Sam_Ikenna: Nwanne, the people there are not Yorubas or SW, I didnt put it right - people = Easterners. Now we're clear.hehehe! Sam_Ikenna is calling ndu_chucks "nwanne". If you can survive with a puff adder or a molting cobra INSIDE YOUR COAT, then you will survive a brotherhood with ndu_chucks. Nna Sam, I hope the bolded is not meant literally, else you would need the help of a professional snake catcher. ![]() |
ndu_chucks: lol, Eze OnlyI can state unequivocally that YOU CANNOT SPEAK OR WRITE IGBO. ![]() Every Igbo word you have ever typed on Nairaland, has been written for you by that Igbo goat attached to you (won't say more for now). But tell him/her that the spirit of dead Igbo will pay his/her family a visit soon. All the families that I know that sabotaged Igbo cause in Nigeria never endured. They were deleted by the spirits of dead Igbo. I don't say things I don't know. ![]() |
noiseless: No worries Eze, and what a good job you are doing in this thread, i'm so impressed with your sense of focus even when they (the usual suspects) did tried everything to distract you as they know it's not something we want but something we really need,so well done. In my first post before i made a comment about the "abagworo fellow", i asked why must the "landlock igboland" have an international airport when it gives some people some sort of orgasm to tell the igbos to their faces that the only way for the igbos to have contact with the outside world, will only depend on their permitions through the use of their seaports or airports outside igboland, and under whatever conditions they put down for the igbos and no room for negociations, so this source of orgasm is what they can't afford to lose you know my dear. But my anger is really towards those political fools who parade themselves as "leaders/governors/senators and all" in igboland. My brother that is the spirit! We the youths of Igboland must rise up and challenge the thieves representing us at the federal government, and our visionless governors. Believe it or not, this is the BEST TIME to get all these because of our people in government. If we keep quiet, they would assume that we are not watching, and will largely sit on their @sses and do nothing. Anyim Pius Anyim should be active on things like this. Same with Aviation minister. GEJ can designate these airports if we bring it to his attention. So, please support this agitation anyway you can. Nobody will do this if we don't. ![]() |
ndu_chucks: You can show your low class by insulting a whole tribe because of Ndu_Chucks. This will not change the accuracy of my depiction of your well being. The joke's on you, learn torespect people whose opinions differ from yours - O bu ndi a maghi ihe na-echefu ome n’ala ndi nna ha.The joke is lost on you because you don't have a clean heart. From the first page of this thread, people from other zones have called us names here and we largely ignored them. Now that I threw one punch back, you have turned into a reverend. Nwokem clear for road! ![]() BTW tell that Igbo eediot telling you what to type here that his lineage will be wiped off by the spirits of dead Igbo whom he is constantly sabotaging! ![]() WE NEED OUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS, and WE WILL GET THEM. ![]() |
ndu_chucks: It is important to biatch slap Onlyndu_chucks, you are getting more and more cowardly these days. Are you sure you are not really an Yoruba afterall. hehehe! ![]() |
There are a lot of African countries which Igbo business men dominate. All it takes to dominate an area is the businesses, not necessarily the numbers. 5 million Jews in America also dominate a lot of things in America, yet they are only 5 million. Folks should dissociate dominance from numbers. The Fulani dominate Nigeria's political powerplay, yet they are probably among the smallest groups in Nigeria. Anyway, back to topic! ![]() |
Dede1: Based on my personal experience, there are good numbers of Igbo people in Cameroon. A Cameroonian friend once told me that if Ndigbo would live Cameroon today, the economy of the country will go south. He added that all the markets from Kumba to Yaounde are controlled by Ndigbo. It is not true the Cameroonians can not tell Igbo from Efik, Ijo or Ibibio. Most Cameroonians would stretch to any corner to have an Igbo woman for a wife.Let me not even go into more of this; let me just ask you one question: In your opinion, are there 4 million Ndigbo in Cameroun? |
debosky: So you're such a poorly informed rabble rouser that you don't know happenings in your own region? So, in your demented opinion, COMMUNITY project funded by everybody and publicly owned, is now a PRIVATE INVESTMENT? Who is comparing? Aren't you the one that DAFTLY claimed that international business locations are correlated with international airports? The lack of international businesses in Sokoto means your earlier assertion is nothing but utter rubbish, much like the rubbish you regularly spew on here.Dude what are you smoking please? Are you a Nigerian? Do you know how much political power and influence over the federal government of Nigeria with has been enjoyed by Sokoto, and for how long? Do you even know that Owerri would pull a higher number of fliers even LOCALLY (than Sokoto), yet the Federal government did not build the airport at Owerri. Did you even finish secondary school? I think I should throw you into the illiterate bunch I ignore on Nairaland. ![]() |
