The christians living inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia do so under a staunch Islamic regime. All of the outward displays of the Christian faith have been forbidden anywhere in the Kingdom and the Christians also have to be completely aware of the rules and regulations of the Sharia Law, which is the set justice system for Saudi Arabia.

None of the natives in the Kingdom are Christians and the Christian community is limited to the expatriate community residing in Saudi Arabia.

1. The Christian population in Saudi Arabia

There are around 1.2 million Christians currently residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which makes up around 4.4 percent of the total population in the Kingdom.

2. The first church in Saudi Arabia

Najran, which is located on the southern tip of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was, in fact, the first every Christian city in the entire region. Hanyan or Hannan had converted his family to the Christian faith and had founded the first church in the city during the earlier part of the fifth century.

3. Christian
In the year 520 A.D. the King of the Himyarites, King Yusuf desired to convert the entire region to the religion of Judaism and laid siege.

When the siege ended, the forces of King Yusuf had murdered all the Christians in the city who had refused to convert their religion. In entirety 200 Christians were killed for not giving up their faith.

4. The oldest Christian church
The oldest Church standing in the entire world is currently located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The Church is thought to be dating back to the fourth century. The ruin has been partially excavated and is also protected by the Antiquities Department of Saudi Arabia.

5.Christian safety in Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is according to reports is one of the safest countries in the world to live as a Christian.

6. No active church
There are no operational or functioning churches in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Christians to go and worship. Publicly practicing any other religion except Islam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is prohibited. This law has been strictly enforced and has been used in recent court cases.

7.The celebration of Christmas
The Saudi Christians can only celebrate the religious occasions of Easter and Christmas; however, they must do so in the privacy of their own homes.

8.No Saudi Christian
Officially all the Christians in Saudi Arabia are foreign expatriates or workers since Christianity or any other religion other than Islam has been prohibited to be followed by the Saudi Nationals.

9. Christian symbols are banned

10.The preaching of other religions are banned
Preaching to the non-Christians or attempting to convert any of the Muslims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Christian faith can and will be severely punished under the Sharia Law which is practiced and implemented in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In 2017, Reverend Patrick Henry Edet surprised many Nigerians when he announced his resignation from the Catholic Priesthood and subsequently quit the Catholic Church.

The Reverend who announced his resignation on the 31st of July 2017 had said “the resignation marked the beginning of freedom for his spirit and soul”. He made the announcement through a private radio station in the capital city of Akwa Ibom State.

Rev. Fr. Patrick Henry Edet, has resigned from the catholic priesthood. He made the disclosure, today, during a live Radio Program on a private Radio Station, Planet FM in Uyo.



Reverend Patrick Henry Edet who hailed from Akwa-ibom State and was based in the capital city got married few months after he made the announcement of his resignation from the Catholic Priesthood.

Revrend Patrick Henry Edet as he had preferred to be called is now a presiding minister in the Grace Family aka Commonwealth of Champions which is also located in the capital city of Akwa Ibom state.


Rev Patrick Henry Edet also made the headline when he announced that he and his wife, Iyene Patrick Edet had welcomed a baby girl two years after his resignation from priesthood.

Reverend Patrick Henry Edet had to quit to avoid breaking the laws and rules guiding the doctrines of the Catholic Priesthood, he might have made the right choice and he’s doing quite well for himself recently.

There are many cases of church hijacking in the Christiandom. There was case of a Mountain of Fire Ministries Pastor in United States of America in Maryland who hijacked and renamed the church and it properties. Also, this case of hijacking happened at the popular Winners Chapel Church in Ghana.


Moreover, a Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor tried to hijack a parish of of the church but he met his Waterloo in the process.

It was recorded that during the day of Pa Akindayomi who was the founder of the Redeemed Christians Church of God. A parish of the church in Osogbo entered crisis as a Pastor hijacked one of the churches in Osogbo to his own church. The matter went out if hand, all efforts to resolve it were fruitless as the errant pastor abused the man of God. Baba who went with Pastor Adeboye turned and returned to Lagos.


What followed the event surprised everyone. The next day, a messenger from Osogbo visited Pas Akindayomi to ask forgiveness on behalf of the errant pastor because immediately he left, the pastor was afflicted with leprosy.

Pa Akindayomi didn’t even pray about the matter because he believed God can defend himself. Baba told the pastor to go and meet God that he was not the one that made him leprous. Unfortunately, the Pastor died of the leper and the church remained RCCG parish till date.

Tonyekiri Biewari and his family visited Synagogue Church of All Nations to testify the goodness of God in their life.


