My people perish for lack of knowledge (not lack of prayers) |
Even the FG needs millions of hectares across Nigeria so that those NYSC and idle soldiers and a chunk of rank and file policemen will be drafted into what can be called "FARM FORCE". This is how to make Nigeria to feed West Africa and also make food to be the cheapest commodity in the market Click LIKE if you feel me |

I don't know what is happening to this generation of fans. Blackface complained that his songs were taken and sang by 2Face. The next thing everyone starts saying it's Bitterness and envy that is worrying Blackface. That he should go and compose another hit song! That is the most unreasonable and unimaginable statement in the world. So he shouldn't complain! He shouldn't be compensated? Anyway, I don't even listen to worldly songs. But fair is fair |
HOW TO MOVE FROM A JOB-SEEKER TO A JOB-CREATOR 1. Work to learn- Whatever Job you are taking should primarily be the one that will afford you the opportunity to master as many vital relevant skills that you will need to be independent as quickly as possible. If you are a secretary that wants to set up a Consultancy firm, then you must prefer a low paying secretary job in consultancy firm that looks like it rather than a big salary paying job. There are so many persons who worked for decades but became redundant and misfits for any other work. They sacrificed their dream companies/businesses on the altar of salaries. 2. Master the Art of Selling- The greatest business skill on earth is how to convince people to take actions that they wouldn't have ever taken. That is selling. That is also called managing people. Search all those who are poor in life, they are poor marketers. They hate to sell anything even themselves. Or they have nothing to sell. But consider a man who is a Success in any field, and you would know he is a Master-Salesman. Be it in Politics, In Sports, in Academics, in Ministry, in Manufacturing or in Entertainment etc. The number 1 thing you sell is yourself. The number 2 thing you sell is your services. When you don't make yourself NEEDED, you will always be in NEED. Quote me anywhere.3. Find an Under Served Market-segment and package a business to serve them:- For instance years back, I saw that in Abuja almost all architects were using hand to draw and use tracing paper to trace them out. I was very good with that kind of drawing. In fact it was my hobby. But I learnt of a new soft ware called AutoCAD. So I paid someone to train me. Then I went into the City and placed several gigantic banners for AUTOCAD training. I didn't know it was against the law to place banners then. But the boldness with which I did it made people think I must be a highly connected man to have done that. They didn't know the venue: "NASS quarters Business Centre" was just an arrangement I had with a man I just met the previous day. From then I knew that if you are bold enough, even fear will fear you fearfully. That training attracted too many professionals even from the military circles. I built my house after then ![]() The point there is that you need to search out a very hungry group of customers and meet their need with superb service/product. 4. Work for free now if that is the only way to learn what you need to achieve your dream. If you offer to work for free in any company for a period of time, it is hard for any CEO or company to turn you down. The story I narrated in number 3 above, do you know what I was in Abuja to do? I was there to work for CCECC for free!!! They were building the NCC Headquarters near Transcorp Hotel (Nicon Nuga). The NCC project from the picture I saw was a marvellous Cylindrical Structure that President Obasanjo saw in China and bought the plans and engage the Chinese to build same for him for National Communications Commission NCC. When I saw they were just starting it, I vowed to myself that I MUST be part of this project. I offered to work for free. The Project Manager a Chinko guy agreed at once. I resumed the next day. That was where I mastered Batching plant technology. How to pump wet concrete from a far distance to the entire construction point. How to use equipment to bend quantum number of rebars, how to hire and fire on site etc. After then I have done several gigantic projects with Germans, Russians, Europeans, etc. But no longer free but I used the first to ground my teeth in the field. Happily today I own my own construction company www.daystarshelter.com |

Convert Research to Result! How can a Nigerian with PhD in Mechanical orElectrical Engineering be doing research and they take light and he curses the Government then goes out to on I-better-pass-my-neighbour Generator made by young Japanese boys who never graduated! So many Professors who are Professing nothing! |
Now I know |
My younger sister (3rd Person after me) is a Lecturer in Law was also affected. Her last salary was paid by Gov Wada. It wasn't even before his leaving self. That Gov used the old database to apply for Bailout funds, and he met all the conditions. But the APC FG said Wada would use it for his reelection. I was among those who saw sense in it then. We joined hands to kick out a Gov that was notorious for paying half salaries. Most of us Igala Professionals of the opinion that let a non-Igala be Governor of Kogi to teach our Leaders how to govern. Alas! Now this is the 'Youth' Gov! The people always deserve the Leaders they get. Always! Never blame God because He is ALWAYS blameless! |

Good points raise. Let me add these:- 1. The fast construction process is not what is wrong. 2. Building directly on the sand is not bad either. If not on sand, where else should construction be done? Is it Mud, Clay or Peat? 3. The Point raised by the Poster centres around how people Sandfill their sites today and commence construction the following week without allowing for sufficient compaction and consolidation, the rush to start construction which makes the foundation to settle at the speed of light. Every building settles over a long period. But good engineering practice makes the settlement to be 1. Uniform and 2. Minimally negligible. After sand-filling a water-logged area, you need to allow it to rest for rains to fall on it well. You need to engage Compacting machines to do justice in it. This would mean that the weight of the building won't affect it. |

Thank You Mr Governor. You Excellency, for all the accidents and traffic they have caused due to how drivers fear them, I hereby offer to convert their large office near Ojodu into a world class Secondary School for African Exchange Programme with other secondary schools in Africa. Well done. |

Too bad |
How I wish we can get something bigger than this. Maybe 300 plots |
The land is too expensive. Divide it into plots of 950sqm and you get roughly about 6 plots. Then divide N1.2b by 6 plots and you get N200m. That is Ikoyi prices not lekki 1. So as an agent you don't just take any price from land owner and go to market. Try to get the best price because developers like me who worked for their money will do analysis b4 calling your line. |
Storyland Storyland! They talk as if they will use the money to build roads or railway lines or other things. They just want to use their money to expand their facilities to get bigger exploitation of our lands. Even at that they engage companies from their country to do those works. So the money doesn't smell Nigeria. Most of those useless MOUs that Nigerian Governors and Ministers go to China etc to sign same thing. They borrow you and I and our great grand children billions. Nigeria doesn't smell the money. Their companies come to build those things. The pain is that most of those projects don't even see the light of day. |
Thanks all |
ugo99:Upload your own certificate here. I only show mine to my client not to all passerbyes |
sychadelly:The price isn't fair enough. And buy newly manufactured cement in that case you are 100% sure it's not stayed too long to expire by then. Though cement is not like gala that can easily expire in weeks |
