Abagworo: Amaechi has rights to contest against any one or align with any one. That is his rights as a citizen. I wonder what is wrong with Nigerians in the head. Amaechi is not pulling Jonathan down in any way. He is interested in the good of Nigeria and not against Jonathan.I would take the words of a Rivers person (Barcanista for example) over yours on issues of Rivers state. theoctopus also made a lot of sense in his comment. It is your head that needs to be examined. No offense nwanne. |
ndu_chucks: Why don't you and your group leave right now, since you are fed up? What is stopping you from declaring your country rightway? Would it be fear?Fear of what if I may ask.? As I write this, Scotland is gearing up for a vote on secession next year; so why should anyone fear for wanting to leave Nigeria? Wake up bro! This ain't 1967. If you and your brother Junaid Muhammed continue down this path, WE SHALL LEAVE YOU. ka geni? |
berem: I wonder why Jonathan is scared! Is there something he isn't telling us?I don't think he is scared of anything. He is just being a civilian president and a democrat. An OBJ would have sent Anenih since to whip those guys into line. Nigerians should learn to appreciate and enjoy this truly civilian president or they will get a military one like Buhari. Crying then would be too late. |
Zet72: He should bring on the war fast fast, who is afraid of war? ...smelly abokilol, whenever you see people threaten violence, they usually speak from position of weakness. The man is weak, and he knows it. The Nigeria civil war opened a lot of eyes, both within and outside Nigeria. This man will not live to tell the story if another war breaks out. lol |
pazienza: Edo state? Do people live there? Never knew people live there. Edo is not really south- south, Edo is a minority in south-south, you guys were used to complete south soouth. You should learn your place in the scheme of things. Do not drag akwa ibom and cross river into your folly, they are wiser than you lots are and are the real south southerners.I even think the guy is a SW man living in Edo. He sounds so shallow and bitter. Most Edo people I know aren't that virulent in their political views of the East. I personally believe that Edo is Mid west, not SS. This fact will show clearly after Oshiomole defects to PDP soon. lol |
plaindealer: You have zero credibility as exposed so this is kind of meaningless. You are free to play your tribal games, just keep your lies and deceptions to yourself...You haven't pointed a SINGLE lie in my comments. I don't know if you can't comprehend written English. Oh well, take heart bro. It ain't do or die. ![]() |
FreeGlobe: take my name out of your mouth unless you can explain to us how APGA the igbo party won a 1.7 million voter election with 180,000 ghost votes after your useless propaganda. APGA wouldn't even see 1000 votes in imo.You wanna bet? I'm in touch with MANY Imo political heavy weights and they are FUMING with rage over APC and Okorocha. Thread softly on this sis or else heart attack is known to happen to people like you. ![]() |
ndu_chucks: Your flip flopping shows that you are an unprincipled supporter of Ngige's back then and today. What you call gaffes includes Ngige's membership in APC. You and your leaders do not know much about forming winning alliances and that is your bane.I have always told Ndigbo here that alliances are good, EXCEPT the one that calls for our heads as sacrificial objects. WE SAY NO TO SUCH ALLIANCES. But then again, my point is moot since you are NOT Igbo. lol |
plaindealer: Your stance back in 2012 before the deportation saga was the red highlight. Are you willing to take that back and replace it with deportation in 2013? Pick one because you can not have it both ways.I don't know which is it. That some of you lack logical reasoning or just plain lazy to use your brains. As at September (or even October ) THIS YEAR, the members of Nzuko Ndigbo Online executive here (NNO) were yet to take a position on this election. I personally didn't take a position until they did, and we all decided to support APGA and Obiano. Obviously you are a Nairaland neophyte or half interested party. All those following us closely here know that it was not easy to back APGA in this election. Like I said, Ngige destroyed Ngige's chances by his MANY MANY gaffes. The deportation gaffe was the worst of them all. Now, that Ngige has lost, I hope he has learned the political lesson he needed to learn, which is that ALL POLITICS IS LOCAL. Take heart for your loss bro. ![]() |
