utumunta: Dat d office of d governor of Imo state ws nt recognised in such an event smacks of political undertone. Methinks Obi n Okorocha are secretly slugging it out 2 step in2 late Ikemba's shoes n capture d soul of APGA.The question is does imo state have governor or a bully? You guys should go back and elect a reasonable and humane working governor as Peter Obi and not some quacked, hacked, talkative, bullying governor in the person of roachas..the simple analysis of him zeros him down as mere tout in the media and public domain |
Roachas is a common tout..he does not deserve to be a local government chairman talk more of being a governor. What a shameless man.. |
bashr8: you only se net migration where you want to see it, it can apply to chinese since they are verywhere, it can apply to indians, europeans, yorubas who live all over the world even in unknown nations, fulanis etc. stop deluding yourself. over 80 percent of igbos live in igboland .onitsha, aba and ph are over crowded already .Hit the crazy bald head hard.. He does not know that Igbos outside Igboland are 1/1000th.. |
YORROBEERS are leaches.. |
mimifonwon: Why are your perpetuating the same hate you are being fed, I believe there are a lot of heroes in the yoruba land, and if you also will stop being a tribalist and see it, you would appreciate the like of soyinka, adesida-current chancelor at major uni in usa,- great men, so many others. Just like every fruit bears good fruit, it also can bear bad fruits. Do not judge a tribe by one man's action. Maybe if you start turning the other cheek and stop all these rants full of h8t and ethnocentric ideals, perhaps we can all move on. I believe nairaland actually shows us the true mirror of our countries future and maybe if we all learn to accept eachother for who we are and not look at tribes as indication of worth, then slowly we can make a better nigeria for our children.Maybe you should start by taming these mgbati mgbatihere first.. ![]() |
nwabobo: AlJ_harem, can you put up a list from your state that can compete with the list from Anambra below. If you do that, I'll denounce my Igbo lineage;Using Anambra as a benchmark will be too much even for the entire YORROBBER LAND. You should have used 1/3 of an LGA in Anambra instead of the whole state.. I know that Anambra alone has more bright minds, educated elites and human capital than the entire SW-Yoruba |
obo_man: I would have to disagree with Achebe again on these wrong claims because the facts doesn't support his claims.......Does that explain why AWOLOLO committed suicide..huh? Also does that explain why |
Does that explain why AWOLOLO committed suicide..huh? Also does that explain why |
blasterman: Awolowo was just a civilian in a Miltary government. Gowon was the military commander while muritalaDoes that explain why AWOLOLO committed suicide.. ? |
Does that explain why AWOLOLO committed suicide..? Why did AWOLOLO commit suicide if the greatest African celebrity Achebe is lying.. |
Eko Ile: I went over this issue several times and finally reasoned with Fashola.Bingo we all know you will agree with everything d1ck with fashole. Why not if not.. ? Even when its obvious that fashole is making incoherent statement.. You need to start demanding for refund on your school fees..oh lest I forget it was a fake free education given to you monkeys by that ex-con awoalowoa.. |
Yorrobers are born cowards.. See how almajiris are killing them like rats.. ![]() |
It was the yorrobber leaders that took bribe and had to hand over Abioala and his wife to the ordinary almajiri to be slaughtered. Afterward Mustafa confirmed it that yorobbaer leaders took bribe from the hausas to have their leaders killed. What a shameless tribe.. |
Achebe is the greatest and most important African celebrity living.. |

Yorubas are steadily being sidelined as a minority group in the political and economic corridors. Even Yoruba companies led by walee Tinubo was thrown out at the bidding process. Igbos (Emeka Offors) and Hausas (Abdusalamis) has taken over the power sector. All that Awololo did in 1972 indegenization policy that handed over all the companies to Yoruba when the Igbos had only 20 pounds has been over turned by God Almighty. GEJ thump for 2015 |
Awololo was actually used by Hausa-Fulani to achieve their dirty work and was later dumped on the garbage to commit suicide.. |
This is the protest in New York for genocide committed by Nigerian government against Biafra.