chima12: I think onitsha/nnewi people and business community should take the bull by the horns and start building the airport, its unfortunate they have a semi-useless and uninspiring/uninspirational/uninventive man as governor in anambra.if I could remember correctly,Imo state is moving in that direction of having owerri airport being made an international airport. My brother we can't wait for 2014 for Peter Obi's departure. He has done his best, but we need BOLD, AMBITIOUS and even MILITANT governor for Anambra state that would give us an international airport at Onitsha. It will happen because Onitsha deserves it more than at least two other international airports in Nigeria already. I am very hopeful that Gov Rochas Okorocha would run the last leg of the Imo airport and bring it to FULL international status! I also pray for an ambitious action governor for Enugu state. Our future is only as big as our vision. ![]() |
noiseless: This "abagworo" fellow whats his problem by the way, there are 4 million igbos in cmeroon? why must you always cook up lies like alhj harem? this is really shameful. This "abagworo" fellow whats his problem by the way, there are 4 million igbos in cmeroon? why must you always cook up lies like alhj harem? this is really shameful. My brother just ignore abagworo's claim. I have lived in Cameroun (Duala, Yaounde and Baffousam), those guys don't know the difference between Igbo and any other tribe without tribal marks, especially if you are from Eastern Nigeria. They simply call you Biafran and end it there. Let's focus on the topic because I see jealous losers sneaking around here. ![]() |
@alj_Harem, I also want to emphasize that there MUST BE AN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AT ONITSHA no matter what happens, because it is the most economically strategic town in the SE lacking a short distance access to an international airport. Aba has PH for now. So, Onitsha should have an international airport because it would support the emerging economic boom in Anambra state. |
alj harem: Which means One would do the job rather than 3 as you initially suggested ?We will reach that conclusion AFTER THE ONE HAS BEEN OPERATION FOR AT LEAST ONE YEAR. For now, you cannot make that conclusion. |
alj harem: LOLI'm very serious about it, If he insists, I would invite the demon to face the demon in him. So, for now, I would ignore him. Jealousy is really a dangerous thing for the soul. It must REALLY suck to be from Ekiti state. |
alj harem: Keep you down ?? far from it, by all mean If the east want to do it, they can but I am also looking for the most viable plan if their is one at all.@First bolded: Yes, that is why I don't want the federal government to fund ours either. We should find the funds ourselves. The FG only needs to designate them. We will do the rest! ![]() @Second bolded: An international airport at Onitsha will even impact as far as Abakaliki and Makurdi. Yes that far! ![]() One at Enugu also would do the job better for those parts though. ![]() |
ekt_bear: Who the fvck are you to tell me what to do? Mind your damn business. I can discuss whatever the hell I like in this thread. My friend leave this thread. I won't curse you out today because the spirit of God is in me today. Just leave. Don't push your luck further. ![]() |
ekt_bear: Hell.My friend drop this idiocy. If you and abagworo want to peddle lies, open a thread. Stop polluting this thread with irrelevant information. |
alj harem: Onlytruth, yes an International airport would make the boom to happen. What is even better is an effective transport system and local industries. Watch how people would migrate to that area. The only relevant point in your post are the bolded words. What is good for Lagos is good for Onitsha. Shikena Modern transportation system would only be possible if we have INTERNATIONAL interaction that can bring in the needed expertise and investments to make it happen. Those infrastructure can only come to support existing businesses! Nobody builds world class roads for traders in shops; but they would build it for an Apple Computer, Dell, Samsung, Sony, Hewlett Parkard, factory etc; or an African Disney land, or a world class hospital or University, or even an international trade fair complex. These are big job and skills guzzlers, and would employ our graduates. Stop trying to keep us down. It won't work! ![]() |
Abagworo: I didn't say 100 percent. Camerounians said they(the Nigerians) are mostly Igbo. Why don't you believe it?Does an average Camerounian know the difference between Igbo and say Ijaw, or Ibibio or Efik, or even any other tribe in Nigeria that don't have tribal marks? This your assertion is nothing but a red herring. Just drop it 'cos it ain't true. |