plaindealer: https://www.nairaland.com/965680/governor-peter-obi-defend-goverment/2I spoke the truth then, and Ngige SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT with the deportation issue. He was already in the wrong party, but some of us (a whole lot of us) were still willing to stick with him, untill he committed the political hara kiri over the deportation issue. I say what I mean, and mean what I say. That is why I asked my sister Freeglobe whether he believed that Ngige could have won this election with all his self immolating gaffes, and the strategic picture stacked against him. A smart politician would have since left APC because it is a party of gang up and bad blood. ![]() |
Anambra Govt Orders The Arrest Of Beggars With Children, 29 Arrested So FarNgene-Ukwuenu, You deliberately ignored the blanket nature of the action. Did it spare Anambra CHILD HAWKERS? You Ngige supporters are getting funnier in your desperations. |
Afikpo, Ezzamgbo, Abakaliki, Ohaozara, make your choice. For me, Afikpo. ![]() |
Ngene-Ukwenu:Show me proof that he deported Ebonyi hawkers. If he cleared the roads of ALL hawkers (Anambrarian included) how is that discriminatory? |
truefact: Since you seemed to not to read the below statement, LET ME ASKED YOU ONE QUESTION.No, they want to rule others, always. They won't secede. This is part of why I personally would want to stay in Nigeria BUT make sure the North NEVER AGAIN rule Nigeria. The biggest pain to inflict on them is to ensure that they never rule. Ruling to them is like breathing. They asphyxiate when they aren't ruling others. |
Orlando Owoh: Your understanding of politics is shallow, archaic and primitive. Come out of your cocoon.Your mourning changes nothing. Say hail to our new Chief in Anambra -Dr Willie Maduabuchi Obiano! ![]() |
plaindealer: Obi deported fellow SE people back to their state's and you didn't demand anything from Obi or use it against him especially regarding this election so who are you deceiving with your hypocritical and tribal concerns? You people keep making this claim, even though you have shown no proof. It is ANTI-ANAMBRA to send any Igbo out of Anambra state. We all condemned Theodore Orji of Abia when he did it in Abia and Peter Obi then said he wouldn't retaliate. I don't know if he did. But even if he did, I don't have to tell you that the Lagos one is from a non-Igbo and won't be easily forgiven. We haven't forgiven Orji of Abia, not to talk of Fashola. |
Omo_Tier1: Simply, He knows the truth and He stood by it. Peter Obi on the other hand is forever condemned in history books as an ethnic bigot, who still billions of LG funds, alienated Anambrans and turned them against progress.Look, if I were Ngige, I would have IMMEDIATELY OPENLY condemned that act. You don't understand how some of us held Ngige before that political mistake. There was already a debate amongst Anambra people concerning Ngige, with some (like Chris Uba his ex-godfather) accusing him of selfishness. We dismissed Uba's accusations as frustrations of a dumped godfather. But when Ngige chose to keep quiet over the deportation saga, he confirmed an already suspected trait -SELFISHNESS. And he PERSISTED in not condemning it. The whole thing even made him look politically dumb, or outrightly irresponsible. He destroyed his image and standing in Anambra state by his own hands. Orji Kalu in his days as Abia State governor would openly attack Obasanjo's anti-Igbo policies. He may go back to him in the dead of the night and apologize, but he understood what he needed to do to win elections in Abia state. That example is a little extreme, but you get the point? Ngige stopped Ngige. Period. ![]() |
Orlando Owoh: On your second point, it is your low reasoning that will make you use the position of Chris Ngige on the "deportation" of some people to Onitsha to work against him. Didn't Peter adaObi also deport? But I say the truth here; your ad hominem will be ignored. Anambra is the leader of Igbo opinion, and Onitsha is the biggest microcosm of Igbo and Eastern Nigeria. For Fashola to deport some Igbo and dump them at Onitsha is politically wrong, and for Ngige not to comdemn it spoke volumes to our people. All we read from it was that the man Ngige will put the interest of outsiders ahead of that of the people he was seeking to govern. All politics is local, and Ngige failed to understand this elementary fact in politics. You can take it leave it; changes nothing. |
But come to think of it; HOW HARD WAS IT FOR NGIGE TO SIMPLY CONDEMN FASHOLA'S ill thought deportation acts? Was it that hard for Ngige? And WHY was it so hard for him? Nna odikwa egwu. |
