EMILO2STAY: So what forces are keeping the plasma ball together? How come the balls keep going around a circular path or orbit? What force is driving it around? So whatever flies in the sky according to you is lighter than air except planes and birds I pointed out? I'll love to hear all your assumptions. Is it just aerodynamics of the air to the wings that makes it airborne? And is smoke really lighter than air? |

EMILO2STAY: Then you haven't. I also know what I am talking about. However, a straight line in a 2-dimensional map (which is a flattened earth map) is not the same as a straight line on a 3-DIMENSIONAL GLOBE(which is a globular earth map). by being 3-DIMENSIONAL it takes into account the X, Y and Z axis which represents the CARDINAL POINTS and earth's GLOBULAR CURVATURE. This is why flight paths take an arc route between an origin and a destination (on a 2-dimensional map that route seem curved because it has no Z axis but on a 3 dimensional map which is a globular earth map it is straight.) The takeaway is this: A route that looks longer on the map is because of the distortion created with map projections like the Mercator projection. In navigation, pilots often use great circles (geodesic) as the shortest distance flight which is reflected on the globular earth map. 1 Like 1 Share

EMILO2STAY: Draw those same distance on a GLOBULAR EARTH and see if it doesn't make sense? It does! You using a FLATTENED globular earth map to draw distance which is totally wrong. On that FLATTENED globular earth map, it means if someone wanted to fly from ASIA to AMERICA, he would have to fly through EUROPE or AFRICA which is totally wrong. On an ACTUALLY GLOBULAR EARTH MODEL, they would simply fly through the PACIFIC OCEAN to America. That flattened map is not to be used for measuring distance between two point but rather the globular earth model. |

EMILO2STAY: To escape from earth's gravity a plane or any object would need to fly directly upwards like a rocket would into the sky at 11.2 km/s. This is because on the surface of the Earth, the escape velocity is about 11.2 km/s, which is approximately 33 times the speed of sound (Mach 33) and several times the muzzle velocity of a rifle bullet (up to 1.7 km/s). An aeroplane doesn't travel directly upwards like a rocket but side ways (with side ways take off and flight) and it doesn't even come close to breaking the speed of the sound barrier not even once or up to 33 times which is necessary to get enough speed to escape the earth. When you fly an airplane you are still being pulled by the center of the earth towards it and that is why the plane doesn't fly off the earth or needs an adjustment in cruising altitude. To remind you you are still under the earth's pull simple turn off the engines of the airplane and watch it come crashing down to earth again. Also because the earth has a long circumference (at the equator earth's circumference is about 24,901 miles (40,075 km). However, from pole-to-pole — the meridional circumference — Earth is about 24,860 miles (40,008 km) around) the curvature of the earth is gradual because of how big it is and as long as the center of the earth keeps pulling on the aircraft which makes it not to escape into space, these two factors makes it not so apparent to those inside to feel the curvature. its like driving in a road that slowly curves to the left maybe at a total bend distance of 3,000 meters. A passenger at the back of the car if he doesn't look at the road won't even notice that the car is slowly turning to the right because it is not a SHARP TURN. |

