I really don't think traveling to multiple countries could contribute to an application being refused provided you're not spending an unreasonable amount of time out of the country/from work. If you're able to do multiple countries within your granted leave or your personal time off, it shouldn't be a problem. In 2023, I did UK Thrice(at different times), France, Greece, Amsterdam, Italy and my US Visa was approved. All that matters is you're not spending too much time away from Work/Family as they serve as ties.

Every country count in terms of travel history. Your purpose of visit is of utmost importance.

U.S. embassy never label any country as a not sufficient country to travel to. We are the ones labeling countries as poor or local. If the United States government can have an embassies in Ghana, Togo. Uganda etc then such country is a sovereign nation.

■ If Nairaland Nigeria sends you to Ghana, South Africa and Togo on official errands within 3 - years. You will have a better travel history than a multimillionaire who have been to Canada, UK and Germany for holidays or unnecessary funs.

May be you are underrating Nairaland. Okay if NNPC Nigeria sends you as a representative- staff to attend conferences in the aforementioned countries in the span of 3 years, dont you think you have a good travel history and purpose than a self-made traveler who visits Canada, Germany and UK for holiday ?

Nowadays, traveling unnecessarily to all countries without any reasonable reasons makes you a suspect at the U.S embassies.

United States government have changed their games with terrorists, fraudsters, money launderers, etc. These people are well-educated , they have scientists, they have lots of money to spend and their major weapon is networking. How do they network ? By communication and traveling.

■ Now tell me how will you not be screened and focused on at the U.S embassy when you have travelled to 5 countries for fun/pleasure within 2 years ?

I believe they want a bank statement free from minor credits, even if it’s a bank reversal.
I don’t understand the income and family part.

Just annotate when it left your account and when it returned on the statement.

Hello guys, please what's an appropriate way to justify/explain a transaction reversal of 55,000 Naira, recently credited to my salary account?

Please chase this up, the referenced money makes no sense. They refused me, then my solicitor submitted a PAP, and they re-refused me again. They kept shifting the goal post. I chased it to a point where they couldn’t come up with a defensible refusal ground and if I took it to the court, they’d have had to pay my fees. Even after their legal department told them it wasn’t defensible, the ECO and ECM were still moving mad. I’ve attached their internal notes I got when I requested for my files and comment via subject access request. They overturned that refusal.

I think they were angry that I dragged them to their Home Office superiors, I sent a letter via DHL to Home Office Secretary, that one may have written them why they made error in a visa review and the individual sent a letter to the office, because the same day DHL delivered the letter where I blasted the Entry Clearance Officer and their impotence, that same day, an email from the Visa Head in Home Office wrote me that they were sorry about the refusal and would review it, now they did and they say 12,000 naira and 4,000 naira were credits on the account, after telling them this funds were transfers I made but were reversed due to bank outages.
Me I don’t care, I’ll dragged them, thank God I’ve the email of UK ambassador in Lagos, I sent a letter to that one officer, he sent me a mail also. I’ll be copying them in the email, even if I don’t get the visa, I’ll drag them until this their credit and debit rubbish they do stop.
I made a transfer of 12,000 naira and my bank reversed it, it now showed as deposit, you are saying it’s an unknown funds, can’t you see it’s reversed funds, the initial transfer is there but you can’t see it, just the reversal.
I don’t know if UK banks don’t reverse funds if the transfer is not successful. I just think it’s rubbish talk.
It’s just like a format, if you have any credit except your salary, Oya flag it. If it was a transfer I would even understand.

The image is hard to read, did the ECO just cite #12,000 and #4000 as transfers that they couldn’t ascertain the origin? That makes absolutely no sense. Also, why would your reservation still be valid after they’ve refused your initial application?

Well, the money transfer receipts would help to show she’s been consistently supporting you. I don’t know what to say about the other aspect

1 month might seem dodgy. Better to use 6 months to show how you’re being supported here. You could annotate transfers from your mom on your bank statement too.

It’s okay to use the booking. You don’t have to pay for anything.

I had my appointment on the 11th and got a “Ready for collection” SMS and email today. That’s their typical timeline but I was scared because this is peak season and I anticipated a delay. But I got the visa…..it’s my 4th Schengen visa though, and 3rd France visa. They gave me 6months multiple entry with 90days stay

So I guess you can only tell when you go pickup. Once there’s no paper in your envelope, it’s likely approved.

Doesn’t work like that for visa applicants. They expect you to have something to return to after your trip. They even have a problem with you spending four times your disposable income, not to talk of wanting to spend all your savings.

It doesn't work like this. You can decide to spend your entire savings in one day. Savings is meant to be spent anyways. It is a common culture in developed countries for people to save towards holidays. Infact travelling is a normal thing for them. As long as the source of funding and how the trip would be funded is explained and in line with your financial circumstances e.g. employment, business etc you should be fine.

Well, like I said people have gotten CA visa without travel history and would still get. It could be 10/1000.

It’s mostly about how the 50m was made. Also, they don’t find it credible that you could be that successful and have never gone anywhere for business or vacation in the past. It’s safe to note people have gotten visas with no prior travel history.

I’m saying they should have factored the standard processing time (fifteen working days/three weeks) before submitting the application. Makes no sense withdrawing now cos they should receive a decision soon

Maybe this person you referred had a previous Canadian refusal(an assumption), or maybe her case was just different.

I got my Canada visa in two weeks earlier this year with a Valid US Visa. My timeline is here on this thread. So many people here have gotten theirs within the same timeline too.
