That is how one nurse almost killed during nysc because she claimed to know more that d nysc doctor . I spent more days in the hospital flushing out d drug she administered as i had a bad reaction to it .

The family of a girl, Confidence Nwanma, allegedly killed by her boyfriend has declared that the killer boyfriend must marry the corpse of the deceased in line with the tradition of the family.

Nwanma was allegedly stabbed to death last week by her boyfriend Saliu Ladayo at Oshinle area of Akure, the Ondo State capital following a disagreement that ensued between them. The alleged killer has, however, been arrested by the men of the Ondo State Police Command.

The deceased’s father, Mr. Jude Nwanma, who spoke with journalists at their residence at Oke Aro, Akure, said the traditional rites must be performed in their hometown in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State before burying the late daughter.

Nwanma explained that failure to perform the traditional rites would bring calamity to the family of Ladayo.

He said,

“In our place, it is mandatory that the man must marry the corpse of our daughter killed in cold blood. We must perform the normal traditional rites by taking the corpse to our village where the marriage would take place.

“It is mandatory that he pays everything in double the normal way because he brought our daughter dead for marriage. He would perform all the traditional rites before our family would let him go. This is because, without this traditional rites, every young person from the family of the boy would never get to the age of our daughter, but must die a sudden death just like our daughter.

“This is not our making, it is the tradition of our ancestors even before we were born. Our people all over the world are waiting for the court judgment. Any way it goes, the boy must perform the marital rites to our daughter’s corpse before anything.

Meanwhile, the killer boyfriend, Ladayo, who was paraded at the headquarters of the state police command, said the devil pushed him to kill his girlfriend, Confidence.

Narrating how the incident happened, the 24-year-old man said, ”

When she came to my house, some people on the street had earlier told her that I came to the house with another woman. She was so annoyed with me that she started cursing me that if I make love with another girl, I won’t make it in life.

“She left and when she came back to me later, I asked her to forgive me and reverse the curses but she refused and I seized her phone. We were both inside dragging the phone and I didn’t know what came over me, I just went to take a knife and stabbed her to death.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph said the suspect would soon appear in court.

The former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olisa Metuh was in tears on Monday while his doctor explained to the judge his health condition.

This was during his resumed trial in an Abuja High Court.

Metuh is facing trial for alleged diversion of N400 million received from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

The doctor during the continuation of Metuh’s trail on Monday told the trial judge, Justice Okon Abang, why Metuh needs top be flown abroad for treatment.

Justice Abang in his reaction said the court will seek the opinion of the Chief Registrar of the court on the recommendations of the doctor.

The trial judge also rebuked Metuh’s counsel, Emeka Etiaba, for his ‘rudeness’ to the court.

He said the court had refused Etiaba’s application for withdrawal of the case. He added that Etiaba’s refusal to answer some questions asked by the court is compounding issues before the court and this is considered rude.

Etiaba during the trial had earlier expressed disapproval after the Justice Abang overruled his application for withdrawal of the case. This was after Metuh collapsed in court trying to make his way to the dock.

Etiaba said he cannot go ahead with the trial when his client is lying on the floor. He noted that his client is obviously ill and has been confirmed by the medical personnel of the court.

The trial judge, however, continued with the trial even though Metuh was still on the floor. He insisted that Metuh’s counsel call his eleventh witness in the trial and also overruled the application by Metuh’s Counsel.

According to the trial judge, Etiaba’s application for withdrawal of the case is an attempt to delay the matter.

The case was then adjourned to May 22 for the continuation of trial.

Would next year applicants access the information that would be posted on the group? If this thread had moved to whatsapp since 2016 it was created, many people wouldn't be here in the first place and valuable/previous experience/mistakes of last year applicants would not be available. Unlike Nairaland where you can read through previous year experience.

Bottom line: We've always been sticking to this thread but as time goes on (during school application) You can open different schools group on whatsapp to access basic and rapid information about submission of transcript and others.

OAU as my first choice and UNILORIN as my second choice .
And am thinking of obtaining OAU AND UNILORIN post utme for DE student.
Please everyone I need your advice
How is my chance of gaining admission into both school of my choices

1stly ; Sorry to say, U only had one chance here cox u can't select Federal University as 2nd choice cox most federal universities does not used to consider 2nd choice applicants for admission.

2ndly : Being an indigene of d state, with ya good grade u have upper chance of being admitted provided u pass their Entrance exam.
Note: OAU is highly competitive But may God grant u d Favour of men.