EMILO2STAY: 1. "any object which is heavier than air and which is unsupported, has a natural tendency to fall y its own weight"- according to you. Airplanes are heavier than air, birds are heavier than air etc... What supports their weight, still the same AIR. How is that possible? 2. "the answer is simple because the smoke is lighter than the air, and therefore, does not fall but ascends"- according to you. It is the same reason that airplanes and birds which are much heavier than air can be supported by it that makes smoke rise through the atmosphere and not because they are light as you claim. (remember smoke contains bigger particles than air and they still rise together up into the sky) If you still don't believe that air can support their masses then how will you explain how the SUN and the MOON are suspended in the EARTH'S atmosphere, simply just floating. They must be tons heavier than air. I know you don't believe in GRAVITY, but how come they keep going around the earth every day? |
Religion / Re: The Earth Is Flat And Not A Globe Part 2 by onlyfacts: 12:13am On Aug 28, 2020 |
EMILO2STAY: 1. Imagine a boy had a ball attached to a string and held in one hand. At rest the ball will be dangling side to side at his feet (that is with him). Now if he gives himself a good continuous spin at a particular speed while extending his hands, what happens to the ball attached to the string? It spins around him, as long as the the STRING is strong enough to support the weight of the BALL and your SPIN, the ball won't fly away from him but FALL AROUND HIM CONSTANTLY ( and not INTO HIM) FOLLOWING A CIRCULAR PATH. As long as he maintains that constant SPEED too (and not SLOW DOWN), it's circular path can continue forever. So two basically 2 things at LEAST keeps an object moving round a circular path. One is a FORCE that attracts it to a center point... Which for the ball is a string and for Earth is Sun's gravitational tug. Two the speed at which an object is moving around a center point... Which for the ball is the spin generated by the boy and transferred to the ball and for Earth the spin around it's axis or path around the Sun. 2. The Earth can be in motion and you won't feel it as long as its motion is relative to you. To explain, imagine a standing boy inside a moving bus that is insulated against noise and which has no windows to see outside and its interior completely empty of seats. The bus can be moving as fast as 100km/hr while the boy is inside the bus without feeling any relative motion. The boy can jump, play and run inside the bus safely without knowing the bus was moving at all but on the condition the driver of the bus maintains the bus speed at exactly 100km/hr and doesn't slow down for whatever reason. The driver must also not change directions too. The road has to be smooth and perfect without any pot holes for it to work. All those outside the bus can tell it is moving because its relative motion is against them. This applies to the earth too. As long as you remain in the earth and it's atmosphere (that is earth's space) you won't directly experience earth's movement. You have to leave earth completely and it's space to observe earth's rotation against you. 3. The earth is not a perfectly rounded ball but a sphere as such earth's gravitational pull cannot be uniform across the earth's surface. The equators are farther away from the center of the earth than at the poles and as such experience less gravitational pull by the earth. In combination, the equatorial bulge and the effects of the surface centrifugal force due to rotation mean that sea-level gravity increases from about 9.780 m/s2 at the Equator to about 9.832 m/s2 at the poles, so an object will weigh approximately 0.5% more at the poles than at the Equator. That gravitational pull won't crush a human, which is why people can survive at the poles. |

EMILO2STAY: Let's play a game of questions and answers, I'll like us to learn one or two things from each other. Now let's assume you are correct with the FLAT EARTH CONCEPT, I'll like you to help me explain these few things I can't make sense of with the FLAT EARTH MODEL, so let's go into it. 1A. In the earth's atmosphere which is farther away, the SUN or the MOON? 1B. Based on 1A, how will you explain the LUNAR ECLIPSE with the FLAT EARTH MODEL? 2A. Explain the concept of A LEAP YEAR using the FLAT EARTH MODEL. 2B. Why does A LEAP YEAR occur at all in the first place using the FLAT EARTH MODEL? 3A. Explain using the FLAT EARTH MODEL the occurrence of SEASONS (WINTER, SPRING, SUMMER and AUTUMN) 3B. Explain with the FLAT EARTH MODEL how we have TROPIC and TEMPERATE REGIONS. Let's start with this concepts first. Please kindly explain them using the FLAT EARTH MODEL. i'll like to learn a thing or two from you. Regards and Best of luck. |

thesicilian: Many people just comment waaaaaa without first understanding. These aircrafts are being retired early because it is not economically profitable to fly these jumbo jets anymore. Airline companies are migrating to more fuel efficient aircraft's which saves money on fuel and those are twin engine aircrafts and not 4 engine aircrafts. This jumbo jets have seating capacity of 400 to 500 seats. To be economically profitable it means any time the plane flies it has to sell out all its seats to passengers (or minimum of 80%) which is impossible and that reduces the profit made unlike twin engine aircraft's that have seating capacity of 80-200 which are easier to fill. The cost of maintenance is also higher for 4 aircraft's engines than twin engines which increases their overhead cost. The number of aircraft crews are more for 4 aircraft engines than twin engine aircrafts which adds more personnel cost. 4 aircraft engines cannot also land on airports with short runways, so it is best suited for standard international airports and not a local airport etc. So based on the above it doesn't make economic sense for Nigerian airlines to buy and operate these jumbo 4 engines aircraft in Nigeria as they will make more money on twin engine aircraft which are smaller and more efficient, even if they can afford it. 4 Likes |

