You guys bringing such post or topic here should go and get a life, this ** FORUM IS ONLY MEANT FOR ISSUES AFFECTING NIGERIA < HOW TO MOVE US FORWARD, CREATE WEALTH FOR YOUNG GRADUATES & PROSPER US AS A NATION** so therefore restrain from mentioning anything partaining to the UK. We don't need to know what's going on in that country or your yeye IT Courses your going for, the tea you drink if its PG Tips etc. After all the greedy UK government are still holding on to over $10billion stolen by Abacha and logged in Natwest, HSBC & Barclays and the banks have refused to make the money available to us the Nigerians or give us any debt forgiveness. ** YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ** |
Having our constitution revisited will give we Nigerians a say on how we are been governed and led. We will also have the oppourtunity to say no. Guys we are now librated from the draconian rules of the constitution which clamps down on freedom of speech so don't hold back. I need this thread to keep going and people signifying their support, by agreeing or disagreeing with me. |
We all come to this site to exercise our freedom of speech and the right to live in a just and civil society, yet we as **Nigerians are Cowards** and won't be brave like Mandela who traded freedom for imprisonment, for the greater good of his people and the generation's to come. He modelled a type of Muhammed, Moses and Christ. If I suggest we hold a peaceful rally at race course to create awareness of how much we are frustrated as Nigerian's with our leaders, I know I will be on my own. I haven't met any Nigerian in my life time, having been living in this world experience now for over 50yrs that his willing to sacrifice there freedom and love for money for change or are even willing to take on people to be mentors to and help in shaping their lives. We will rather be content with the oppression we are currently facing, so far we get goods jobs, can drive flashy or average cars, send our kids to school, buy our wives the latest clothes and be a local champion. I think being a local champion is still the same reason why certain people, groups, faction or tribal groups are controlling the pot of soup and who eats what, knowing fully well that if things were to be based on merit, then they have no leg to stand on. How long monkey go they work, way baboon go they chop, its the same people, tribe, factions and party members that have been chopping Nigerians money in the last 40yrs, behaving as if the nations wealth is their birth right, that are still there. If you guys no be coward, signify your interest to meet up at a venue and we will arrange to mobilise about 5million Nigerians to go to race course or a venue we agree for a peaceful, non-violent non-confrontational rally. In Athens because they killed only one boy, the police and government see wennnnn! for about a week before peace was restored,. ** May God bless Nigeria ** |

American laws, which are derived from their constitution, are regarded as equal denominator. Although American laws are not absolutely perfect, I cannot over stress the protection of individual rights, fairness of justice, freedom of speech and movement, religious tolerance, discipline, freedom of press, right to bear arms, due process, right of the people peacefully to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances etc, which the constitution and laws have provided for the citizens. Whatever power is not granted to the leaders and politicians of America by the constitution is invested with the citizens. The citizens, with the power of their votes, can change any political party that fails to perform to the satisfaction of the American people. Can the same statement be made about Nigerian constitution and the citizens too? NO! America is a country of laws, and can enforce it 99% of all time without fear or favor. It is only good and effective laws that can bring different people from different countries, with different background to the same level without discriminations. In America, ignorant of the laws does not exculpate the defaulter. In comparison, while American constitution and laws have yielded positive results in providing good welfare for the citizens, justice, transparency, and economic development etc, for the country, and continue to head NORTH in those areas, Nigerian constitution and laws have yielded negative results in the same areas, and continue to head SOUTH, in the wrong direction. In agreement with the biblical saying, that “by their fruits thou shall know them.” I let my readers be the judge. If Nigeria is going to remain united, and be a viable economic power as America, or other developed countries of the world, it must find this missing thread. Our strength and unity cannot come from a common language, color of our skin, geographical location, culture, diversity, size and population, but in our laws and order which will be embedded in our constitutions.

God laid it on my heart that the calibre of people like Baba Adeboye could bring about the much needed change in Nigeria and now is the time to put aside all mistakes that has led to alot of grieviances, anger and fustration against him. The problem isn't baba, we are the problem, why don't we change the way we see him and the relationship he has with OBJ and his cronies. Then we send a delegate to him or setup a group of people using a non confrontational or violent approach and engaging Baba with our concerns and how we see him, his romance with this people when God has made him a King maker. You know what he has permitted to happen isn't strange, because in the bible good prophets turn bad. Its called human nature syndrome. The other problem is that we Nigerians lack education on how to change our culture of emotional blackmail, I say this because anyone that brings this issue up and talks about going to meet baba Adeboye could be seen as touching the prophet of God and they could be perceived as being rebellious or even arrested. More so, they could be blackmailed with the Bible verses about not touching God's anointed one or do his prophet no harm, the question is wasn't Saul anointed of God?, Please lets wake up and have intelligent Faith, our Faith in Nigeria is too PASSIVE. The problem we as Nigerians have is that we don't use our moral powers enough and we look too much at those that have formal powers and authority. Everyone within them can develop moral authority by been people of integrity, which we as a nation lost, with the help of Uncle I.B.B We should give ourselves, our nation and Baba Adeboye a chance. We should make him aware that he as a person with all this recent scandal and allegation is indeed in conflict with his call to save souls and a nation. We all as children of God regardless of been Muslim or Christain are a spiritual nation and God sent all the prophets to save a nation and not their belly. Please check the Law review archieve on Saul v David. Time is running out, next year is 2009. In 2 years time it will be 2011. Everyone that has issues with the way the camp is been run, their concerns about any kind of damage its doing i.e. to the environment or commerce and the annual convention, should look at the government for not been proactive enough by making a by-pass available after 10 years they have been made aware of this problem. That's not Baba's fault, lets engage him because the people he has as advisers might be blind to all this as they might be toooooooooooooooooo spiriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii and become blinded to what you guys on the fence can see, because all an average Nigerian cares about is for that materialistic change in there situation, because of our Leaders driving the great nation Nigeria to its Knee. Its never too late to take back control as Nigerians, for the sake of our future and generations to come. Look at Martin Luther king and the in-road he laid for Obama, we Nigerians don't live sacrificial lives, we are to egocentric, selfish and too materialistic, hence the level of our suffering as a people. We have to nominate Baba Adeboye as the next presidential candidate for Nigerian Presidency, he could lead and have great advisers to follow, most of all the disciples had a normal day job and they combined it well with their call to save souls, whatever education Baba needs to get he will, don't forget his not an illetrate, he used to be a university lecturer before his call to save souls. ** MAY GOD BLESS NIGERIA **

