Earlier Today, I made this post but I was shocked to notice that it was deleted by the Moderators for reasons best known to them. I consider such act as "Inconsiderate"
I need your advise on this matter please: I've been a teacher for quite some time now. Infact, I have taught in Nine schools in four different states of the country.
A parent approached me to hold private lesson for his two children in JSS2 and SS2. It was in July last year. The children are from a different sch not students of the school I work in. There were Boarders so we started the lesson during the holiday (long vacation 3rd term). Their Driver would drive them to the venue(my sch) in the morning & pick them in the afternoon when we are done. The lesson starts at 9am to 2pm. It was four times a week. I would teach Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology for the SS2 child, then Maths, English Language and computer for the JSS2 student. I was been paid 19k for this service.
This year, the parents decided to change them from Boarding to Day sch so as to monitor them closely. So This time, the lesson now holds only on Saturdays in the Boys House from 9am to 2pm where I also teach the aforementioned subjects. I'm being paid 12k for this service. Now whenever they are having their C.A.T, I would do revision on all other subjects to ensure they do well academically.
Here is my complaint: Robbers attacked my house in broad daylight while I was at work and looted all my properties. This happened early last month. I called to tell the father of the boys. The man called and sympathised with me, encouraged me and told me to be strong & that God would make me recover all that I lost. His wife did not call or messaged me. Even when I went to the house for the lesson, she still didn't say anything in that regard. I was so shocked that a woman whom I teach her children would act in such manner.
Again, just two weeks ago, I fell sick and couldn't go. I sent a text to the boys father, he didn't reply & didn't call either. When I got there last Saturday, he asked of my health and I said I was now ok. Again, this woman still didn't ask of my health. Nairalanders, I'm still very surprised that human beings would be this insensitive and callous to people's wellbeing.
I want to stop the lesson. There's no denying the fact that Labour as a factor of production has "Feelings" and humans are the labourers

Exactly. I don't even know how Buhari and Tinubu think. Their thought process is so terrible to say the least. They show their lack of intelligence. Why the 8k Palliative in the first instance? What will 8k do for a family/household in a month? Money that would be Looted. Nigeria has no accurate database system so I wonder how the poor people will be identified.
Why not use that 8k to build refineries and reduce the petrol price. If petrol price is reduced, cost of living will invariably improve
