Yh there are people like that. Once there was a youmg man in my area. In his case, he was unmarried. Dude always returned home from wherever he worked, with different ladies. So, by Gods grace, im a cadet in NDA. Now ive been asked alot by many of my mates and senior cadets about how many samas (girlfriends) i have and each time i replied that im not in any relationship and infact never been in one, sometimes they laugh in disbelief but most times it upsetted them to the core thinking im bamboosing them or something. Now to avoid those embarrasing situations, each time im asked i reply that i have 2 or 3 which they they are quick to believe. Alot of civilians i interacted with and somehow knew, struggled to believe me and some even thought it was abnormal. Now, not that im bothered, but out of curiosity, im forced to ask if it is actually abnormal? I have the mindset of pursuing my dreams which for now is to be an officer and to look at a womans direction when im settled enough to marry. Yet alot of people think its lame and even find it abnormal to not have samas. How exactly?

She was never interested to be mine, yet she was always on me. I didnt care to know why as i was only interested in winning her over. I thought about her always in my spare time. I genuinely was ready to wait with her till marriage. Its worth noting that im not interested in sex as i strongly believe in sex before marriage. Ive never been in a relationship before, not because i didnt wanna but because i am the shy type and in school then, it was extreme as i even struggled to maintain eye contact yet alone converse with the opposite gender. I was the most handsome looking in school then and even here i am the most. Most of my coursemates would concur. Not bragging tho. I was called gay and all sorta names cus of my weakness. In ss2, one female was making moves on me. It was obvious. I was uninterested untill my friends started pressuring me. I had to cus the ridicule was getting too much. After receiving some whooing tips, i thought i was good to go. At times i didnt even know what to say and at times i was extremely shy. This girl was very understanding with me. I fell in love pretty fast, for the first time in my life. I spent alot on her and at times even mamsad my dads funds just to make sure she got her desires. My love for her knew no bound. But then, each time i asked her to be mine, she would say forget about it. .tbc.

yes we are paid. After prep wing which is usually 2 months, you start getting paid monthly.

Theres no cause for alarm. Just let them know that u made a mistake during registration when u go for documentation in afsb. They will change it for you.

Since my phone was stolen, ive been unable to remain active here. Something i looked forwad to as we went on break. Sorry guys. Although i managed to retrieve my sim, all numbers were gone including that of okotv. My roommate and other senior cadets would think i deliberately didnt wanna call them.

Apparently, some cadet mamsad my phone. I'm currently using a brothers phone pending when I get one for myself. So my replies wouldn't be fast. Hope y'all don't mind...

Also I want to fast forward to the beginning of this quarter.

On 3rd January 2023. We resumed afaka from our short December break. Few days to resumption, I was already feeling down, heartbroken and low on morale knowing fully well that we were about to resume again. I genuinely contemplated whether to resume or not but alas I made the decision to.

Arriving kaduna on that faithful day, I moved to NDA Kaduna, Afaka. Getting to the gate, I saw lots of cadets already making their way into the premises. Time was somewhere around uhm 1500 to 1600hrs. Our bags were roughly checked for contraband, after which we boarded the buses that would take us to our lines.....

We were dropped off in front of cadets brigade where we got welcomed by mean looking cadet sargeants.
"If you know you're in possession of a phone, or any other contrabands come forward and submit them. If I should check my self and I mamsa one in your possession, what your eyes will not see today!" Threatened the most mean looking cadet sargeant on parade.

Though I hesitated earlier to submit, but after his threat, on my own I found myself removing my sim and handing over my phone. We just resumed, I no fit start to set suffer this early.

After going through my kaya, I mamsad it to my battalion. On arrival, we were greeted my our battalion cadet corporals who signed us in.
After which we were all given portions to do Jikapa on. On our civils, we scrubbed the floors untill even me doing the scrubbing was impressed. I dry mopped after which I got the go ahead to go to my room.

I mamsad my kaya again and headed to my room but just before I got there, a 2nd termer managed to wheel me to his room. I was helpless. I did Jikapa for him, arranged his room and was even shinning his boot when my roommate miraculous entered the room and saw me. Even I couldn't believe it. We moved to the room where I also did Jikapa and arranged it properly. By the time I was done believe me I was already looking like Scooby Doo in my kaya. Anyway, I later went on to realize that I was even luckier than most of my course mates who didn't see their various rooms until they were already shouting for checking.

I already shoned my boot and was dressed in my FSMO, waiting for whatever parade we would be having although deep down we all knew that there would be a fire alarm.

Suddenly, the other clown in my room barged in sweating and looking confused.
"O boy I don come since 1200 oo but I dey do Jikapa since na just now them dey allow me." I laughed out loud realizing how lucky even I that was complaining earlier was.
"Abeg help me find my nametag and junz for inside my bag make I dress up them don dey shout for checking already" he lamented.

By the time he was don dressing, we were already late. We hurriedly went to the venue and by the time we arrived our course mates were already taking numbers.

"I'll count 5 the both of you are hanging up on that pole like bats..... One, two, three" were words from a mean looking 3rd termer

We scrambled to and managed to make count.

"Please don't be the one that would drop because even me I'm afraid of what would befall you if you do. Manage and appreciate this position"

My hands were already feeling weak yet I hung on. At last my coursemate dropped and I got dashaway.

"You!, Run and go and join up."
I ran and went to join up.
Whatever happened to the other cadet remained a misery.

After checking, fire alarm was banged!
After going through the battalion making sure there was no one cutting 5, we made our way to the parade ground.

If only we knew what was awaiting us.... *Sighs

NDA is very tough, if anyone tells you otherwise then the person is lying. During training, one recurrent thing I noticed was that your mindset determines a lot. I saw NDA as an adventure and everyday comes with new challenges. Soon you would see your juniors and things would pick up again. Quickly return as soon as you can, serve the job, it won't kill you and there would definitely be a dash away. Don't allow your slot to go to waste. Officers Corp is sweet. My organic roommate is a 5th termer now both in the Navy and Airforce and they would become officers this year, I remember them then and now and the difference is clear. Zero your mind, remove fear and go back and face it. the only easy day was yesterday. Find a way to reach me let me talk today.

Well I never wanted to admit, but I gave up already. I carried on few days ago, but I'm already considering returning tomorrow. Apparently my roommate called my parent about my absence and at his request, I had to return home from where I was hiding to discuss the issue with him cuz I never wanted him to know until I've been SOS. We've agreed that I'll return, but the resources to isn't even available. T-fair from delta to kaduna is no joke, so I'm waiting for the reply from my bro to see if he's able to lend me anything. Meanwhile, there's no doubt I'll be returning to more jobs and since I've managed to make myself a culprit to a massive and colossal number of snr cadets, yeah I'm not expecting things to be any easier. Life have tire me.

This quarter has been the most difficult for me ND for once since reporting august last year, I feel like carrying on. Meanwhile, good luck to y'all aspiring for a place in 75RC. We will meet one day by the grace of Almighty God
