I have always wondered too. Since there is no contact between foundation blocks and the continuation blocks because of the nylon. It would appear the building is suspended and not have firm grip on the foundation. This is not actually true. But looking at it in-depth, the columns and beams are what actually hold the building and very little weight goes to the blocks. Which are still rested on the beams anyway..

So the advantage of having the damp proof membrane ( nylon) outweighs the effect of the negligible air gap at that joint.

Thanks for this eye opener. Seem I understand the basis now, I use to think is the sand and cement mixture applied at each block edges that bind the building. So you mean the entire building is only sitting on the foundation but the column and beam provide the support

Good evening, I was told its good to use water proof membrane (nylon) after foundation, can this be done on a foundation without German floor,
If this is possible Will they continue laying block on a nylon without joining the foundation block, how will the building be gum to to foundation with this approach pls enlighten me ,

Please how much is the cost of gearbox and which one fit for corolla 2003, I want to have an idea of what exactly I am buying before engaging the mechanic

Drain out the oil and look for fluide AT42 from Total. It's Dexron III. The reason why I am always recommending Total is because it's mostly in original form, not adulterated. I have shouted many times that we should flee from the red cans ATF. They don't even know what they produced. Don't even use it as power steering fluid. You can also use Oando Dex 111 but never 11. The Dex 11 is not electronic controlled, it is for 1996 Camry. Mobil ATF 220 is also suitable for the Corolla

Thanks for this great insights, i did exactly as you suggested but it seem the damaged have been done already, my mechanic drained out the fluid and used AT42 , well the jerking have stopped but the car is entering neutral on its own when on drive of which the mechanic said I may need to change the entire gear as nothing could be done. Please what is your opinion sir.

What is the recommended atf for corolla 2003 though the deep stick indicated dexreon 11/111 my mechanic top my transmission fluid few weeks ago with dexron 111 with black and red cans after the fluid fall below the low guage but everything seem to be ok at first but recently I notice gear not selecting properly again, and when shift to drive or reverse it make one annoying sound. Then the car now make too much noises when start and when drive. What is your advice