NkemChukwudi: 1. I agree with you with your point 1. You mentioned Lagos State which has a population of about 20 million people and that was why I objected. 2. What are government doing about insecurities in the north, farmers are no longer in farms. What are doing about artificial irrigation during the dry season, or storage facilities etc. Are their policies for export friendly to Nigerian farmers. 3. Go to the markets and check if no foods, there are but the problem is how much can you afford to buy? So high cost of foods is the major problem due to inflation 4. High cost of governance is a problem in Nigeria. The government is subsidizing a lot of sectors. Education, petroleum, health, can they still subsidize the agricultural sector? Maybe if they generated more revenue from other sectors. 5. Devaluation affects everything. Locally or International. A farmer will buy car, build house and send kids to school. If his job can't give him those things because of its low profit then it's not worth it. 6. That's the price for industrialization. It applies every where in the world. 7. For it to be sustainable market forces like demand and supply has to be at equilibrium. Government subsidizing the economy won't make it self sustaining. 8. I agree with this. |
Business / Re: Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Rises To 12.82% In July, As Food Prices Surge by onlyfacts: 6:47pm On Aug 17, 2020 |
NkemChukwudi: I have read your statement about Nigerians going to the farm. Mind you Nigeria has a lot of sectors from finance, telecommunications, power, education, petroleum, health etc while the agricultural sector is just one of the many. Everyone in Nigeria cannot be farmers, in fact the majority of the population cannot be farmers, not even 50 percent of Nigeria's population can be farmers because all other sectors must be engaged for the proper workings of things. Another reason is that excess food production is a problem. Demand and supply tells you that the more a product like orange for example is readily available the cheaper it becomes. That's good for the citizens but bad for farmers in general as farming will no longer be profitable, this is because they will need to produce and sell so many oranges to make a decent return! So following economics, the more supply is available demand will drop, which translate to less profit for farmers. To off set excess agricultural produce export of the oranges will be needed to realize profit. In their raw form agricultural goods quickly perish, so they have to be processed first or transported in cold fridge adding more cost to the low end goods. And in a case where the global supply chain for goods is broken like as we have with covid19 it means all those goods will never be transported but perish, which is lost revenue for farmers. So optimal production of agricultural produce is the point and not excess which will happen if 20 million (which is the population of Lagos) or more people go into commercial farming which will in turn reduce the profit yield they get unless through export. But under-production of agricultural goods is also a problem. These are partly do to insecurities in the northern regions where agricultural goods are produced, bad government policies that doesn't encourage investment into the agricultural sector, lack of arable farm lands for agriculture in the north, lack of proper artificial irrigation in dry season, high cost of fertilizers, inadequate storage facilities, lack of proper transport of agricultural goods to preserve their freshness etc. In Nigeria we have optimal production of agricultural goods in most cases, except for maybe a few like rice production. The major problem with our agricultural produce in Nigeria is the devaluation of the naira. As such even with abundant food it doesn't get to our tables. With the devaluation of the naira, this causes reduced power of purchase, which makes these agricultural goods unaffordable to most Nigerians. |
Business / Re: Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Rises To 12.82% In July, As Food Prices Surge by onlyfacts: 4:37pm On Aug 17, 2020 |
As much as bad leadership under the military, PDP and now the APC has had an impact in the slow growth of the Nigerian economy, the global interruption of the SUPPLY CHAIN for goods and services is also to Blame for this. Famine has long been projected to occur in many African countries due to the pandemic and even worse amongst Africa's poorest countries which Nigeria is a part of. This is because farmers either couldn't farm during the lock down, couldn't distribute their produce around their country/export them during the lock down, etc and these led to lost time in the planting season and a lot of waste of farm produce which could not be sold (many farm produce are quickly perishable and the cost of storing them would only inflate it's prices beyond market value.) So the lesson is this, the global recession is just about starting, use your available resources for essential things. Those the coronavirus didn't get, the recession is out to get them. May it not be any of us. 2 Likes |

