PoliticsRe: Sovereign National Conference: Opening A Pandora’s Box by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 3:38pm On Feb 16, 2012
Whose fault is it then, is it not the fault of our past northern military leaders, whom do want the southeners to blame, when our leader in the north choose to use violence to protect their pocket, where were you when the so called Northern elders said they will make nigeria ungovernable for GEJ. Let me tell you untill we move toward physical federalism we the notherners will never go back to what we know how to do best which is agric, we could feed the nation and bring the oil money from the south back to our region, because they will have to come buy cattles, yam, cassava and other food items from us, and then all this blame game will end it even the only way we can move this country forward an end to a centralised government and a move toward a weak central government and a strong regional government like our founding fathers had it planned not the currupt system we have today
BusinessRe: Jaiz Bank To Open 13 Branches This Year by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 7:47pm On Feb 15, 2012
when people call it non interest usually laugh, let talk about interest here, on average most nigerian banks charge about 20%, and let us say jaiz bank gives u a loan with a 20% profit sharing agreement, if we do the do the maths u will notice that the difference is even more with islamic model, wether those promoting this model like it or not the model is still same as the interest based model. the problem nigerians have with banks is not interest but the cholateral for the loan which most nigerians cant afford. please you should all note that the islamic model also require cholateral. what we need is a good micro finance banking system not this for now
EducationRe: Rochas Declares Free Education In Imo State To University Level. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 7:13pm On Feb 14, 2012
AFAM4EVA nobody is saying it is not a good policy, but this thing is this if you go to the market to buy a car which of which is chep and low quality it last just for a while then it starts to fail, but when you buy one that is of good quality that is expensive you sef no say that one go last for a long time.  What i believe Mr. Rochas should do is provide good and long term loan guarantees to student to go to quality school to acquire skill which is what we need right now in this country and not low quality graduate that cannot contribute to the economy but sit at home and waiting for miracle for them to get the job that is so hard to get in this country. It is not about getting more people through university but actually what will they do after the university education
EducationRe: Rochas Declares Free Education In Imo State To University Level. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 6:43pm On Feb 14, 2012
wel i will say good job, good intention, but i dont think that more university graduate is nigerians problem, nigeria already has morethan enough graduate without jobs roaming the street. I would have loved it if Mr. Rochas channel that money into building good vocational centers. Where the graduates and non graduates can go and acquire skills that are of use the economy of the state and that of the country at large, lets take China, Japan, South Korea and USA for example this are countries which are doing great economically, it is not because they have more graduate than other countries but because they have the skills to build cars, cell sphone, television etc. The people with this skills in this countries are over 98% not univesity graduates, we should please as a country try to deemphaisize this university degree thing and move to skill acquisition that is the only solutionto our problems now, good thing but i must say not what the people need now

PoliticsRe: Pib To Compel Oil Majors ( Shell, Mobil, Etc) To Establish Refineries by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 7:57am On Feb 11, 2012
china no be saint oooo they will come with their own interest too so we should stop seeing them in that light and rather try as a country to make strong rules for foriegn investors as they come to nigeria to do business, rules that favor us as a nation. also rules that help our own local companies to acquire the technology from the foriegn comapnies hence biulding our our own local companies capacity todo business
PoliticsRe: Pib To Compel Oil Majors ( Shell, Mobil, Etc) To Establish Refineries by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 4:28pm On Feb 10, 2012
buttkick i like your point because every company that operate in any economy or country should try to contribute to that countries economy,
phreakabit nice point too companies in nigeria must follow rules and regulation guiding business in nigeria,
alj harem i like your point, we should as a country focus on building our own brand like other countries did, but i have a little problem with government establishments in nigeria, they simply never work because of to much special interest, so i will rather advice we focus on a private sector driven system like most of the countries in the west do take for example:

BP is completely private sector owned, completely owned by shareholders all over the world from asia to america see this reference http://ryankett.hubpages.com/hub/British-Petroleum-Ownership-Who-Owns-BP

Shell and Chevron are also owned by private sector, individuals who have money and are ready to invest

