Politics › Native Compound In Aba. What Prospect Landlord Promised Me by onyfrank(op): 9:43am On Mar 09, 2016 |
Its prevalent in Aba, where you will see some houses with the Inscription 'Native Compound,' even 'Native Store.' These houses where owned by the indigenes, predominantly N. . ..s It happened that i was looking for an apartment, one of these house agents took me to a newly built house in a large compound. We met the Landlord, on our course of discussion he promised me that if ever i parked in in his house, that i will never pay electricity bill untill when i decided to park out. I wondered why other people would paying but these indigenes won't pay. Even one of my gal friend complained that even in the house she resides, the Landlord never pay electricity bill, instead the tenants bear the brunt, inspite of the house has borehole. Please does this kind of senario happened in other states/city? |

Politics › Re: Why We Ignored Card Reader Reports In Election Cases – S’court by onyfrank: 7:09am On Feb 07, 2016 |
Asiri1991: I was told same in Ogbia, Bayelsa during INEC training. The reason is simple to comprehend. There is a legislative provision for Voters' Register and none for Card Reader. Think of a unit in ward 3, Ogbia which was configured for a different unit. No admin across the sea. As a presiding officer, would you disenfranchise a unit when you have the register and the incident forms. We can press for the card reader in subsequent amendment of the Electoral Act. For now, the supreme court is godly. during last year Governoship election, Jega said, where card reader failed, the election should be shifted to the next day. During the election tribunal in Abia state, none of the witnessed testified that card reader failed. They all testified that card readers were used. Then y should the SC give their judgement in this state base on manual accreditatiön? |

LFJ: It is not a must that you or any of your family must vote. Card reader is not for anybody and it is not against anybody. Those who are crying against card reader are those who think that the card reader dashed their hope of rigging the last election. Crying on nairaland will not help your situation. The fact that you are not happy with the card reader is irrelevant. I am happy with the card reader, my family is happy, given the same opportunity I will vote in favor of anything that will prevent election rigging. u can go ahead and do ur voting but as for me and those around me na NO MORE |

I weep for this country. I have never engaged my time, thought and resources before as i did in the last concluded general election in 2015 because i thought the era of election malpractice would be brought to minimal. I can recall that when my Principal was adviced by one of his friends to indulge in election rigging in other to scale through in his bid to become an elected candidate in the state, my Principal rejected it vehementjy that with the introduction of Card Reader and so called Jega/Inec integrity, it wouldn't be an easy adventure for those planing to rig election this time. We dwelt on that premise until now that it has dawn on us that we were deceived and were living on false hope.
Why should Jega/Inec deceive me with the introduction of Card reader, knowing fully well that it is not legal? Why should Jega/Inec waste the resources of this country injecting millions of Naira into technology, that yeilded no good result? Jega/Inect deceived me again when he made his baseless statement before April 11th poll, that where Card Reader failed, the election should be shifted to the next day. I relied on this pronouncement, went to the poll, with the assurance that there would be no room for election malpractice, but lo and behold I was wrong. The almighty Card Reader was jettisoned and all maner of irregularities was employed.
I will not VOTE again in anything election in this country. I will never encourage my kids, friends, acquitances to do so(vote) if Jega/inec was not brought to justice for deceiving me. |

Adminisher: Thank you. Our first landlord in 1969 in Lagos was an Ibo man. Extremely hard working, living in Enugu . I still marvel at Nigeria as an old man now when I recall just 11 months after civil war a man like that could take his hard earned property and still be making money from it . No Yoruba man disturbed or stole Ibo properties like it happened in Porthar court. Most of the nice 3 and 4 star hotels in Abuja are owned by Ibos. It will be theirs for ever. I was in the thick forest of Ilara, Lagos State last month and low and behold a Bayelsa man was there talking about doing fish farming in partnership with the natives. No body can challenge you on surface land rights to farm or live if you have ownership
People are just LYING to you. Abeokuta people cannot hold Nigeria to ransom for cement that is coming from their land. It is the Federal Government property licensed to Dangote. Ajaoukuta, NigerIan should have been making $5bn every year from this if the project had worked . No Igbira or Okenne man can do rubbish. Everything below SIX feet is the FG's. c argument. tell ur FG to come and suck my stool na, bkus its even 20ft down in my toilet suckaway. Na their own, it almost filled up |
