Okay let me say this because I know that "Ijaw-citizen" is a NATURAL COWARD.
He runs away when MEN show up, and sneak back when they leave.

If I'm a betting man, I would bet that he is from across the Niger near the border with Benin republic.
His character is TYPICAL. cheesy

Learn your first most important lesson of the year today; as far as Nigeria is concerned, We Ijaws have neither friends nor enemies, but we'd deal with every foe wherever they emanate from; be it North, South, East or West.

Mayor_of_Lagos:

What does it benefit you to have internatiinal airport/s that serves no purpose other than seasonal herding home of Ibos for xmas? If your land holds no commercial appeal without airport, how do you hope to transform it singularly with airports, international or not?

The SE has potential to be the "Gauteng" of Nigeria. In South Africa, the richest and most economically vibrant city and region is Johannesburg, not Cape Town or Durban. The SE can be the economic hub of Nigeria because it has ALL it takes to be that.
The people panicking over Enugu international airport know this fact.
For me, it is more of STRATEGIC importance that SE and Igboland has DIRECT international contact.
We can NEVER surmount our enemies without that contact.
Obasanjo just confirmed it.
Politics / Re: “you May Not Survive This” – Obasanjo Tells Jonathan (another Revelation) by Onlytruth(m): 12:01am On Jan 07, 2014
To achieve this, we need to send Igbo Ohanaeze reps from Delta state to Gov Uduaghan to ensure that Asaba is QUICKLY internationalized.
Next, we try our best to convince "Mallam" Rochas Okorocha to invest in upgrading Owerri to an international airport. Because he is in APC, he may find this hard to accomplish, but I still have to say this.
If Abia wants to build an INTERNATIONAL airport (not local one o! ) she should go ahead and build it.
The more the merrier folks!

Our enemies HATE us connecting DIRECTLY with the outside world.
Our YOKE is tied OUTSIDE!

I remember that I opened a thread on Nairaland about why the SE needs at least THREE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS.
Some of our people were arguing with me; some were asking WHY, and making steewpid arguments that we need other infrastructure first.

Now, maybe, just maybe our people here will start to use their brains.

I will say it again: WHAT WE NEED IN IGBOLAND IS AS MANY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS AS POSSIBLE.
We can NEVER outsmart our enemies without them.

And next time anyone argues with me over this, I will send an e-slap his way! cool

ijaw citizen: You sir, are living in a skewd reality which in essense is not reality.

Bayelsa is not in the East and never will be. Even at the division of Nigeria, nobody has the might to draft us to a "east". President Jonathan NEVER said he came from the "east"

Your assertion that 50% of Ijaw were birthed by Igbo mother makes me doubt your maturity & ur mental state/stability. So you just manufacture figures like you manufacture babies at Igboland's baby factories?

The Western world you're refering to knew the Niger Delta and traded with its city-states for centuries before an eastern Nigeria was created. So my friend, Niger Delta takes preemminence over ur most cherished east. You can not cow us under any form of magic or spell to be easterners, we know our identity, we know who we are.

You really sound childish when you declare that "most of SS REMAIN east" as if you have the power.

Why don't you go and tell the Israelis that they "REMAIN" Palestinians? Pls proceed to Ukraine, Georgia and others that they "REMAIN" USSR/Soviets.

Yeye dey smell.

Mr alj-harem sharrap dia. I wonder for how long you would be on this site trying to destroy Jonathan an innocent man who decided to be true to himself and find his true base upon which to rest while projecting power.
I know you are not happy that he is president; please learn to tolerate him. You won't die in 8 years of Jonathan's presidency.

As for the bolded, YES the Israelis are Palenstinians by region, though in Israel no one is really called an "Israeli". You are called a JEW or Arab or other. Gerrit?
As for the Ukrainians, whether they like it or not, the Eastern side of Ukrain is RUSSIAN, just like the Northern part of SS is IGBO.
If "SS" forms a different nation, the IGBO would still be THERE. YOU CANNOT CHANGE THESE FACTS.

Jonathan is from "SS" of EASTERN NIGERIA, a region that is very very real. cool

Now "Go and DIE"! grin

we are headin to Biafra!

u get it shocked

Unless I see certain Igbo politicians openly call for Biafra like some of Northern people have called for power to return to the North or hell would break loose, I will continue to hold out hope that Nigeria can hold together and work for everybody.

I have grown over the last few years to only say things I know is plausible.

Let me just say this:
If you give me a FULLY functioning Nigeria, and a FULLY functioning Biafra, going by what I know now, I would take a fully functioning Nigeria.
Biafra, to me, only becomes the accepted option after Nigeria has failed.
Ojukwu towed the same line of thought. He declared Biafra after exhausting all reasonable efforts to save Nigeria.
After his exile, he returned to Nigeria and became a full Nigerian again, even up to the extent of running for presidential office - Nigerian presidential office.
When he died, he was given a Nigerian national burial because everyone in the know knew that he was a reluctant rebel.