afam4eva: Biko, ka anyi nu ife. As far as i'm concerned Aba and Onitsha and in the same position.Mr man I don't have your time biko. FYI: Aba has no equals in Nigeria in the areas of dirtiness, disorganization, unlawfulness, disaster, bad leadership; name it. Shove your a/s/s elsewhere |
Abagworo: Abeg stop writing gibberish. I don't have time for people like you because I'm a realist. I went to Aba and didn't see any difference with the other non-capital large towns in Nigeria. In my humble opinion, it is even more organized and cleaner than the Onitsha you are praising. You are a big time anuofia. Aba is the nightmare of Igboland and Nigeria at large. In all analysis which we have treated here severally on NL, Onitsha is countries ahead of Aba in all its ramifications. Aba remains the most dirty, disorganized, unlawful entity I have come to know. At present the entire roads leading to the same Aba is impassable due to no government presence in the town. Take a look at Port harcourt road, asa road, osisioma all in Aba, these are supposed to be CBDs of the same Aba your exalting, but its all disastrous environmental degradation all over the place. |
^ This imbe.cile Abagworo, you have come again, I hope you do not want e-war to descend on you once again. Why bring Onitsha into your Aba ngwa gibberish? Why are you mentioning Onitsha on the same page with most dirty and unliveable town called -Aba? FYI: Aba and Abia are the worst place in Nigeria and West Africa by extention. There is no part of Onitsha that is as dirty and disorganise as a Aba and Abia state. Onitsha is modern city with Port facility, bubbling multinationals, largest organized market, etc. Aba remains the worst thing that happened to Igboland and Nigeria at large. |
Silly tribe |
Insecurity topped the agenda of the Yoruba Unity Forum yesterday, which met in Ikenne, the home town of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. The leaders said that their kinsmen would not be caught unaware. The meeting, which was chaired by retired Anglican Bishop of Akure diocese, Rev. Bolanle Gbonigi, under the leadership of the matriarch of the Awolowo Dynasty, Chief (Mrs.) H.I.D. Awolowo, lamented the high level of violence in the country. However, the forum did not disclose its strategies to stop Boko Haram from infiltrating the South-West. In a communiqué signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Bishop Gbonigi and Senator Femi Okurounmu, the Forum said it would be suicidal to disclose the details to the public. On the alleged marginalisation of the Yoruba by the President Goodluck Jonathan administration, the forum said it had already met with the President. While assuring the race that the imbalance would be addressed soon, the forum called for patience by the Yoruba. In an interview with newsmen, former Secretary General of the Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), Dr. Kunle Olajide, confirmed that the forum had met with Jonathan. Olajide’s words: “It is true that Yoruba have been marginalised in the current dispensation. We are aggrieved and not happy about it at all, but we are hopeful that he will correct the imbalance because when we visited him (Jonathan), he assured us.” Senator Bode Olajumoke, who also lamented the non-inclusion of Yoruba in key positions, said: “Yoruba are nowhere now and Nigeria is a tripod. In education, the South-West is highly sophisticated, but what have we got to show for it politically? I believe this thing has to be rectified in appointments so that the South-West may take its rightful position.” Olajumoke berated the presidential committee, which was raised to review and work on the appointments of board members, lamenting that there were no Yoruba indigenes on it. The National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress, Gani Adams, who also spoke on the issue, said Yoruba are not within the first 10 positions in the country. Although Adams said he had no reason to doubt Jonathan, who promised to correct the imbalance, he said such correction should not be through board appointments but ‘’through giving Yoruba a prime position in the country’’. During the meeting, which lasted several hours, the forum also received and unanimously adopted the report of the forum’s delegation to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital. The delegation, which participated in the joint meeting with other delegates from the South-South as well as South-East, informed the meeting that the meeting had set up the Southern Nigeria People’s Assembly (SNPA). The team, which attended the SNPA’s parley in Uyo, explained that the aim of meeting, which had former Vice President, Alex Ekwueme, as leader of the South East and Chief Edwin Clark, leading the South-South zone, was aimed at creating a new platform for unity and development for the people of Southern Nigeria. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, who led other traditional rulers to the meeting, urged the forum to sustain the unity of the Yoruba. Sijuwada said: “The unity of the Yoruba nation must not be compromised. We must all work together to ensure that it stands in the overall interest of all.” Prominent Yoruba leaders at the Ikenne meeting were a former Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande; a former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Bola Ajibola; Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu; (Mrs) Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele; and a former Head of Service of the Federation, Prof. Oladipo Afolabi, among others. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/national/yoruba-leaders-lament-races-marginalisation/ |
