It only indicates that you are very worried that it is the most likely to sail through given the massive support it is getting online and offline. I told you people that no single area of Anambra state will be annexed for any future state creation. Anambra people are very proud and happy to be Anambrarians. Orlu state idea as proposed by Imo Ugochinyere can only come from a mentally unstable person like him. So far only the IMO state lawmaker in the house of representatives is carrying his wretched Orlu with him and there is no support from the Senate for his demented idea of a state. On the other hand, Anioma state will get full backing from Ohaneze and Anambra power brokers to become the sixth SE state.

You wrote wretched Orlu.
Orlu zone has the largest quantity of natural gas in Nigeria. Orlu zone has been the oil producing area since the beginning.

Nobody has discovered gas deposits in Anioma. There is no oil producing community in Anioma. In terms of viability, Orlu state is about 100% viable. But Anioma is not.
It's only jobbers online who pretend that they are from Anambra State who write all the nonsense that no part of Anambra is leaving Anambra State. Knowledgeable ones from Anambra south are willing to join the oil and gas producing Orlu state.

All because he wants state governors to pocket federal allocations to the local government areas after using a paltry size of the allocations to build such vainglory projects like flyovers where not needed in the state capital, but leave rest of the state impoverished with no modern development infrastructures, as has been going on in most of the states.

To her surprise, she found some Hausa/Fulani people had already moved into the unfinished building with their belongings and were living there. More surprising was that one of the women living there had just given birth to a baby in that building a few days ago.

The woman, who couldn't hide her admiration and love for the newborn baby, carried the baby and decided to take some photographs with the infant.

She mentioned that she didn't go to the site with enough cash, as she wasn't expecting to encounter such a surprise, so she could only give the baby's mother 2,000 Naira.

The woman, who proudly explained that she has other properties in Abuja and more buildings still under construction within the same estate, showed them off.

However, her dilemma now is how to tell the illegal occupants to vacate the property, as she is ready to complete the project and wants work to commence there immediately.

Tufiakwa. Anioma land is not a lost land. Anioma is only separated by the Niger River from the SE zone. And the separation by River Niger does not interfere In the unity between Aniomas and other Igbos in the SE.
Nd'Igbo, and more reasonable Aniomas, NEED, I emphasise NEED, Anioma to remain in the Southsouth zone; Nigeria's unitary govt system of sharing revenues from Abuja underscores the benefits for Anioma being in the SS, and to the people of the SE zone.
Let us put on our thinking caps first before commenting.
Yours truly is not against the agitation of Anioma people for a separate state from Delta state.

This demand for Anioma State was there in 2006 when the Ohaneze you now call on adopted Njaba as the proposed 6th state for the SE. The Ohaneze knows that commensurate political representation of people from the SE zone is main driver for a 6th state in the SE zone. Proposed Njaba state in 2006 is the same thing as the now proposed Orlu state.

Is Anioma disunited from Igbo?
Anioma is part of Igbo land, united with Igbos but only separated by the Niger River.
Any reasonable Igbo would like continued Igbo connection to the SS zone, not disconnected by mere pronouncement of Igbos in the Anioma are now in the SE zone. I am not against the agitation of Anioma people for a separate state but the idea of making proposed Anioma State part of the SE zone is not to the interest of either the Igbos in the SE, or to the Aniomas. Even most reasonable Anioma people will object to being part of the SE zone for pecuniary reasons. Put on your thinking cap and stop writing out of sentiments.

You think of uprooting Anioma and cross River Niger to plant them in the SE. Where Anioma is in now is still Igbo land.

The SE Senate and house of representatives should now have a consultation meeting with those in Delta North including Igbanke, to work on actualising this noble plan.
Ohaneze Ndiigbo should be the ones to anchor this meeting and make it happen.
The Orlu state agenda is good, but bringing Anioma back home( reunited with kin and kiths in SE) where they belong, and allowing the minorities to move capital of the remnants of Delta state to Warri, is a
win-win situation for all involved.

Anioma is rich in crude oil and gas. Asaba is merging with Onitsha to form a mega metropolis.
The state is brimming with human and natural resources and is very much viable.

Ndiigbo let's push and make this happen!

Anioma is in the SS zone. Talk for now is about creating a merited and deserved 6th state in the SE zone.
