Phones › Re: Ntel Lagos limited coverage (Topic Edited) by onyema1D: 2:33pm On Jun 17, 2016 |
bros, before you get a SIM they usually tell you where there is coverage and what type of devices work on their network. Did t they ask you what kind of phone you have? chachanga: Probably a software glitch! Happens all the time in a new operation. They'll keeping debugging etc and it should be right as rain in no time.
But, you're gonna have to go after them in person. Don't let any LooneyBin simpleton come on the thread later, telling how you're verbalizing an "impossibility". It's their textbook-theory brain that's addled and mottled. You'd be amazed how often people generalize and contest issues they know little of. I'd be a billionaire if I had a gameshow daring people to bet on hasty generalizations and shooting them in the head to impound their life's effort / impound their wealth if they lost the bet later.
I doubt NTEL's just gonna start off shooting themselves in the leg with crappy customer handling like that.
Go after them; the 2k mayn't be much but you paid for a service. So, get it &enjoy it! |

Science/Technology › Mystery Solved - How To Make Phone Calls On The Ntel Network by onyema1D(op): 1:29pm On May 16, 2016 |
Ok, so ntel launched and those who got the SIM card could not make calls even though they could browse and download stuff at superfast speed. Well, over the weekend I finally found out how to make calls using my ntel SIM on my Sony Experia Z5 and my friend with a Techno C5 has also made calls too. Here is what to do: If you have WhatsApp programmed on your phone with your old SIM. Take out the old SIM, insert your ntel SIM and once you have a signal, you can make Whatsapp calls, clear and crisp calls to anyone in the world. |

asuustrike2009: It's a gradual process. Didn't they target 50m by 2020? Just watch how the price will eventually come down but my worry is that their network might be slow on the long run if they don't maintain standard Well, ntel seems to be getting there gradually. They just announced via twitter a 2nd SIM pick-up outlet in Abuja and they say Lagos is coming soon. Here is a screen shot from twitter:

shocker007: @onyema1D Kindly clarify this matter on ground. Dragging my username to the mud when you knew the info I posted was from the official website is absurd
The location i posted was directly from NTEL official website and they deliberately blocked access to the source immediately I posted it. And later went on their official media channels to call me out. Open your (sum) link so the world can see what you hiding. Lalasticlala and seun should be aware I am no fraud and the information i posted was from the official website before it was removed off just like they did to the Fair Usage Policy.
You can download their Code of Conduct to see for their CC number which isn't functional. As they later went on their twitter to release 070068355483 as the official cc number which was totally against the code of conduct. Shocker007 my apologies. I checked out the address in Surulere and found nothing then when I saw the ntel rebuttal I screen-grabbed it and put up. I don't have access to their admin or Sum link, but I apologize. I get the sense that rolling out 4G services is more challenging than 3G and might account for the teething problems. Make we dey look. cheers |

dustmalik: You guys are quite lucky. In Zone 2, no coverage yet. By the way, -97 dBm is terrible as far as signal strength is concerned. You can't achieve the available network speed at any point in time unless signal strength is at least -69 dBm. I really hope they expand their sites all over Abuja. I just feel we may be greatly disappointed. Hello Chuckdee, what phone are you using, please? |

Phones › Re: Mobility Arena Founder Is Celebrating 11 Years Of Tech Blogging by onyema1D: 9:17am On Apr 20, 2016 |
dsnet: We are still celebrating 11 years of funtastic tech blogging by Mobility Arena founder, Yomi Adegboye AKA Mister Mobility. We hope that you will get inspired by this legend of Nigeria's tech scene.
Mr. Mo has a Master's degree in Architecture from the University Of Lagos. He started out in tech as a self-taught webmaster in 2002. Then he started a reseller web-hosting business that grew to become one of Nigeria's top hosting firms, then DomainStandard.net. He grew this into a reseller web-hosting business that became one of Nigeria's top hosting firms.
The success of http://DomainStandard.net , the hosting biz, was mostly because of Mister Mo's use of mobile tools. He decided to start sharing about his use of mobile gadgets and services. And so in 2004, he started blogging. Back then, he hand-coded his early blog posts in HTML/xHTML. When WordPress gained traction, he switched to a WordPress-powered blog. in 2008, he started Mobility Nigeria, which has since been renamed Mobility Arena.
CONGRATS MR MO
Eventually, Mr. Mo sold his web-hosting biz and embraced digital media fully. At a time when bloggers were largely ignored by big brands, Brands like Nokia and BlackBerry acknowledged his outstanding work and began to send him devices - flagship devices - both for review and for keeps. It was a first in Nigeria.
Mr. Mo has been invited to speak at tech events in Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana. Newspapers, magazines, TV shows, radio shows and online platforms have featured him extensively over the years. also, a number of tech bloggers and key players in Nigeria today cut their teeth under his tutelage. His work has seen MobilityArena.com hold its ground as the largest and foremost tech blog on the African continent.
In 2014, both Mr. Mo and Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA) became Nescafe Africa Influencers, making them the first Nigerian tech bloggers to be so endorsed by a brand. For three years in a row, Mr. Mo has been a recipient of YNaija/Ndani TV's YTech100 award for his contributions to the Nigerian technology space.
Mr. Mo has remained a very youthful person and continues to inspire a generation of young people to excellence. He continues to be involved in youth development through various organisations and initiatives. Thank you for celebrating with us.