FreeGlobe: Ngige will not only win, he will do it with a landslide. Anambra people didn't follow your sentiments when they voted Ngige with ACN in 2011 despite all the propaganda. Peter Obi's saving grace is this is a single election where he has everything at his disposal to rigAnyway, you are wrong my sister, and your error is multifaceted. Firstly, senatorial seat is NOT gubernatorial seat -guber elections are STATE-WIDE. Secondly, Ngige did more damage to himself within 2-3 months of this election than anything else that led to his defeat Thirdly, you miss the fact that Anambra guber elections 2013 is really the first vote cast for the PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS 2015. These are why I asked you earlier whether you REALLY believe that APC (not Ngige) could have won this election. I am not being sentimental, but cold calculating. You are the sentimental one here, eziokwu. |
FreeGlobe: I get angry when jokers like you say Anambra people have made their decision is an obviously flawed election where less than 20% registered voters "voted". Abuja/Inec/Peter Obi has made their decision. yes!FreeGlobe my sister, you should learn how to abandon a lost cause and move on. Do you REALLY believe that APC could have won Anambra state elections? I mean REALLY? |
nnenna.1:You don't know Northerners I tell you. Go and pick up the book written by Max Siollun titled "Oil, Politics and Violence: Nigeria's Military Coup Culture 1966-1976". You will never be the same after reading that book. In July 1966, these people showed the most savage and bloodthirsty nature never seen anywhere in Africa. In a "revenge coup" they killed thousands of innocent people. If I were Jonathan, I would not only arrest that iidiot, I would also try him for treasonably felony and have him sentenced to death by FIRING SQUAD, just to teach others thinking like him that you cannot threaten the sovereigns (THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA) with violence. 2015 is still far off; people like this should be dealt with promptly. Jonathan is indirectly encouraging every iidiot in Nigeria to threaten him and Nigerians. |
Abagworo: If Jonathan runs a free and fair election , then thereNwanne this Ngige defeat pain you well well. Ndo i nula. ![]() Next stop Imo! ![]() |
ndu_chucks has ran away. lol ![]() |
ndu_chucks: So you, of all people have turned into a bigot? I am disappointed.Nwokem it should be easier for you to condemn Junaid Muhammed who is a public figure and a political actor in the North with a history of shedding of Nigerian blood than lob him together with others without that history. We all know that Northern threats are always carried out. This is why I keep saying that Northern Nigeria and Eastern Nigeria are TWO SEPARATE COUNTRIES. Since Junaid loves the SW'ers so much, he can take them along in their new republic. |
The truth is that most Nigerians (about 99%) are apathetic to the Nigerian nation. Their interest in the nation has been steadilly eroding since Obasanjo showed up in 1999 and continued using the style of shoot at sight to quell dissent. Today: If you call for mass action AGAINST the government, nobody will show up. If you call for mass action IN SUPPORT of the government, nobody will show up. The military systematically destroyed all the mass movements that traditionally enlightened Nigerians on the affairs of the nation. I blame Obasanjo more because he should have ended all that in 1999; he didn't. He was even worse than the military. The fact that most Nigerians don't know their reps and senators all originate from that apathy. |
One_Naira: Ngige lost for a reason. He did this to himself. Even an outsider could tell ngige had little chance to win this election even if APC scream till king don come. If they cancel the election and a reelection occurs, ngige would still lose. Let me speak from an outside lookMy brother you pretty much nailed it 100%. I would expand on the import of the top two points. (1) As long as GEJ is in Aso rock, and is carrying on with his transformation agenda, APC stands almost no chance in SE. Let's be clear about this point. (2) When Ngige failed to condemn the deportation of some Ndigbo from Lagos, he KILLED HIS AMBITION to govern Anambra State. That act exposed him more than anything else because he showed himself to be SELFISH and SELF CENTERED. He is also stubborn and disregards the feelings of the same people he is warming up to govern. Anambra state hosts towns like Onitsha (the commercial nerve center of the East, teeming with ALL Igbo and non-Igbo ). So, annoy Onitsha at your peril! Ngige should have known this, being a past state governor. I'm shocked at his irresponsibility and condescending strategy towards Anambra people. It is on this point that those who say that he listened too much to Tinubu has a point. I suspect that he bought into the lies from "sophisticated people". I have always argued that the Igbo are the most politically sophisticated people in Nigeria, and I still stand by that! |
