Your assertions are totally wrong. Because a narrative is different from your own, does it make it foolish? I don't understand. Truthcat: Two things Babangida tried to do is, get ibos to praise him to high heavens and have him as a look-upon for political directives for 2027. The Abiola part is to make a few gullible Yoruba say, "look Babangida is telling the truth" when there has never been a dead or living person who thought Abiola didn't win the election.
I've not seen what Babangida said in his book and I don't really care, I don't expect truth from certain people. If Babangida is now telling us what was never in doubt about the election of 1993, but refused tell us what we want to know about why he annulled the elections, and then added that the infamous ibos coup is no longer so, means he's attention starved and wants to be praised by the usual culprits and stick it to president Tinubu who is their mutual enemy.
Babangida has really said nothing. We know Abiola won the 1993 election and that he annulled it with the help of the ibos. The 1966 coup is an IBO COUP and Babangida knows that, but he wanted to get praises and die as ibos hero , so he gave them what they needed |

Sheuns: An average Nigerian will refuse to read books written by authors that did some research about an event at a time or after, but will choose to listen to tales by moonlight from one elder that sat in his corner many years of his life.
This is the sad reality of the civil war, the events that led to it and its aftermath. I think this rubbish has to stop. You read 99 books that said yes it happened but there was no problem. 1 book decided to state otherwise and it's now a lie? What's the problem of an average Nigerian? Can there be different versions of the same story ? If you decide to believe on 99 books that said the same thing, it's fine. And if other people want to believe the only book that stated otherwise, is it a crime. You believed in book. Allow others to believe what they want to believe. You are no different or better than them. Or you don't you believe otherwise? |

No sir. We can't invade Niger or annex chad because, 1. The sanctions that comes with invading a country will pounce on us. The reason Russia & North Korea are still standing after numerous sanctions from the global and international community is because they have a working economy. Nigeria doesn't. We can't give 1 LGA 24 hours uninterrupted power supply. How do you expect us to survive the sanctions? 2. Our Security/Military Outfits are poorly-equipped and ill-managed, we can't stop Boko Haram, Bandits, kidnappers, Iswaps, Terrorists, now herdsmen, these group of people are unorganised compared to the standard military. If we cannot defeat ordinary and unorganised people. Is it now extraordinarily and highly organized people we can defeat?. Go and watch the movie "Patriot Day", it's about the bomb blast that occurred in the BOSTON MARATHON IN 2013(Based on a true life story). They you will know Nigeria military and by extension security outfit are ver-very useless in the grand and ungrand Scheme-Of-Things. 3. Finally, the north will not agree. They have relatives and wives in Niger, chad and Neighbouring countries. The problem is more complex than meets the eye! iamnotillicit: Is there any reason why we can't invade Niger and annex Chad...
Nobody should talk about sovereignty here, is it that Nigeria can't fight a war?

If Obi contests and takes SE, that will leave SS in open play as the region to decide who will win (I have forgotten the correct term now).
That is my assumption as a non APC person. Yea. He sees the handwriting on the wall. He knows the northern cabals are not with him since 2023 elections, that explains the reason he could not win any of the K states. The states of the Middle Belt are Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau. The middle belt is still majority Muslim region and only and exploded brain like yours and Obi's brain will expect votes from someone who has promised to fight them on a religious war
A dog or donkey will get more votes than Peter Obi in the entire Middle belt You just proved my point. The Unenlightened ones(the core north & sum regions in the middle belt will not vote for him. That's why Tinubu must do everything he can to please them. Therefore, to say Tinubu does need the north is COMPLETE FALLACY.Either ways.....Let's see how many dogs and donkeys will get more votes than Peter obi. |

Good2go1: Truly agbo has destroyed sense of reasoning in many Yorubas It's a shame my yoruba people has gone this low. Tinubu had more votes from the north than the south. Yet idiots are saying "they don't need the north". They are very foolish. And to mean no disrespect to the northerns, Tinubu can't win an election in the south alone. More Educated folks are in the south than in the north. That's why politicians like campaigning in the north than the south. The north vote based on association and "Herd Mentality". I have experienced it in real life. But you can't tell educated and enlightened people in the south to vote based on Association. They won't do that. This was the major reason obi could win Lagos and Atiku winning Osun state. The problem OBI had was he relied too much on the southern and middle-belt votes thinking that those votes will take him to ASO ROCK. If Obi can get key-opposition forces, allies and politicians in the core north who share the same ideology with him. Obi will win 2027 elections before 12 noon. Can't wait to see 2027, God spare us till then. |

Master Strategist my arse. It's because the opposition was not united in 2023, that was why he won, not because he is a MASTER STRATEGIST. A house(OPPOSITION) divided against itself can never stand. And I won't be surprised if cum 2027, APC will not field Tinubu in 2027. As for me, I want Tinubu to win in 2027, let's buy fuel at 5000 naira/liter and dollar at 10,000 naira. Maybe then we as a country will have sense and start voting leaders based on performance and competence, rather than tribe and religion. Till then Tinubu till 2031 Smartcitizen: Tinubu doesn't need the NORTH?

"People fear what they don't understand", so I don't blame your reason(s), the OBIDIENTs don't need any alliance(s) to do anything or get things done. If you feel they are a minority, it's your own useless opinion and it has nothing to do with whether the OBIDIENTs will win the elections or not. In fact let them lose, it doesn't change the fact that APC, PDP, LP and NNPP are buying the same fuel or exchanging the same dollar. Your assertions are very relative to the grand scheme of things and therefore holds no water. Nigeria will continue to fail. Whether the OBIDIENTs win or lose. Rather than coming together has Nigerians to fight against the system. We are here arguing who is worse, APC or LP, is that not foolishness in the highest order? LegendHero: If you are not strong, when the enemy defeat the bigger enemy, they won’t still give you power.
So what is the essence?
When Zik ganged with Balewa, did they allow him to use power? Did they not pay him back with mudding millions?
When your ancestors ganged with Shagari, did they gave Ekueme power? He died an unfulfilled man.
When you ganged with Bashir Tofa in 1993, did they gave you power? Where is Ugoh today?
