PoliticsRe: See How Long It Took Pdp's Govt. To Sign The Budget Into Law From Year 2000-2015 by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 9:41am On May 04, 2016
My problem with the process this time around is that the APC followers are using the issue as a propaganda against the National Assembly, it is not new at all. But some people want to make it look like the National Assembly is trying to sabotage the president. Once again it is the normal process simple.
PoliticsRe: FG Wants Speedy Completion Of Mambilla Power Project – Buhari by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 6:10am On Apr 14, 2016
Mambilla was already scheduled for completion in 2018, as agreed between China and Nigeria, in 2012 so this is not new. see here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mambilla_Power_Station

Nigerian army is clearly winning this war
this is not Nigeria winning the war, for the Nigerian army is still avoiding the real confrontation and going after rustlers, instead of going after the herds men whom are busy killing my people in their homes.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Unbundles NNPC Into 7 Units by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 6:41am On Mar 09, 2016
good move, but its a Journey of illegality, without the enabling laws. this is suppose to go through the national assembly.
PoliticsRe: See How Many People The Courts Have Found Guilty Of Corruption Since Buhari. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 6:52pm On Mar 07, 2016
BoleynDynaSTY:
well I expect more, that is not fight against corruption or justice..so someone steals in dollars and u collect mere #400m and ur happy?for me I want the punishment cause a poor man won't be given the bail option
The bail money does not belong to government, bail is held by the court for the accused until found guilty or not. if found guilty or not the money is retuned to the accused. so bail does not mean money returned.
PoliticsRe: Laolu Akande Asks Nigerians To Name Road Projects Completed In Last 10 Years by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 4:19pm On Mar 01, 2016
Dahveydson:
Your argument is invalid. Governor Sullivan of Enugu state, constructed a brand new road linking Enugu to Nsukka.

Now that's a state. If a Federal Government of 10 years cannot show a single new road it built from scratch then it is a disgrace and shouldn't be defended.

Again, Governor Sullivan didn't abandon other states road but improved and maintained them while he built that road.

Like I said, your argument is invalid.
Nigeria is finding it difficult to maintain existing roads, and you are talking of new ones. play the game simcity 2000 or 3000 and you will know how difficult it is to maintain a city with to many roads. if you ask me, I will say our federal roads are enough as they are, we just need to maintain them properly, not build new ones that we can't afford to maintain.

Restructure Nigeria along True Federalism in order to make the states productive.
This will see every state exporting one or more products which will see the dollar inflow increase.
PoliticsRe: Ekitigate - Watch Channels And Comment by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 9:51pm On Jan 31, 2016
This guy has been paid by the forces that want Fayose silent to come and say all he is saying, anyone that believe all this show of shame believe at his/her own peril. On another note Fayose's man did a poor job defending his boss. what he has presented so far simply amounts to campaign funding, since he had no evidence that the military was paid. 1billion he claims was paid to INEC cannot be brought again as the election is done and dusted. there is no campaign in the world that is not funded, not even that of APC can claim that it did not fund heavily it campaign or that is did not receive donations from its billionaire supporter, so this for me is just of know issue. this evidence can easily be thrown out in a court of law except he has something better than just these documents as evidence.

PoliticsRe: Kaduna University Suspends Lecturer For Criticising APC On Facebook by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 10:53am On Jan 28, 2016
OlujobaSamuel:
same fate should befall anyone engaged in such act. from bayelsa to kaduna. You can't be on my payroll and be for my opponent nor insult my kids just because they think their father's family is the best on planet earth. if you want to criticize, do it with sense and don't insult the intelligibility of others.
the money paid to workers belong to every citizen of the state, it does not belong to the governor
PoliticsRe: Governor Ortom Unable To Pay Salaries After Borrowing N60 Billion In 7 Months by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 6:48am On Jan 26, 2016
omenka:
Can you tell me any major infrastructural projects executed by Suswam?? Jeez! cheesy
let be frank, they are both bad leaders. Suswan did a lot of road maintenance, school renovation during his first term. I lived in Benue throughout Akume's time in office, that guy did nothing but loot state funds. I know why you see him now as a good person, because his is APC simple, as Zulezu will say.
PoliticsRe: Governor Ortom Unable To Pay Salaries After Borrowing N60 Billion In 7 Months by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 5:13am On Jan 26, 2016
omenka:
I've always been very critical of Ortom's style of government even though he's an APC governor. I've talked about his owing salaries, complaining of paucity of funds while the fool went ahead to purchase cars for officials worth N1.5billion!!

The man so far is a huge failure, just like the governor before him, G. T. Suswam. If he continues on his current trajectory, the people of Benue would give him the boots in 2019, that I'm very sure of.

I've also criticised Akume and D-Mark several times here and insist they are not the kind of leaders we need. (Though Akume did quite a lot of good in his 8year leadership, he's now become some sort of demigod in the state installing whoever wherever).

Now, unlike me who could think things through dispassionately and criticise my own people when they do wrong and commend those different from me (like Muslims or the Hausas and Fulanis or even Igbos) you people are religious and tribal bigots and would see nothing wrong with whatever one does as long as he's a PDP member or an Igbo man.

