If you really love your unborn children and Nigeria at large u will not reinforce failure and this government of nepotism.

As it stands now ,we need to correct the impression of religion and tribalism to select or elect our leaders .secondly this is my person and u know the person is not fit to be there.

What Nigeria needs now is not ordinary president. We need a leader and for us to achieve this we must zero our minds from 4+4 which is a failure to Nigeria

Gozbrown:
After the 2015 general election that produced PMB, the south Eastern zone have always felt marginalized by the current government where key igbo leaders from the past administration were removed and replaced with people from other zone.
Atiku is the only person that can really give the president a tough time due to his wealth of experience as a former vice President and as someone who have contested severally to become president.
It is clear that Atiku will win the south-south, south east and north Central.
Now, this is where Atiku got it all wrong, choosing someone from the south east was a wrong decision because the igbos would have voted for Atiku even if he had chosen someone from another zone because of the way the current government militarized the zone due to the call for Biafra.
He would have chosen someone from the south west to get more of the region support and then pray that states like Kano, Bauchi and other Pro-Buhari states will not give him a 100% vote but as it stands, Atiku will now need a bigger miracle to secure the south west and hope to get more than 25% in some of pro-Buhari states.
Buhari still remains the Man to beat, I see APC winning.

Politics / Atiku To Buhari: 90m Nigerians Living In Extreme Poverty by onubijoe(m): 5:10am On Jan 02, 2019
Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of having nothing to show for steering the ship of the nation for about four years. He said 90 million Nigerians live in extreme poverty under his watch.

Atiku took on the President over his remarks at the kick-off of his presidential campaign in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on December 28, where he declared that he had fulfilled his promises to Nigerians.

The former vice president, reminded the President that a day before he made the declaration, it was revealed that the number of Nigerians living in extreme poverty had increased from 87 million to 90 million in just four months.

In a statement yesterday by his media adviser, Mr. Paul Ibe, the PDP presidential candidate said going by rising poverty rate, the whole country will be in extreme poverty if Nigerians make the mistake of re-electing Buhari.

The statement said: “Except the President made a vow to impoverish Nigerians, it is hard to see how he could have fulfilled his promises with such pervasive poverty and hunger in the land.

“This is even as the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics revealed a week to the President’s unfortunate statement that unemployment had doubled from the 14 per cent he met it in May 2015 to 23.1 per cent in December of 2018.

“But the most blatant insult from the President was his assertion at Uyo that ‘we have defeated Boko Haram’. It was most insensitive of the President to have said such on a day that foreign and domestic media reported the entrapment of our gallant troops by Boko Haram/ISWAP in Baga, with as many as 700 hundred reported missing.

“Even more indicting is the statement from the US based International Strategic Studies Association, which revealed that the Boko Haram insurgency was lingering due to the massive corruption around President Muhammadu Buhari.

“How would those soldiers feel, how would their families feel, how would their colleagues in the barracks feel when they are facing a life and death situation and their commander-in-chief is impervious to reality?”

“And, for the umpteenth time, we call on President Muhammadu Buhari to come clean on the faceless people behind Keystone Bank and Etisalat. Nigerians deserve to know how people who used to beg for N2000 transport money, as revealed by Buhari’s right hand man, Buba Galadima, are now suddenly wealthy enough to acquire multi billion dollar investments.

“Finally, we cannot wait for the presidential debate where Atiku Abubakar will talk about his plans to reduce the unemployment rate from 23.1 per cent under Buhari to single digits, because Atiku means jobs and Buhari means extreme poverty

Politics / Buhari’s New Year Speech Shows He Has Conceded Defeat -pdp...says Mr. President by onubijoe(m): 10:35pm On Jan 01, 2019
January 1, 2019

Press Statement

Buhari’s New Year Speech Shows He Has Conceded Defeat -PDP...Says Mr. President Is Now On Valedictory Mode

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organization (PPCO) describes President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 New Year speech as pathetically empty and shows that he has finally given up, following his irredeemable rejection by Nigerians.

President Buhari could not articulate any concrete commitment on any sector of our national life, not only that he is bereft of ideas, but also because he has lost projections, having realized that Nigerians are not ready to give him a second term in office.

Even when he admitted in his opening that the turn of the New Year is a time for stock-taking and unfolding of new prospects, Nigerians are invited to note that Mr. President, in his entire speech, could not point to any single achievement he made in the out-going year, neither could he unfold any development prospect for the New Year.

Indeed, any discerning mind could see that President Buhari has finally switched into valedictory mode, having realized that Nigerians have seen through the falsehood, lies and deception that have characterized his incompetent and corrupt presidency for almost four years.

President Buhari has no prospects on security despite the daily killings in the land. Even as a Commander-In- Chief, he has no words for our gallant troops daily laying down their lives, fighting insurgents in the North East. He had no soothing word for the victims of bloodlettings in various parts of the country.

Furthermore, President Buhari had no prospects on our ailing economy. He has no plans for our grossly under-performing power sector; nothing on health, education, agriculture, transportation, commerce and industry. He has nothing on job creation, empowerment of our entrepreneurs, and no blueprints for increased foreign direct investments into our nation.