Something in me tells me that Nigeria has a bright future.

size38: This new romance btw SS and SE is becoming something else oo. But for sure, i know this romance will end wit GEJ's administration. because majority of south-south will not support Igbo presidency. For all I know, Igbos are only giving their support to an Ijaw man and not south-south. A typical Ijaw man won't want an Igbo man anywhere near him/her. Even right here in Niger Delta, we how the Ijaws behaves to other Ijaws like the Kalabaris, okirika etc so d Igbos should be wise

If you believe that Igbo is backing GEJ because he is Ijaw, then you are wrong; don't expect me to break sweat schooling you on this.
We are supporting him because he is "the best" for now -he has achieved more than other past civilian presidents in this republic.
We want the best for Nigeria.
Of course I would be lying if I say that our geopolitical interest is not part of our calculus. Duh! undecided
But those interests are not threatened by Ijaw or any other group in the "SS". It was protected to a certain extent even under Yar adua.
Obasanjo wanted to do more harm to Igbo, but he found out that he couldn't. Igbo are a major ethnic group in Nigeria. Only fools and kids don't understands that.

If APC fields a CREDIBLE Igbo politician, it may be difficult for GEJ to continue to hold majority of Igbo votes.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that this policy may have to do with balancing trade with some countries.
Nigeria's export to certain countries are dwindling, so Nigeria may want to neutralize the impact on balance of payment, BUT I don't know if Nigeria can afford to do this.
Just my humble opinion.

Politics / Ndigbo Should Stick With GEJ by Onlytruth(m): 9:50am On Jan 03, 2014
There seems to be a new sense of desperation on the part of APC and its supporters about the block vote support GEJ enjoys in SE -the Igbo heartland.

At first I thought that APC was a truly national party with plans better than those of the incumbent, but the more I look the less I see, or should I say the WORSE I see.

Recently, the party has started to agglomerate all manner of bad and unpatriotic elements -those who destroyed Nigeria ab initio (Fela kuti) -into the party, with the hopes of overawing the incumbent and deceiving gullible Nigerians.
But what is becoming more and more clear is that APC is in fact a gang up against a sitting president from a minority tribe of Eastern Nigeria.

This has NOTHING to do with performance in office whatsoever. Make no mistake about this, GEJ can NEVER please these people. The only way he can please them is for him to hand over power to them in 2015.

Because of this, I predict that a watershed in Nigeria's history is approaching. This watershed shall define the destiny of Nigeria.
Somehow, Ndigbo are getting their politics right for the first time in a very long time.
I say we ignore few clueless reneges from the East that are dining with APC for now. The APC has NOTHING to offer us, I double dare APC to tell us what they will do for the East if they win. I dare them to tell us how they will outperform GEJ in developing ALL parts of Nigeria like GEJ is doing now.

I say we stick to Jona and NEVER let go of him no matter what!

If we do this, I promise you that APC will "go and die" somewhere outside of our territory!

Politics / Re: GEJ's Strategic Plan For 2015 Election Victory - Leaked By Cramjones by Onlytruth(m): 7:58am On Jan 02, 2014
In fact, let me make my own prediction.

If Jonathan loses the 2015 elections, then every derogratory name the opposition ever called him is true.

Will the presidential elections be free and fair? I think it is an irrelevant question, afterall since when did Nigeria start to conduct free and fair presidential polls?

As far as I know, there has NEVER been any free and fair presidential polls since independence. Nigeria does not even have a credible census and demography. How then can anyone claim to conduct a free and fair poll there?

I'm a litte angry at Jonathan for allowing every ijdiot insult him and his office. If I were one of his advisers, these noises would have been drasitically reduced. The ijdiots running around insulting him have done far more damage to Nigeria than Jonathan could ever do.

Well, lets keep watching to see whether Jonathan is what his haters say he is.

This thread is just basically r-eta-rded. lol

The OP makes MANY unintelligent claims or implications, I don't even know where to start.

His message can be summarised thus: Nigeria needs a revolution. The only acceptable leaders and beneficiaries of that revolution must be from North or SW.

He totally negates a possibility that the incumbent or any other person from other parts of Nigeria can move Nigeria to the next level.

The only thing the OP said that I agree with is that 2015 may be the year Nigeria finally ceases to exist.
I TOTALLY agree that Nigeria should divide ALREADY if the messiah must only come from core North or South West.

ROSSIKE: WHAT A LOAD OF DUMBED DOWN GARBAGE. FOR YOUR INFORMATION YOU SHALLOW, NON-RESEARCHING SELF LOATHERS, THE ONLY REASON, REPEAT: THE ONLY REASON South Korea is a developed nation today is that after WW2, the victorious western allies led by the US decided to create STRONG CAPITALIST BULWARKS to checkmate the spread of COMMUNISM in the Asia Pacific. This they did by CHOOSING a specific set of Pacific nations in the 1950s to which they granted UNPRECEDENTED FINANCIAL, TECHNOLOGICAL, AND ECONOMIC SUPPORT INCLUDING, MOST IMPORTANTLY, UNLIMITED ACCESS TO WESTERN MARKETS FOR THEIR FINISHED PRODUCTS.

