Been a while I've updated you guys.. been busy and still busy, thus; no time for epistles, I'll be as succinct as possible.
Flora became a singleton mother on January 18th 2023. The fierce and tenacious male singleton would clock a month late February. Here are some lovely jpegs for you.

The wait is finally over. At day 75 of 1st mating, she finally whelped(17th jane, 2024). The sad news is she whelped only 1 puppy just as I predicted. I am still researching why dogs whelp singletons but for now, I think the date I was given for the most viable time to mate is wrong., or the male dog has been over mated.
Funny 7 serious buyers have been waiting for this litter.
It's a boy! Yayyyy! May God bless and keep him and give me the peace I desperately need.

Sadly economically that's a loss but the peace of mind and less stress that you'll enjoy compared to when she whelps multiple puppies can't be undermined

I don't even know how I developed this my method. But it's usually when she is lying on her side. I use both hand on both sides of the belly and feel gently for movements.
I developed the skill over time because of how close I am to the dogs and how regular I feel their bellies when they are pregnant.

You are very right. It's day 65 today ooo and I had not felt any puppies and no milk yet. It's strange cos by now, I should have felt puppy movements.
Besides the tummy bulge is not progressing though her teats are well pronounced. I have experienced phantom pregnancy with Ira several times in the past.
After Palpatine her several times within the day, I decided to do it one more time before bed and voila! I felt a movement.
She had 9 puppies in the last litter on day 70 of 1st day mating. It's the trend with her. she takes long to deliver whether she is carrying many or little.
I feel she has few puppies in this litter though.
Meanwhile, I have been careless about caging her during this pregnancy. She usually runs free during the day and caged at night when slam takes over duty. She is super active and always jumping, alert and ready to attack. (Next time, i will ensure she is caged except for supervised breaks)

Today's Jan 9, should be day 65th, has she given birth? My GSD is also on day 51, I hope you can update the thread soon; and I get to learn a few things to get me prepared for my pups birth

Your dog has pervo virus, take him to a vet asap! he would be given drip to help fight the virus

It's may be due to persistent scratching or a bacterial. My dog once had hair loss in her mammary gland area, so a vet recommend a cream for me, and it worked. I don't have it with me currently else I'll take a picture and send to you

Flora got her first heat back in February-March when she was around 9 or 10 months old. However, this almost November; she's yet to go Into heat a second time, is there a possibility that's something is wrong?

Read your thread last year, and I've been anticipating current updates on the dogs; so I followed your page. And damn you're such a good writer; I was overwhelmed by your details in describing each event as they unwrapped, you would definitely be an amazing journalist or writer; I would buy your book if you write one, lol .

Here is a picture of Flora @ eight months. Had plans to go home this weekend, spend some time with her and also get her recent pictures. Sadly school work cancelled out those plans.
Though She's nine months now. I was told she jumped over the kennel's door, and somehow found a way out of the compound scaring the hell out of neighbors(I guess she's really tall now) Although, the kennel has been built higher, I feel for her cause with my absence, she'll spend more time in her kennel and no walks until I'm back.

Haven't updated the thread this year, who would love an update?

You definitely love your dog despite his loopholes in his breed. That's good, it's the first test of a dog breeder.
What kind of sickness affects your dog and it's symptoms.
Secondly what does it love to eat, give him more of those and mix it into other nutritional food
How old is he if I may ask?

Hiii Flora here again!. Flora has been sick for most part of December, I wasn't home but I did make sure she was well taken care of. She frequently visited the vet and even had to take drip for 5 days. She's now fine, just in time to enjoy the merry of December. Seasons Greetings to every dog lover!!

P.S: She's eight months

This looks exactly like mine. It's a mixed gsd breed. Mixed with a Basenji. And it's growth is fine.

I don't really know what mine is mixed with but I know it's not a pure GSD but it exhibits a lot of GSD traits so I think it's more of GSD