According to Tonyekiri, it all started in 2011 when prophet TB Joshua appeared to him in his dream. In that dream, prophet TB Joshua Gave him three cubes of sugar and said to him, ” son, the Lord said you will never struggle in life.”

Tonyekiri did not understand the significance of the sugar TB Joshua gave him in that dream. When he woke up that morning, he narrated everything to his wife.

Policemen in Zimbabwe have apprehended a 29-year-old Prophetess from Gweru over an alleged sexual molestation of a female congregant.

Prophetess Juliet Masakanire who is said to be the founder of Pray Deliverance and Testimony Ministries International, was also accused of bribing the congregant with US$16 and making several EcoCash transactions to buy her silence.

The alleged sexual molestation victim alleged that the Prophetess sucked her breasts while putting her fingers in her private part on three different occasions. She also revealed that they stayed together and shared the same bed.


The victim said; “She used to give me money every time she abused me. She gave me US$10, US$6, R50 and transferred varying amounts to my account via EcoCash. She said I should do what she wanted if I entertained any thoughts of getting married.”

She further alleged that she surrendered her smart phone after being told to sow a seed to get a husband. Following Juliet’s arraignment in court, she pleaded not guilty to the charge and is currently out on $1 000 bail.

1.Dr Enenche


Dr. Enenche is the Senior Pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, which is located along the airport road, Abuja, at the Lords Garden headquarters. He comes from the state of Benue and is a qualified medical practitioner. On November 10, 1996, he founded the Dunamis International Gospel Center and the church is currently the largest ministry in FCT and one of the largest in the world. Dr. Enenche stated that in an audiotape entitled “Unleashing the Mystery of the Spiritual Realms,” he first learned of Bishop Oyedepo, and before he encountered him one by one, Oyedepo typically appeared to him in his nightly dreams, anointing him with oil.

He also disclosed that Bishop Oyedepo ordered him not to start the project until he had placed the building plan before him before the Dunamis auditorium was erected. And Bishop Oyedpo was on-hand to bless the project before the building was erected. Another study also said that Pastor Enenche was advised by Bishop Oyedepo to increase his initial proposal to expand the capacity of the Glory Dome project from 75,000 to 100,000.

2.Pastor David Ibiyeomie


Pastor David Ibiyeomie is the founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries with headquarter in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. After completing his Bible School education at the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) of Bishop David Oyedepo, Ibiyeomie started a house fellowship in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria with his kin. He later moved to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where, on April 13, 1997, he began Salvation Ministries (Glorious Chapel), attended by a little over twenty members.

In July 1997, in G.R.A. Phase 1, Port Harcourt, the church moved to a larger plot of land on Birabi Lane. The church is holding seven services today and is about building its church auditorium, which will be the world’s largest. Initially, the Salvation Ministries Church project, which started in 2010, was planned to hold 40,000 worshipers. However, with the massive expansion of the Church that led to the opening of more than 50 satellite churches in Port Harcourt, including the opening of 13 on a single day in 2016, coupled with the prodding of Bishop David Oyedepo to do ‘better than his father’ by David Ibiyeomie’s father in the Lord, Ibiyeomie was encouraged to expand the building’s capacity.

Previous estimates of the church project had the expansion at 100,000 capacity, but it is officially expected to become the largest church auditorium in the world with plans to expand to around 120,000 and the metal roofing covering an area of 50,000m2, which is more than double the span of the Glory Dome of Dunamis ‘at 22,148m2.

3.Pastor Sam Adeyemi


One Saturday morning, Pastor Sam Adeyemi dreamed of seeing Bishop Oyedepo and his wife planting a tree in a new position in the church, and he saw a huge crowd rushing to that spot. He realized when he woke up that it was a vision from Heaven. That was the genesis of Pastor Sam Adeyemi ‘s friendship with Bishop Oyedepo, his mentor. But despite this encounter, in the first three years of Daystar, growth was sluggish. That prompted him to go and see Bishop David Oyedepo, his “father.” He said to him, ‘What do you do after everything you know has been tried and the church has failed to grow? ‘Bishop Oyedepo said,’ Look, growth is seasonal,’ and he quoted Galatians 6:9, which says let us not get tired of doing well because, if we don’t faint, we will reap in due season.

Today, on Ikosi Road, Lagos, Daystar Christian Centre sits on the top of a hectare of land. Within a short time, with over 25,000 members, the ministry had begun five services , making it one of the most attended churches in Lagos State on Sundays. The relationship between the father and son has grown in leaps and bounds with the bishop publicly referring to Pastor Adeyemi as one of his favorite sons in ministry .Pastor Adeyemi too has become a frequent keynote speaker at the Covenant University Special Programmes on Character Growth and National Transformation

Teachers in China who mention God or religion risk employment termination as communist authorities increasingly control education materials and expand their list of banned topics teachers are not allowed to discuss in classrooms.

