vivianobas: I funded 9k euros too but in my case I discussed the possibility of getting 750 euros monthly with Fintiba during the account opening stage and they sent the account opening confirmation in that amount.
Shoot Fintiba a mail telling them how much you funded and would like the monthly payout reviewed to 750.
Good luck Thank you, I will do just that. |

sassy92: 1. It takes 3-5 days. Some times up to 7 days. You'll eventually get it. 2. The money na your own. You'll still get it back. in fact it'll be very useful to you when you enter DE. PS: If your AD is September and beyond, you might need to top up. Thank you dearly @Sassy92, I've had my interview. |

Hello everyone. Just want to warmly congratulate all those who have gotten their AM, AD & those who recently got AL. For those waiting for AD, God's shall locate you. Keep faith and do not despair.
Please elders in the house, I have some questions
1) How long does it take Fintiba to send one a blocking confirmation? A friend of mine in Germany did a direct transfer into my blocked account yesterday (1/08/2019) and I'm yet to get a confirmation.
2) Instead of the €8829 to be blocked, he transferred €9000, is this going to be an issue? How do I get the excess money back?
Thanks Cc Eldee Sassy92 Fabcol Chriswazo |

Isoiso: Let God be praised!
And a BIG THANKS to all Nairalander who have contributed with one question or the other, answered or responded with a meaning. They all had, and is still worth awhile, though, I hardly have time to read thoroughly.
My journey to Deutschland started in August 2015, after my mother's visit and gave me the info. I made some contacts and started applications to Oldenburg for summer 2016 via UniAssist. Got UniAssist confirmation letter, but Oldenburg had shifted my summer application to winter decision with reasons only known to them. Also, I had applied for winter 2016 session in Bremen, with multiple applications when ever possible. But got all rejections for ALL applications in 2016, with the option of appeal for Bremen (even, I didn't use it). Though, I had challenge Oldenburg with series of email, demanding the reason for the late rejection after promising admission in summer for winter. Final response for all emails was a NO.
Because, I didn't want to spend money for UniAssist anymore, I had to focus on applications without in 2017, still with multiple applications when ever possible. ALL applications again, was a rejection. Yet, I didn't up but to try again in 2018. ALL applications, yet returned negative. But this time I summoned courage to appeal for Bremen. Only to get an admission email on the 2nd of October, 2018. Rushed to booked visa appointment, but got 28th November AD. Informed Uni-Bremen, but the course coordinator refused on the ground that I can not meet up with start up programmes. I had requested for a deferment, but never granted. YOU WILL HAVE TO REAPPLY AGAIN NEXT YEAR. YOU ARE ALREADY AWARE OF THE APPLICATION PROCEDURE was the statement from the course coordination.
Seeing that I gained admission, anyways, boast my hope. But thought, I can use the opportunity of the AD to an advantage for a German Student Applicant Visa. I applied in a language school and made all papers ready (with an SL). Got to the embassy, cleared in, and see me, see the V.O. The man just looked at my documents and smiled, cancelled one doc after the other, and said, "should you are to continue with the interview, you can only get a SHENGEN VISA and not a STUDENT VISA. But if you push for a Student Visa, you get a rejection. So my advice, withdraw your visa appointment, you need not pay any visa fee, but just cancel you appointment or you go for the SHENGEN".
Thought critically, with the Shengen, man will have to resign his job, leave his family and go for enjoyment. And at his return, man will start counting ceiling and cracking brain on how to get a job. Thank you very much for your advice, was my next statement, and then retreated with ALL my documents and cash intact. At coming out, I had informed concerned family member, yet disappointment greeted me. But after much explanations, "OKAY, let's hope for next year", was the conclusions.
Immediately, I started negotiating for the refund of cash for the German language payment. I finally got the refund on the 24th of May, 2019.
Meanwhile, 2019 I had spread out my applications for 7 schools without spending for posting application documents (though, this was possible because, I happened to know someone travelling back to Germany, so I made 4-sets of certified credential, bind up, and deposited them with a family member) with multiple applications pal school when ever possible.
ALL 6 schools rejected me (including the ones with multiple applications). Except for Uni Jena (though, I applied for 2 programmes, and was rejected for one). I applied on the 22.04.2019. Application deadline was 31.05.2019. Got admission mail on 17.06.2019. Booked appointment Cat A on the 18.06.2019. Got AD for 01.07.2019. Got AM on the 22.07.2019. Sent the needed docs on the 23.07.2019, and got my VISA with me on the 01.08.2019.
It just has been God.
Forgive me, if my writing is too much and my write may also not be correct, kindly manage it , only I feel, I could encourage at least one person in the house.
Many thanks Pecky, she has being of great assistance since 17.06.2019. I pray for her (she knows why). And I pray for everyone yet expecting, the God that has done my own will do yours in Jesus name (this was my pastors prayer on Sunday, 21st July 2019 and he asked us to mention our expectations to someone, I did mentioned it to two people who already known my plan (dem no dey tell people say u wan go Italy ooo ). That week was called THE WEEK ON DIVINE INTERVENTION..
By the special grace of God, I hope to meet you in Deutschland very soon.
Let God be praised!!
Danke! Auf Wiedersehen!! Tschüss!!! Congratulations bro, I hope to see you in Jena. |

INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT LOCAL MAN arrived the embassy at around 4:30 am and I was the 3rd person on queue but 2nd for student visa. Mr Paulinus I must say fit exactly into the descriptions I've been reading here.
I wouldn't want to bore you guys with the normal questions ( every other questions were normal), however,
1) the VO in room 3 didn't really give me enough time to express myself and say the things I know. Once she asked a question and I've been able to say 3 things she cuts me and moves to the next question. I felt bad sha.
2) just as I was about leaving, she called me back, opened my transcript and asked me to mention my 300l courses, ( I was like seriously, something I did since 2016?)? But I sha tried giving her some.
Every other questions were normal except for these two odd things. |

Thanks so much dear yusuftosin: 1. A page or 2 is okay.
2. Preferably on A4 paper
3. Place the double-page (as opened) on xerox and produce the copy.
4. NYSC certificate is not a compulsory document for Visa application. If you have it, it will be accepted. If you don't have it handy, you documents are complete without it.

Good evening house and hearty congratulations to those who've gotten AM. I have some few questions to ask and I look forward to clarifications
1) what is the maximum number of pages for the motivation letter needed for the interview?
2) should the motivation letter be written on a plain sheet or a full scape sheet? E get as my writing the be for plain sheet.
3) Should the last page of the International passport appear together with the data page? If no, is there a penalty if it does appear?
4) Coincidentally, my interview date fell on the the same date for my NYSC POP. Considering that the discharge cert is one of the documents required from those going for Masters, I'm quite confuse on the excuse to tender to Uncle Paulinus. I need your advice please. |

Waoh! This is super cool. One of the best motivational piece I've read in recent times. Well done @Deustchemann Deustchemann: Let me give you my opinion.
Rejection letters are an integral part of this race, especially when you are in a field that has very limited schools that offer non-restricted admissions. You'd even be surprised that some so called non-restricted admissions, will finally become restricted when the number of qualified applicants supercedes the carrying capacity.
When I discovered I was in this shoe, I decided to jack up the number of applications I'd submit. I posted earlier that I tendered Applications to 39 different programs across 20 different schools.
I received 13 rejection letters before my first admission letter dropped, and even after other Admissions came, I have also received about 10 rejection letters in-between.
My testimony page is on page1 of this thread. You'll find the dates I receive ALs there. But I must confess, I got discouraged at a point in time because most of the schools were not rejecting me based on bad CGPA. I have 1.7 German grade and a fantastic bachelors Thesis. They were telling me that they have too much qualified applicants and they can't take all. So you can imagine how it would feel like. I remember vividly on February 6, I went for certification at the embassy. On my way back in the afternoon, after hustling for danfo, in the heat and stress, I checked my mail and found a rejection letter from a school I placed much hope in.. my eyes got wet..but I remained strong.
Leaving the story, I want you to stay strong. Your Admission will surely drop. You'll share the testimony here by God's grace.
Please wait till you have your AL before you apply for an appointment. That's the proper thing to do.
God bless your hustle bruder. |

I'm still expecting my own date and I wish all of success. |

Please when a school requests for an official copy of a document such as attached, for enrollment purpose, what do they really mean? Does that mean I would have to send the original?