President Buhari said nothing about burning labour issues in the country. He also choose to overlook the ASUU strike that has crippled our tertiary institutions. He has no plans on how to shore up the value our naira, increase purchasing power of citizens and reduce the high costs of goods and services in our land.

Instead, President Buhari, dwelt on unnecessary diatribes, finger- pointing, hate speech and fixation on the 2019 general elections, in which an imminent defeat awaits him and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PPCO therefore calls on Nigerians to rescue our nation from President Buhari and his cabal by working harder in rallying behind our Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who has already articulated practical templates to reposition our nation and return her to the path of good governance, political stability and economic prosperity.

Restore Nigeria with your votes in 2019-Secondus

......says wise voting decisions will save Nigeria

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has charged Nigerians to see 2019 as the restoration year for the country.

Prince Secondus said that the year 2019 is critical in the life of the nation as it would be a turning point in the emerging political evolution.

The PDP National Chairman said in a goodwill new year message to Nigerians that the future of the country lies on the voting decisions they make in the new year.

" The general election in the country this year 2019 provides ample opportunity for the country to be rescued and restored as the biggest black nation in the World both economically and politically.

"This year provides us the ground to save our democracy and the country from the comatose state the misrule and inept administration of the All Progressives Congress, APC has placed it.

Prince Secondus said that 2019 provides the way for us as a country to correct the mistake we made in 2015 which has dangerously brought the country to this sorry state.

According to a statement from his media office signed by his media Adviser, Ike Abonyi, the National Chairman said that good decisions by the voters this year is all that is needed to recover the country from the hands of the destroyers.

"Our nation did not bargain for this quantum of avoidable blood letting and loss of human lives when it voted in 2015.

"Nigerians did not vote in 2015 for their economy which was the best in the continent to be so damaged to merit her the poòr capital of the World.

"It was not the desire of Nigerians in 2015 when they voted to have such frightening unemployment record as confirmed by the National bureau of statistics after nearly four years.

"The growing insecurity in the land, the senseless killings across the country, the endless mauling down of our troops by terrorists and the apparent helpless and insensitive disposition of the government all raise a lot of concern and calls for real change in our polity

Against these backdrops, the PDP boss warned that it would be a huge disservice to the nation and invitation to anarchy if the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, fails to give the country free, fair and credible election this year to enable the will of the people prevail on who governs them.

He warned that a huge consequences await anybody who whether directly or indirectly does anything to undermine the will of the people by trying to manipulate the electoral process.

Prince Secondus specifically admonished the security agencies in the country to always have at the back of their minds, the fact that their responsibility is to Nigeria and Nigerians and not to a particular government in power at a time by remaining transparently neutral in all political matters.

"Anything otherwise from security agencies during this electioneering and always amounts to great disservice to the people of Nigeria whose tax pay they use for their upkeep.

Prince Secondus expressed worry that if PDP elevated Nigeria's democratic status by introducing electoral reform that saw it defeated and had a seamless transition to an opposition, democratic world should be concerned at the refusal of President Muhammadu Buhari to sign an amended electoral act that would have facilitated a smooth and transparent election.

In wishing Nigerians a prosperous and trouble free new year, the National Chairman however advised them to take their destiny in their hands by not only coming out massively to caste their votes but to be ready and prepared to defend it.

Prince Secondus finally urged the global democracies to show more than passing interests in the Nigeria general election because of the strategic importance of Nigeria in the Democratic community in Africa.

Signed.

Ike Abonyi.

Politics / We Have A Warrant To Arrest Dino – Police by onubijoe(m): 2:22pm On Dec 31, 2018
The Nigeria Police said it had a duly obtained warrant of arrest duly deployed to apprehend Sen. Dino Melaye in his residence in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that personnel of the force have laid siege to the residence of Melaye to effect his arrest over a case of culpable homicide.

NAN also recalls that Melaye, member representing Kogi West Senatorial district and some suspects were accused of shooting a police officer, Sgt. Danjuma Saliu, attached to 37 Police Mobile Force (PMF) while on duty in Aiyetoro Gbede, Mopa Road in Kogi.

A statement by the force spokesman, acting DCP Jimoh Moshood on Monday in Abuja, said the police would continue to occupy his residence until he surrendered.

“We will not retreat until Sen. Dino Melaye surrenders himself for arrest and investigation,’’ he said.

Moshood said that Melaye was wanted by the police for a case of criminal conspiracy and attempted culpable homicide, committed on July 19.

He explained that Melaye and his armed thugs allegedly attacked police personnel shot and wounded Saliu in the process.

The spokesman alleged that the lawmaker had refused to report to the police command in Kogi to answer the charges in spite of the letter written to the Clerk of the National Assembly

He said Saliu was yet to recover from the gunshot injury he sustained during the attack and was still under intensive medical care in the hospital.

Moshood said the force would ensure a thorough investigation into the matter to ensure that the rule of law prevailed.