Omooba77: Op I am not impressed with this your post. Do you know the origin of river Niger? It originates or starts from GUINEA, passes through MALI, NIGER, BENIN REPUBLIC before entering NIGERIA. We are the last bus stop for the river, hope you know the implications of that? We are able to have light because of the kanji dam we built along that river. Guinea, Mali, Niger and Benin Republic can also build dams along the Niger river that passes their countries but if they do, the kanji dam won't have enough water in its dam to generate hydroelectricity. So to prevent these countries from damming the Niger river in their countries, Nigeria must distribute a portion of its kanji dam electricity to them, which they in turn will pay for. These your post in misleading to people who don't understand this. |

"I Haven't Received Injection In 51 Years, I Can NEVER Take ANY Vaccine"- OYEDEPO At least you have admitted he did. That is my point for posting on this trend. But let me digress a bit below. He could have said Covid19 vaccine but he did not. Is it hard to say? As usual you must always try to clarify what a pastor said when what he said is clear and obvious for all to read. I am not waiting for miracles mind you, I was only showing you how miracles, genuine miracles performed in the bible works and not what we have now. |

WINNERSMOG: I have my own questions for you too, has your GO not taken yellow fever vaccine? It is mandatory by international law and I know he travels abroad frequently, so how is it possible? Have you not also be vaccinated, did it make you less Christian, or have you died? To your question. To receive healing is not based ONLY on your faith. If you believe good, if you dont believe, good too. Healing and miracles are a demonstration of GOD'S POWER primarily. Your faith in God's power is secondary. If you say Gods power is based on our manifesting faith alone, it is to say God's power is a thing of our minds alone, like a PLACEBO EFFECT. That is if I think in my mind that I am well I become well. Google search the PLACEBO EFFECT. All through the bible whether God's enemies choose to have faith in his power or not he has demonstrated it. He did it to pharaoh in Egypt, he did against Baal worshipers, he did it to the pharisees etc. Healing and miracles function in people with and without faith (it is fake pastors that are deceiving you that it is ONLY your faith that can heal you), it is left to God and his prophet to decide who to heal at anytime. Believing in God Grant's you are relationship with him and is much more than healing. |

The priests are only LEVITES or from the TRIBE OF LEVI, the pharisees and sadducees come from different tribes of Israel. So when they tried to hide the facts that christ had risen as a group with the Roman soldiers and the good for nothing men they paid to lie that the disciples stole his body at night, they believed too then? Donr confuse a group of pharisees following jesus and a few who actually did. And to further prove to you that majority did not believe, Christianity is not the major religion in Israel today. It doesn't even make up 3% of religious people in Israel. But Judaism is their major RELIGION with about 40% fellowership of the population. The number of converts on Pentecost were just a few thousands compared to the millions of Israelites who didn't follow jesus. |

WINNERSMOG: Can you listen to yourself first? I said listening does not equate to believing. They are two different things. To believe you need to put faith in the things heard. So believing calls for faith and while just listening does not. That is why I told you FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD but you still didn't comprehend! if the Pharisees or that man truly believed in Jesus as you claimed, their FAITH in him would have manifested by their WORKS, namely they will believe he is the SON OF GOD and would not have ARRESTED and KILLED HIM. That man malchus did not believe in Jesus as THE PROMISED MESSIAH, if he did he wouldn't have had a hand in his arrest. Neither did the Pharisees believe, if they did AFTER THEY HEARD OF JESUS RESURRECTION they should have repented and become Christians rather they PAID MEN TO HIDE THIS FACT AND CONTINUED IN THEIR WAYS. understand English and bible my friend. |

WINNERSMOG: All you wrote up are assumptions. I deal in the facts and I have shown you facts that he never had faith in Jesus. Even the Bible says it that faith without works is dead. If the man ever listened to Jesus that does not equate to believing in Jesus. The Pharisees and sadducess listened to Jesus preach but never believed he was the son of God up to the point they killed him. They listened but did not believe, as such they did not have faith. The same applies to that man. You need to understand the Bible my friend. |