Lycotech keeps saying its free and yet he hasn't told anyone on how to obtain any, ** LAND THE PLANE ** my friend |
Everyone wants to work for shell and Chevron, Nigerians wakeup there are other alternatives been developed by the 1st world countries right now, that in a decade or 2 ** CRUDE OIL ** will no longer be required and you guys that think that’s escapism for now working for an Oil company, might become beggars in the future and become irrelevant in the Nigerian society, do you know right now they've developed cars that run on water, some on Bio-diesel and other alternative forms of powering cars are been developed because of green house gas emission. Nigerians wake up!!, there are still untapped resources both intellectual and human that will make billionaires out of us. Right now the department of state in America, is beginning to exploit the diverse Nigerian cultures by making our languages into DVD & CD format for people to learn other Nigerian languages even though they've never been to Nigeria. In the information age that we are, the only source of sustainable development is to tap into the new age medium of trade, we have lost our world famous ** COCOA PYRAMIDS ** after the end of the Agricultural age and the introduction of the industrial revolution Why aren't we using hindsight to empower ourselves, knowing that having for sight from past experience is the key to creating the kind of wealth millions of unemployed graduates need. We should have a shift in our thinking that we have to be rich within 1 year of leaving university or go into politics to steal from public funds. The current wealth in Nigeria is meant to be for all of us, that’s why the IMF refused to cancel our world debt even when ** Bonno ** raised the awareness that African children bee born where already in millions of Naira debt and there future was bleak and he did a concert to end world poverty, Obasanjo proved that we are indeed a wealthy nation whose funds are been mis-managed by paying off our world debt. Let’s all start from our homes and see how we can empower oursleves, by coming clean and changing our greed for money and wanting to be successful in-order to become a local champion. Then let that give me to planning on how t osustain our ingenuity and looking to having our ideas develop, involving our leadership through our government to enforce and make policies that creates opportunity for them, as well as the enterprenuers that comes up with great ideas that creates employment and wealth for all of us at large. When oil finishes what will happen? ** MAY GOD BLESS NIGERIA ** |
We need to come forward with ideas and not only look after our stomachs for now fellow Nigerians, otherwise we run the risk of been extinct as a nation in the next decade |
Hello fellow Nigerians, I'm calling on all of us to start a new generation of Nigerians with a new focus, paradigm and mandate to ensure our future is guaranteed by liberating ourselves from our limiting mindset of ** SCARCITY BASED IDENTITY** Nigeria has huge potential yet untapped because the people of Nigeria's over inter-dependence on its government to make things happen is leading to poverty amongst the whole populace. I cried my eyes out when I read the book ** This House Has Fallen: Nigeria in Crisis by Karl Maier **. I know there isn't an easy answer to this question, we loosing our place in the leadership position of African Nations, albeit the wealth of knowledgeable & highly educated people in Nigeria and the numerous economic opportunities we have that are yet untapped because we aren't showing leadership, by living a principle centred life, which brings structure to our lives, which begins from our homes, there by passing on a legacy to the younger generations and our children. We as a people under the leadership of our government all want to be rich overnight without appreciating the fact that their is a price that has to be paid to be rich and there is an honourable way of doing it, we all follow the legacy left behind by few of our notable leaders. I feel sorry and convinced the time has come for us to turn back the hands of the clock by coming together as one people and voice, utilising a ** NON-VIOLENCE** & ** NON-CONFRONTATIONAL ** Approach in meeting with our leaders from the grass route level upwards in seeking for a change and a leadership that is involving, in our communities we become our brothers keeper, coming together to provide education, health, infrastructure, employment, innovation i.e. at least be found doing something positive to change our lot, before engaging our leadership for support to make the wider goal a reality. I will be putting up other topics that needs addressing and everyone is welcome to contribute to see how we can bring about ideas and solutions to help alleviate the level of suffering and tension in our country amongst the tribal divide and the rate of ** GRADUATE UNEMPLOYMENT ** which is a resultant factor to a whole lot more of instability and the peace, stability and security of our great nation Nigeria, which we all once enjoyed. Oil has become a curse than a blessing after over 50 years, we are worse off than we were before oil was discovered, we are in the information age now and the very existence of Nigeria on the world Map depends on emerging and innovative ideas, see what MTN is bringing about to the way we communicate in Nigeria, also helping to provide the kind of future our graduates deserve, we can have more companies like this!! Who will make the defunct ** NITEL ** become a ghost of its shadows, if our leadership will not do there bit, we as a people should empower ourselves, CHEVRON & SPDC Oil Nigeria are snobbish institutions filled with a culture of NEPOTISM ** MAY GOD BLESS NIGERIA ** |
