OoduaVanguard: At the rate some of these people brag about being achievers, one could be forgiven for thinking their region would be so special, developed and advanced that it would be the envy of the whole world. They say "charity begin at home", so I ask, how well have they managed their region that they expect others to clamour for their leadership over them? Smh. come to anambra and see what they call paradise. come to enugwu and see what they call city. anyway with time, your eyes will clear. |

dinachi: With the stock in trade of most of my people to limit their political risks, most imolites reviewing Buharis victory will gladly vote for Rochas Okorocha. Many are already reeling under Rochas oratory when he addressed a press conference advising Ndigbo to follow his leadership into the new government. A few weeks ago his words would have fallen on deaf ears but today many are paying attention. APC will perform much better in the gubernatorial election of 11th April than the recently held Presidential and National Assembly elections. Mark my words Rochas will triumph. you re not a propheth but a gambler. |

patrick89: One unique thing about igbos is their "I can do" spirit! Its only in igboland that you will see a handicaped man/ woman successful. You will see crippled men going to school, teaching repairing things. You will see blind, deaf and dump doing one thing or the other, had it been it were in the north or west they will troop to the street begging for arms. Their is nothing like handicap in the east, they ride modified motorcycle. very sensible comment. tunex23: So he donated his right hand to make doe? Occultic things. very unreasonable comment. |

Isn't it shameful for a whole minister to threaten and brag in public that his nation will kill citizens and even mention kids? Come on, look at it. How does that sound? did nigerian soldiers considered innocent civilians during biafrans war? the biafrans kliied a lot of nigerian sildiers while they attacked the biafrans civilians. |

As useless and dirty as Lagos. Its like dubai to Igbo...It shows their class lawma is a street carriage of dustbin.some yoruba that have igbos as a neigbour ve being thought how to wore a clean clothes and keep their house clean including environment. no offense frm observation. |

hotwax: Yorubas dont lament about Igbo in Lagos. Yorubas love Igbo in Lagos.
The saying "Lagos is no man's land" get yorubas angry. We want everybody in Lagos. We welcome people on our lands.
1. Lagos is somebody's Land (Igbo always contest this) 2. You can't come from your village and interfere in our politics. Yorubas never do that. Yorubas dont claim to own somebody else's land. We know our boundaries as visitors. yu know yur boundary and your pple came to our land and resides there hence the olukumi in aniocha lg. |

TBH, Igbos are better travelers than Yorubas but to come up with 3% means either you're being playful or you lack honesty. to travel and dominate re two different things.so i give them 3%. fact. |

You hardly see an Igbo family without a member living in Lagos. dubai is too beautiful to be use as lagos example. yes we go to lagos to do business and expand our business.but some place in lagos is too dirty to be compared as dubai. igbos have taught the yorubas how to be clean. |

hotwax: Oduduwa came from Middle east. He is a son to a king called Lamurudu. This is written in IFA divinity.
Dont tell me Oduduwa is a myth. Remember you believe earth was created by God. I know you can't disapprove that.{
Or as an atheist, you believe earth was formed billions of years ago by big bang. No one knows the date of the bang. No one kno the date of the date of the great flood. Dont tell me to look for date of birth and parents of Oduduwa. haha.. can we see where it s written in ifa divinity? |

hotwax: Guy thats what they teach you in school. Arabs teach their children "They are the owner of Jerusalem", it doesnt mean Arabs own Jerusalem. Everyone teach history from a favourable perspective, it doesnt mean its true.
Yorubas are Yorubas, Oduduwa is not from Benin, Okanbi is not from Benin. We only have few things in common. The only cultural similaries can be seen in Ile-Ife alone. Because Ife son becomes Oba of Benin, so he went there with Ife costumes.
Have you seen core Yoruba cultures? Its nothing of Benin. No similarities, Yorubas are a different set of people, very unique.
The IFA, the talking drum, Kijipa e.t.c....we are too big to come from that small benin. Ofcourse we had political marriages.
Its like Fulani people claiming Yorubas are descendant of Fulanis. Because we have intermarried and live together in Ilorin...Thats just political influence...Ilorin is not the source of Yorubas....
Get that into your skull
..................
However if the enclave of benin want to identify with Yorubas, there is no harm in that. We yorubas are friendly...You can even come and claim Lagos... Lagos, Yoruba Land is for everyone. Everyone is welcome. But do us a favor, dont be like Igbo who want rewrite the history of Yorubas..
Leave our history be...Leave us alone... Our culture is too rich for any ethnic group to tamper with.
Ifa was dated 600BC. IFA even alerted Yoruba people when Jesus was born...Ifa acknowledged the elders of a birth of "egg in the eye of olodumare"...Eyin loju olodumare....the precious one to the creator...
I have read IFA divinity, but christianity is my way, cuz IFA cant answer some question the bible answered. haha hotwax. that ifa must be very powafool o |