According to Bitter Winter, a publication produced by the Center for Studies on New Religion which reports on human rights issues in China, the Chinese Communist Party is strictly monitoring what teachers say in schools and universities.

Teachers are observed in their classrooms by authorities who watch for “reactionary thoughts” or “improper remarks,” ensuring students are not taught about democracy, religion, or exposed to any criticism of the regime. Schools in China are government-controlled, and therefore communist in ideology.

“The government believes that religious teachers are hostile to the [Communist] Party, even if they don’t evangelize,” an English teacher from the eastern province of Shandong, said. “The CCP is afraid that they would integrate faith into teaching. That’s why they strictly control teachers and want them to follow its ideological system and eventually become puppets that cannot think independently.”

A college teacher in Inner Mongolia told Bitter Winter that last year, a central government inspection team came to the school to investigate teachers’ ideological standing in regard to pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.

Teachers who responded by espousing “improper remarks” were punished.

“We were observed during every class,” the teacher said, adding that the Chinese Ministry of Education demanded teachers “not say or do anything against the party line in their educational or teaching activities.”

Another English teacher from Shandong told Bitter Winter that the provincial Education Bureau criticized her for mentioning “God” and “prayer” during a class on Jane Eyre, while another was criticized for mentioning mealtime prayers while discussing dining traditions in various countries.

China’s Education Bureau also released a proposal to each school that establishes an “ideological control team” in an attempt to ensure teachers don’t influence their classrooms with religious or ideological differences.

Censorship and control measures have increased in intensity since 2013, when President Xi Jinping took office, according to Bitter Winter. Since the Regulations on Religious Affairs legislation was implemented last year, schools have adopted “unprecedented measures” to keep students away from Christianity.

– She was delivered of her baby by the ambulance team of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.

A 35-year-old homeless woman has been delivered of a baby boy by the ambulance team of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

The disclosure was made on Saturday evening, September 19, by the DG/CEO of the agency, Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu.

The Cable reports that Oke-Osanyintolu said the baby was delivered at about 4:30 pm under the Ajah bridge.

ChurchNG gathers that the woman, who was identified as Blessing Emmanuel, is from Rivers state.

The woman, who is said to be from Cross River state, has no home or family in Lagos.

2. Pastor Lazarus Muoka

Lazarus Muoka is the founder of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Renewal Movement. After his primary and secondary education, Muoka did not proceed to get a university degree.


3. Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufenyin

Jeremiah Omoto Fufenyi was born in Warri in the year 1972.

He attended Ziokumor Primary School in Delta state and had his secondary education at Gbasa Grammar School, Ojobo. But he was limited by financial problems and so could not go further to get a university degree.


4. Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere

Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere was born in the year 1973 in Abia state. He is the founder of Omega Power Ministry in Port Harcourt. He attended Seabird Nursery School in Port Harcourt and had his primary education at the army children school in Port Harcourt. But he did not further his education.


5. Prophet Odumeje

Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere also known as Odumeje is the founder of Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry World Miracle Center, which is based in Onitsha. He was born in Imo State and is the 3rd of six children. He had his primary education at Nweje in Anambra state and attended Providence secondary school. However, as a result of financial impediment, he could not further his education.


They are not the only celebrated people who do not have a university degree, as there are actors, musicians, businessmen and many other rich and successful people who didn’t have university degrees. This goes to show that lack of formal education won’t limit your success if you’re truly determined.

A US based Ghanaian Pastor identified as Sylvester Ofori has shot his wife Barbara Tommey dead. The said incident took place outside the 27-year-old woman’s workplace at the Navy Federal Credit Union near the Mall at Millenia in Orlando on Tuesday 8th September 2020 morning.

Barbara was shot by Sylvester, near the business’ front doors on the 4600 block of Gardens Park Boulevard just before 9 a.m., an Orlando Police Department spokesperson said.

Daddy Freeze has reacted to Bishop Oyedepo’s post on social media where he opined that the only way to a fruitful marriage is total submission on the part of the wife.

The clergyman had earlier shared his opinion on marriage via a post on Instagram that read ;

“The only way to a fruitful marriage is total submission on the part of the wife. Until it is in place, every other thing she tries to do will be out of place. A woman who refuses to submit to her husband is disobeying God. As a woman, you might even be a minister of the gospel, and your husband is not, the Word of God still says to submit yourself to him.”
Which he backed up a biblical verse: “A submissive woman is precious in the sight of her husband – Ephesians 5:22.”