Yall hate Okorocha and Ngige simply because they mingle with Northerners and belong to APC- what sense is there in that?? You hate ALL Muslims and hate ALL South Westerners except the blabbermouth cvnts FFK and Fayose simply because they are who they are and not because they did you wrong in any particular way- what sense is there in that??

Lastly, I will keep commenting on whatever topics and threads I wanna comment on as long as Nairaland remains a public forum and I'm not breaking the Rules- I'm afraid there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it.

Thanks.
Omenka please stop, Suswan despite his insensitivity did better than Akume.
PoliticsRe: Financial Times calls Nigeria's economic approach the height of foolishness by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 6:24am On Jan 24, 2016
chukwudi44:
That Kemi Adeseoun of a woman is the true depiction of cluelessness!!
I don't think Kemi Adeseoun is controlling the economy, she is does not have free hand to run the economic policies of the country. if you look at what we know so far about the budget, you will see clearly that she did not have any control of the process, this to me is quite serious.
PoliticsRe: Fall Of Naira, Economy: Blame Jonathan, Says APC - Vanguard by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 7:30am On Jan 18, 2016
PassingShot:
The ECA is another kettle of fish. It's been revealed that those who insisted on sharing it based their arguments on the fact that the account was being depleted without their knowledge. It was always being looted so to say. So, we can't blame them for their stand. And what happened to FG's share?
The FR was supposed to be control by CBN but we've known that GEJ turned it to his and PDP's ATM by just writing to Emefiele to release dollars to ONSA and co. Hence, Soludo said Jona ran CBN like Idi Amin of Uganda.

Have you been around and following the news?
The money released by the CBN was Abacha returned loot. if my memory serves me right, the CBN did not release money from excess crude account. correct me with facts and reference please.
PoliticsRe: Fall Of Naira, Economy: Blame Jonathan, Says APC - Vanguard by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 7:14am On Jan 18, 2016
PassingShot:
It's unfortunate that we just have to look back given the present situation of our economy. The situation has been brought about by GEJ's failure to save during windfall from oil sale of average of $100 a barrel. He instead reduced foreign account fromm $44bn in 2011 to $29bn in 2015. The question is, what did he do with the $15bn difference and the excess dollars earned in that period?

Can any supporter of GEJ sincerely answer that what he 'achieved' commensurates with what we earned?

The hardship of today is a result of poor decisions of years past.

I don't envy PMB and his team at all. They inherited a hemorrhaging economy at a time oil price is crashing on daily basis.
Are you forgetting so soon the law suit instituted by Amaichi and other APC governors against the government, forcing the sharing of the excess crude reserve. I want to correct the assertion above, foreign reserve depletion or accumulation in not in the control of government, it is the exclusive preserve of the CBN to deplete and accumulate foreign reserve.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Seals Mega Building At Wuse 2, Abuja (pictures) by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 7:52am On Jan 17, 2016
EFCC over reacting, why brandish the entire bank criminals, without completing the investigation, and competent court convicting those involved. do this people know how negatively this will affect the banks stock on the stock exchange, and also peoples savings in that bank and the entire Nigerian economy.
BusinessRe: Nairaland Economists, Please Come In. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 10:59am On Jan 13, 2016
4. is not possible in my opinion, because whatever we gained from the fall in crude oil price, we lost in exchange rate difference, this is basically because we still import PMS
BusinessRe: Nairaland Economists, Please Come In. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 10:55am On Jan 13, 2016
3. in this case I think what they are simply saying, is that the central bank should simply let the naira float, let the market decide. the naira held at 196 by the central bank is not a reflection of reality.
BusinessRe: Nairaland Economists, Please Come In. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 10:51am On Jan 13, 2016
2. because oil is our largest foreign exchange earner, hence as oil goes the naira goes.
BusinessRe: Nairaland Economists, Please Come In. by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 10:33am On Jan 13, 2016
1. Demand and supply is what drive oil prices and all other commodities.
OPEC has the largest share of the market, so the cartel simply reduce and increase production to control price. but today we have to many big players in the market. they are US shale oil companies, Russia, Mexico, Canada etc all these countries supply the markets at will, OPEC still has some control because together if they can agree and at least get Russia and mexico on their side they can still put a stop on the current price slide. but right now there is know will among members.
the problem is the fear of the Saudis not wanting to loose market share hence the current price war.
PoliticsRe: NNPC To Announce 85 Naira Fuel Pump Price In January 2016 by onojiwizardgmailcom(m): 6:12am On Dec 26, 2015
I don't see price at 97 if subsidy is removed, I believe it will sell above 100 when subsidy end, there is know way the Government can claim to end subsidy and still dictate pump price, except they don't want the current fuel scarcity to end.

the poster above me thinks my President will take sides/ be partial.

Irrespective of region and religion, if you misbehave, you will be fired. grin
If this had happened under GEJ's government, I believe you will not say what you are saying now, you would have been screaming heaven and hell. When will Nigerians grow up to realize that democracy is not dictatorship and that in democracy what is best is dialog not use of force. I believe if the person in the picture above was your relation or tribe you will not spew what you spewed here. great nations are not built by force, there are built through dialog, in which all parties involved get a little of what they want. Try thinking always, if that was me how will I feel, then your humanity will help you reason well.