Aramco is owned and controled by saudi government

nigeria is not like saudi so we cannot run state owned companies well because we have to many special interest problems, let spit it out simply we are not one, hard truth but that is the truth, when you put a southerner in charge he put his people they whether they know the job of not, if the northerner is put in charge he also does thesame thing, in this country is either we embrace full private sector ran companies and let the government the regulation otherwise i simply dont see a wayout of our current state, it is just my opinion ooooo
PoliticsRe: Ghana Reinstates Fuel Subsidy But Higher Transport Fares Remain. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 4:13pm On Feb 09, 2012
our real problem is we are importing refined oil, as long as we continue to import our currency will remain weak because we prop up the dolar against our currency with the demand for the dolar over two trillion naira worth anually we need to remove that presure on our currency if we want it to improve, not crude oil it is our refined oil within that can drop from 138 naira if we remove subsidy to as low as even 50naira, because one our currency will improve it will drop to below 100naira to a dolar that will be good for our economy it will also provide jobs for our teaming unemployed, also we must improve agriculture so as to reduce our import of agricultural products like wheat and rice because this two are the products along with importation of refined oil that are putting alot of presure on the naira.

sorry ooo thoth for asking are u realy nigerian, where were you when Ngozi Iweala and her then boss OBJ paid off our debts during Obj regim, what about 36billion dolar and climbing, that was millitary era debt sir, i think you should check this properly, nigeria was indebted under abacha to the tune of 36billion and climbing, and that is what will happen again if we dont try to put our house in order soon, sir why is it that high prices scare you so much, i know why it is because maybe you are in a public sector based economy that doesnt respect professionalism but favoritism unfortunately that is the case in nigeria, we must move towards and stong private sector economy if we want to really start seeing better pay, take for instance the tellecoms industry, banking sector and a few other sectors, this are the kind of jobs we need jobs that atleast pay a good pay in nigeria of atleast above one hundred thousant naira monthly, this is what will heppen if we fully deregulate our oil sector
PoliticsRe: Ghana Reinstates Fuel Subsidy But Higher Transport Fares Remain. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 2:51pm On Feb 09, 2012
thank God you know why the nigerian currency is this low, it is simply because we import more than we export, when Ghana revalued thier currency about three of four years ago it was GHs 1 to 1 dolar but today it is at Ghs 1.59 to 1 dolar lossing 0.59 of its value less than 3 or so years, calculate the maths in no more than 3 years more it must has lost about thesame value. If your economy is not as largely export dependent as that of US revaluing your currency will not help your economy. Point of correction the chineese currency is where it is because it is a huge export dependent economy, it is either we become self sufficient like the British or even a revalueing of our currency will not help the economy
PoliticsRe: Ghana Reinstates Fuel Subsidy But Higher Transport Fares Remain. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 2:13pm On Feb 09, 2012
well I acknowledge your fact quite logical, but economics is not logic, take japan for example, japans currency right now on the forex market is 77 to 1 dolar but yet that doesnt mean that the japaneese cant go abraod to school or cant afford US made goods, what we should focus on in Africa is biulding robust and effective market economies with rubust banking systems, that can be able to fund our private sector needs and that can also provide long term loans to our students to pay for better educations.
PoliticsRe: Ghana Reinstates Fuel Subsidy But Higher Transport Fares Remain. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 12:54pm On Feb 09, 2012
thot nigeria only has one problem and that is curuption every nigerian knows, that is is our problem we know also that will end one day, also note that from your quatation of 1.5 to 1 dolar for a Ghana cedi I was right hence my calculation was right, stop trying to mislead my people you guys simply pay more for petrol than we do, so stop the nonsense please and mind your business in your country
PoliticsRe: Ghana Reinstates Fuel Subsidy But Higher Transport Fares Remain. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 12:47pm On Feb 09, 2012
Mr. Thot i dont know which country you are from but i think nigerians are more elignthen than whatever country you come from, point of correction the naira as at this morning is 158 naira to 1dollar, and also note that the value of a countries currency is determined by your export and import capacity, before Ghana revalued her currency nigeria first started that process, but because we know our economics better than you do, we decided not to do so, note that the chinese and the japanese are also keeping their currency low to gain export advantage so the value of our currency is not the issue, and again when will we africans grow above the western conspiracy thing and start to shape our destinies, pls stop the nonse and start looking closely at your self before you blame others for your problems.
PoliticsRe: Ghana Reinstates Fuel Subsidy But Higher Transport Fares Remain. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 3:58pm On Feb 08, 2012
when will Nigerian learn to check the facts before they react like this, the price after the removal of subsidy was GHp 175 which is $1.03 which is 163 naira, now with 20% decrease it is now GHp 140 which is now $0.83 which is 130 naira. so pls as Nigerian we must stop comparing ourselves with Ghana because our case is different
