owobokiri: The only reasonable voice from the sw these days. The recent mergers and decampings and antagonisms directed at the president are nothing but a cocktail of intimidating tactics prepared by some boko politicians , in collaboration with their owambe lapdogs.. Thse jeers and taunts and tantrums being thrown around by a tribal zealot like Buhari, a fulani errand boy like Obasanjo or even a come and chop politician like Tinubu are well ochestrated attacks marshalled to wranckle Jonathana chain. These are not coincidences.. Those
who saw a big country of well over 150,000000 as nothing but a civil war bootty post 1970 are putting up their last fight. It is the duty of all goood , irrespective of their political affliations to rally arround a president under a ferocious seige to make sure that this attempt to remake. Nigeria in a way that favours her teaming millions and not her theiving minnions is not scuttled by a restive bunch of highly unproductive elite.. This is the fight ahead of us. For all Nigerian citizens frustrated at the alarming rate of Nigerias perrenial underacheivement, this is a generational call for action.! Put succintly, it is time to fight back. We are too big a people, too sopphisticated a culture to be held donw perpetually to serve as serfs to some empty bullies like obasanjo. Our future should be too important too be dictated by dead men like Babangida and Danjuma. Confrences were held to reach agreements that led to Nigerias independence. With all troubles and tribulations this woefully underperforming country has gone through since independence, talks are needed to set things right again. . Keep the president in your prayrs. The shaks are circling. When you see Obasanjo, Buhari, Babangida and their footsoldiers threatening fire and brimestone, you should know we are on the right path.. . t e f ne

Well said bro! Thanks!

I've always held out hope that as long as there is Afenifere in the SW, there is hope for a voice of reason from that region.
Check out their history in the post military era of Nigeria and you will see a focused and truly enlightened organization teeming with intellectuals.
Alas the gangs of the west led by Tinubu almost grabbed the limelight!

I thank God for a day like this.

The enemy creators are those who want a Nigerian president to be a lame duck because he is a minority from the South of the country.
The enemy creators are those who want a Nigerian president to retain an evil order instituted over four decades ago to keep Nigeria permanently under the control of civil war victors.
What the enemy creators fail to understand is that Nigeria has changed in ways that none of them can control.
They no longer have monopoly of "news".
Their days are over in Nigeria.

Jonathan, you have only two things coming for you -
Either:
(1) GLORY if you deal with these enemy creators once and for all
OR
(2) Humiliation out of office if you fail to do so.

Hmm, eh en.
Nigeria, where a blind man insists on being the driver of a ten car train!
So, Jonathan who has been the ONLY Nigerian CIVILIAN president with a democratic style is now being made to look like the problem with Nigeria.
A country where an ape that should be thrown into a zoo is writing letters and some people are giving him attention.

For me, it is a test of leadership balls. If Jonathan wants to be humiliated out of office, let him continue playing "good boy" to idiots with no conscience. I shall abandon him too if I see that he lacks balls to deal with some idiots in Nigeria.
Who wants to support a weakling in a fight of life and death?

I personally believe that Nigeria should not last past the conference, unless minorities have accepted to be slaves in Nigeria.

ndu_chucks: Is there anyone else who doubts that GEJ is finished?

Note how Tinubu has sort of taken a back seat and allowed Buhari to be the fase of APC. Buhari has been making pronoucements such as "We will meet with OBJ" etc. Tinubu is turning out to be a very savvy and smart politician who unerstands that he has some baggages which his enemies can use to fight APC if Tinubu were the face of APC or its presidential candidate.

I believe Jagaban Borgu may be one of the most powerful politicians in Nigeria today. GEJ has alienated every well meaning supporter and he continues to present himself as the President of the SS/SE or Ijaws alone. GEJ and his crew have been selling off national assets to their cronies and are believe they can renegotiate the oil block contracts whereby they will move the same to their cronies, come 2016.

His handlers have grossly miscalculated and will pay dearly for their miscalculations.

We continue to watch the Dangotes and the Odetolas of Nigeria; if those guys shift allegiance from GEJ, then GEJ may not make it to 2015 as our President.

You keep making outrageous and unsubstantiated allegations against our beloved president. Where were you when Obasanjo was busy selling off the whole of Nigeria (including Bakassi) to the highest bidder?
Now that some of those thieves are being quarantined and the stolen assets recovered and shared fairly, you are here crying wolf.
The truth remains that Nigeria is yet to recover even 10% of stolen assets handed over to thieves in the North and their international puppeteers.
By God's grace we shall recover ALL of them.

As far as I'm concerned, once a CBN governor compromises himself by being partisan, HE SHOULD GO!
He should either resign or be fired.
The man is a danger to the present government. He is NOT impartial, and is steeply in bed with opposition to the present government.
The way I see it, he has no credibility left.

Politics / Any Hint Of A Coup Will Disintegrate Nigeria by Onlytruth(m): 6:11pm On Dec 17, 2013
Any keen political observer would agree that the body languages of known coup plotters in Nigeria in the past few weeks indicate that something is going on behind closed doors. I would like to believe that those known coup plotters are only delusional to think that they will EVER again be allowed to dictate the fate of millions of Africans in their own land.
So, they can be carelessly led to believe that they can come back to relevance; it changes nothing on the ground! They will soon learn that Nigeria is not the land, and that the peoples that make up Nigeria will NEVER AGAIN allow them to dictate their futures.
I have always maintained that Nigeria is NOT the LAND, but the PEOPLE living there. Already, a sizable chunk of Nigerians are tired of the Nigerian experiment and want to end it. All they need is a very good reason to end it... like a coup.

One_Naira: OP

One thing you seem to be believing is that whatever war that comes to Ijawland would be fought by Ijaws alone and you believing their minority population is a disadvantage. No offense but there's no way any war that touches Ijaw would not affect other minority tribes in Nigeria. Your entire analysis is not as cutthroat as you think. You believe the internal fights with other communities that Ijaw have would create enemies for them as oppose to allies but you disregard the close proximity would be an advantage for them. Even if the other communities want nothing to do with the war, there's no way Nigerian military can attack Ijaws without accidently attacking other groups. Actually the war would unite SS cause all tribes would want to defend their own community since they would be affected. The SE would even join in, that is if SS Igbo gets dragged into the war as well. If not, they'll would stand in the sideline watching. Another thing you seem to be disregarding is the Ijaws do not give a crap how small or big their population is, who they are fighting, how much stronger the person is. As far as they concerned, they aren't scared of fights. Exhibit A: ND militants

This is the point the OP couldn't see in his usual myopic views.