alj harem: you are funny you know ?Well, let us agree to disagree then. The influence of an international airport at Onitsha alone would create MASSIVE economic BOOM in Anambra,IMO and Delta states. Just like Lagos airport created a boom reaching Abeokuta and Ibadan; and Kano international airport created a boom reaching Kaduna. Port Harcourt would have done the same for Imo and Abia if not for the Nigerian civil war politics and the abandoned property saga. So, we need our International airports. ![]() |
Abagworo: Some 3,000 boundary pillars are being planted alongThe bolded only identified NIGERIANS who started arriving as FISHERMEN, TRADERS AND ADMINISTRATORS. How many Igbo do you know that are fishermen? I know that Igbo are more of traders, but not fishermen and administrators. These sound like Ijaw and Efik/Ibibio groups. Most of these groups are simply called "le Biafrain" in Cameroun (read Biafran- Igbo). They are wrong of course that they are all Igbo. ![]() |
^ I Personally don't think that Igbo in Cameroun are more than 500,000. And I'm being generous with that figure. In any case, it has nothing to do with this thread. You and Abagworo can open a different thread to explore that claim further. |
Abagworo: After Lagos, it is the Southeast. I think the density issue has to do with small land mass. Lagos is the smallest State in Nigeria while Southeast is the smallest zone. As per migrating out, that we must do because our land is too small to contain all of us. Imagine Cameroun alone having 4million Igbos. You defeated your point by stating that people are migrating out of SE zone because of small land mass, which BTW I know is FALSE, and then you throw in this your absurd claim that Igbo make up 20% of Cameroun. Dude use google to view the SE and see. Our zone is still very sparsely settled and developed. Even Anambra state is very undeveloped! ![]() You missed the point I raised about Lagos. With the undisputed highest density of Lagos, I am yet to see a Lagosian migrating out of the state because of "small land mass". Infact people are still migrating TOWARDS Lagos. People are leaving the SE because THERE ARE NO ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES THERE TO SUPPORT THEIR DREAMS. The chief reason for that is lack of international gateway. |
Abagworo: For those who do not know, I want to make it clear that Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri was not built by Government but by the communal effort of Imo and Abia people. My Father and Grandfather contributed a lot to that Airport. You would be suprised that a lot of Nigerians don't know the bolded information. That airport is a model of what can be achieved when people are determined to get what they want. It is actually the spirit behind this proposal here. I have studied Nigeria long enough to realize that certain things can never happen unless unconventional strategies are executed. I want Ndigbo to grow a 21st century economy in the SE of Nigeria. If we do that, we will occupy our rightful position in the scheme of things in Nigeria. We can never occupy that position if we keep aiming low and migrating out of our zones. Lagos is the most dense part of Nigeria, yet people are still migrating there. If we anchor an economic boom in SE, it would be the engine to drag the entire Eastern region along. The future will not be decided by oil prices. It will be decided by production and exports. |
Nigerians are very funny. lol Part of me wishes that NOI does not get this job, at least to allow some Nigerians to sleep well at night. Another part of me wants her to get the job, even if to keep those Nigerians awake at night as well! hehehe! On a serious note, I am totally indifferent. ![]() |
debosky: Isn't that why no private investor has built an airport in the SE?I almost ignored your post because honestly it sounded so dumb. How can a private investor build an INTERNATIONAL airport in SE, when the federal government has not approve it? I can tell you now that no private investor would build a LOCAL airport in Enugu or SE. Most of you just jump into the thread without reading comments from the beginning. @Second bolded: I hope you are not comparing Sokoto with Onitsha in business. Even Enugu would pull more INTERNATIONAL travellers than Sokoto anyday. So, go back to the first page and start reading. It is easier than going back to school. ![]() |