THE RESULT? By the 1980s, THOSE CHOSEN STATES HAD BECOME THE 'TIGER ECONOMIES' OF ASIA.

WITHOUT THOSE WESTERN INCENTIVES, ESPECIALLY UNRESTRICTED MARKET ACCESS (UNRECEIVED BY ANY AFRICAN STATE IN MODERN HISTORY) SOUTH KOREA WOULD BE NO DIFFERENT FROM ITS ASIAN NEIGHBOURS WHICH WERE NOT CHOSEN - Burma, Nepal, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Bhutan, East Timor, Papua New Guinea and others.

SO KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN POSTING THESE SILLY PICTURES COMPARING NIGERIA AND SOUTH KOREA. BETTER YET, LEARN TO READ THE HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONS BEFORE DRAWING LAZY CONCLUSIONS BASED ON LACK OF RESEARCH.

Let me get something straight...
So, you mean that HARDWORK and WESTERN EDUCATION (both of which are non-existent in about 60% of Nigerian landmass in the North) has nothing to do with rapid development seen in South Korea?
You mean that Nigeria can develop even if US dumps all her money on Nigeria, without Nigerian willingness to adopt modernization?

You people lie too much to yourselves, and that is even the bigger problem.

Science/Technology / Re: Homebuilt Radio controlled Helicopter by Onlytruth(m): 8:36am On Dec 31, 2013
OP, I have some solid advice for you, and you should pay very careful attention to them.
Here we go.

(1) NEVER leave Nigeria for any other reason than to go and buy things, or do certificate courses in Engineering, or the like, and RETURN pronto to Nigeria and STAY there.

2) Do not go for degree courses in this because you really don't need it. What you need, you already have and that is TALENT and PASSION to pursue a career in flight engineering and production. Worst case scenario you develop a company that only improve on parts for flying machines, and you could corner a niche that people would come from different parts of the world to buy from you in Nigeria. Believe me this is possible because you are passionate enough (I saw what you did on the first page).

(3) Try and register a company in Nigeria for developing flying things and parts. The field is capital intensive as you found out, but there are always investors who will come only when they see that you are seriously focused on this and watch you successfully surmount initial challenges. They will come later, trust me. For now, HUSTLE to set up that company. It shall employ you and many others like you later. cool

(4) If you are from Imo or Abia, please locate the company in Owerri or Enugu (these two cities have airports and thus you can have international interaction whenever you really want). You need that international interraction (that is why people mistakenly leave Nigeria), and still develop your company successfully in Nigeria. Companies in all parts of the world do this too. No country is an island onto itself today, so to say.

(5) NEVER leave Eastern Nigeria for any other place in Nigeria. Borrow a leaf from Innoson auto manufacturing company Nnewi and stay in the East. It would be TOUGH at first, but if you survive for about 2-5 years, you will succeed in establishing a premier Nigerian "Boeing" in the long run. cool

Most of the top companies in IT were founded by non-conformers; some of whom are school dropouts. They drop out because they do not want others to stiffle or dilute their passion and ingeniuty. Passion and talent is all you need in this life, not necessarily uni degree.

It is time young Nigerians started to build engineering companies FROM SCRATCH. Times for "jobs" after graduating from uni are long gone!

Nwanne, jisie ike.

Keep me posted on your progress at ezendigbo_nl@hushmail.com

I have taken time to properly think about this project and it doesn't come off well.
I believe in business and free market (though held on very tight ropes because it has ways of threatening human survival on earth if not controlled), but business must not only be for business alone; it must be for the benefit of relevant human beings.
The refinery is analogous to a man making babies with another mans wife. I strongly suspect that the oil that will feed this refinery will come from the East (SE/SS), and it will create thousands of jobs for LOCALS around it.
Unless there is a nearby oil field he is eyeing to feed this refinery which we don't know yet, I won't rejoice over it!

At the end of the day, this, unfortunately would be a political appointment. The elections start next year and the next CBN governor will be central to certain policy implementations that can sink or float GEJ's boat.

I wouldn't want to guess that candidate because only the inner circles of PDP would know.
Politics / Re: Tony Elumelu - The Next CBN Governor by Onlytruth(m): 5:27pm On Dec 28, 2013
With all due respect to Sanusi apologists on this thread, the man lowered the bar set by Soludo!
When he came in and was only parroting "risk in the system.. risk management...risk, risk, risk!" I knew he would fail at the job.
For a CBN governor to gaffe in the amount of money at the CBN up to a whooping $38 billion is the height of incompentency!
I am grateful that GEJ has done the needful with him by firing his @ss.
Good riddance!

As for his replacement, my 20/20 tells me that he/she has to be a core technocrat as well as a person not working for the opposition.
Nigeria's CBN has developed to international standards (thanks to SOLUDO who restructured it for dominance in Africa). I believe that the institution itself can withstand a mediocre like Sanusi without crashing. So, those who say that GEJ should pick a loyal person is on point. cool
