atiku, APC will be trashed.

APC only stands a chance if they go south east and PDP gives it to Atiku.

Please what's even the numerical strength and value of that southeast you are shouting, last time I checked they're very inconsequential in terms of electoral values reason why they have been shouting for years and nobody tends to look at their side

Agreed, Nigeria's case is really a pathetic one, Tinubu is a very very corrupt leader with a lot of dirty track records. Atiku a grandmaster of corruption. Bukola Saraki an expert corrupt leader. Wike a thug, corrupt and a bully. Peter Obi a liar pretentious corrupt leader. Tambuwal a corrupt Green Snake under green grass also as corrupt as it comes. Amaechi master corruption expert. Sowore an untested waiting to unleash inner thuggery if given chance. Osinbajo also like all of those mentioned above. Nigeria's case is really really pathetic and yet we still need to at least support one of all those theives no option. Who curse Nigeria?

Here is the summary of ten key provisions of the new ELECTORAL ACT LAW as signed today by President Buhari.

1. Clause 29(1) stipulates that parties must conduct primaries and submit their list of candidates at least 180 days before the general elections.

2. Clause 65 states that INEC can review results declared under duress.

3. Clause 3(3) states that funds for general elections must be released at least one year before the election.

4. Clause 51 says that the total number of accredited voters will become a factor in determining over-voting at election tribunals.

5. Clause 54(2) makes provisions for people with disabilities and special needs.

6. Clause 47 gives legislative backing for smart card readers and any other voter accreditation technology that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deploys.

7. Clause 34 gives political parties power to conduct a primary election to replace a candidate who died during an election.

8. Clause 50 gives INEC the legal backing for electronic transmission of election results.

9. Clause 94 allows for early commencement of the campaign season. By this provision, the campaign season will now start 150 days to the election day and end 24 hours before the election.

10. Clause 84 stipulates that anyone holding a political office – ministers, commissioners, special advisers, and others – must relinquish the position before they can be eligible to participate in the electoral process either as a candidate or as a delegate.

I think OBi is a much better choice the Southeast can produce that the rest of us will support their ambitions.

Much better than Ayim at least. I feel though it's the rightful turn of the Southeast but they should show us seriousness by presenting a credible candidate like Obi then other regions will get behind them.

So in my opinion this is a good move