Ikology: I think in all honesty we should start pushing our leaders very hard for them to wake up to their responsibilities, our governors and representatives in the National assembly, have refused to put the interest of the region first before any other interest. Yes we were merely given only one International Airport in Enugu, Yet upgrading of the said Airport is still being toyed with. The immediate past minister of aviation is from Enugu state( Mrs Fidelia Njeze), while the current minister Stella Oduah is from Anambra state, and we also have Senator Hope Uzodinma ( rep. Imo east)as senate committee chairman on aviation. Our people are manning key positions yet nothing to show for it. I think we are missing the Ikaba boys! *smh*Nwanne m, where can I see you so that I can order and deliver to you a VERY FRESH palm wine, straight from the top of the palm tree without the container touching the ground, even for one second! You are BY FAR the most intelligent commentor on this thread so far, IMHO. I see some of our brothers talking nonsense here: "oh but we need ONE internationa airport". None of them was able to think and ask the questions you just asked! Some even started to see it from regional or state perspective, and in the process, they completely missed the point that we don't even have ONE, and may NEVER have that one, because we've been only asking for that ONE. Now that I have come up with an idea that would at least force the powers that be to remove the obstacle in our path of progress, you still see them blabbing about all the things we never had since independence! As if they would happen tomorrow. Meanwhile, people are dying on the roads between SE and Lagos almost constantly. I decided to push this thing because I have since reached the same conclusion you reached about Igbo government officials sleeping on their oars about our interests in Nigeria. God will punish all of them for playing with our interests and our lives! The fight is really for the educated youths of Igboland, and the aim is to give us our dues and support our aspirations in Nigeria; else we will push relentlessly until Nigeria is disintegrated to free us to pursue our dreams! Here I stand! ![]() |
shymmex: Afraid? Why should I be afraid?Hmm, so you are from Lagos. I see. Why do all posters from that side seem to quarrel with this project disproportionately? @Second bolded: the fact that all the airports in your corner of Nigeria are like advanced bus garages, does not mean that private funded ones in my corner of Nigeria would be like that. That you failed to raise your game in that corner of Nigeria does not mean that I must fail to raise mine in my own corner of Nigeria. The name of my state is "Light of the nation". It is for a reason that we say that. Now, if you have nothing positive to contribute here except spite, MOVE ON. ![]() |
shymmex: Nwanne, you need reality check.Ogbeni, what are you afraid of? |
emisun: airports are built and then suddenly, corruption disappeared.....standard of living got to where it shud be,steady power supply is achieved, good road network across the country, standard of education skyrockets, internal party democracy is deepened etc........guy, i don't see how airpots go carry microsoft inc, facebook inc, apple inco,GM motors, etc come naija.no airplane fit carry any of these companies come here, not even the airbus beluga A300 fit do that one. nwanne okwa eziokwu ka mmu n'ekwuIf you are interested at all in truth, you would also admit that all the bolded has NOT happened in Nigeria since 1960. Even the last 12 years of steady "democracy" in Nigeria has not produced them either. So, if I follow your thinking, then I must keep waiting for ever to have an infrastructure (privately funded) which can actually help in the process of achieving those. No aeroplane is big enough to carry even ordinary international class fast food franchise into Nigeria; but if ever such a company decides to go to Nigeria like some have done already, they would NOT locate in "villages" (read inaccessible corners of Nigeria). That is why you find them in certain Nigerian cities and not in others. You can actually map international class business locations in Nigeria with international airports. Some of you need to go back to school. Ana m ekwukwa eziokwu. ![]() |
@Aigbofa Now that you have confirmed that your bias against these airports has nothing to do with their viability, but rather about your fears of their impacts on Lagos airports, I hereby declare you a biased party, and your intellectual inputs (if any) on this thread is NULL AND VOID. You are what is called a malicious witness to facts (not that you presented any facts anyway, you have only been busy pulling the thread down out of wickedness, fear and hate). So, our campaign continues! ![]() |
Aigbofa: Which means I could be right then? You want three airports in the SE to counter MMA and the proposed Lekki international. Is that right? You see! That means you never gave the projects a thought on their own merit, but only out of a fear that they would deplete MMA and Lekki international! Go thorugh this thread, you would NEVER see where I reached that conclusion or made such an assertion. Why should I hang my survival on what happens to other zones in Nigeria? The whole idea behind this is that I'm tired of Ndigbo going through hell to leave or return to the country. That's all. For me, it is a battle for personal survival for Ndigbo. It is a battle for SELF RELIANCE. That is also why I stated that they must NOT be federally funded. So, why are you mentioning airports in your zone, when I'm only concerned about having airports in mine? ![]() |
Aigbofa: How did you get to that conclusion, I was only joking about the absurdity of his statement! Jeez!In Igboland, we say that REAL TRUTH is often embedded in jokes! ![]() |
