Their Personal Circumstances is more important than your sponsorship. They have to qualify for it if the sponsorship is taken away.

I made two visit Applications in 2018/2019, but both were refused. I gave it a break, tried again in 2022, and it was refused again.

A UK solicitor prepared the 2022 application. I submitted about 589 pages of documents, and the ECO didn’t check my documents at all because it was a lot, and the refusal could have been avoided.

We decided to challenge the refusal.

Submitted the Visit Application in June 2022- Refusal in September 2022. Refused under 4.2 (a) (c) and (e).


1st PAP sent October 2022, Home Office agreed to reconsider the application, and they’d reach out within three months. The application was re-refused in January 2023. ECO agreed I had funds, so the refusal under Paragraph (e) was rescinded but refused on other grounds that weren’t credible.

2nd Pap sent in February 2023, Solicitor argued the ECO could not continue shifting the goal post, that since I met the requirements under Paragraph(e), it made no sense to refuse under (a/c) when my travel history is considered. The Home Office agreed to reconsider the application.

Last Tuesday, I got an email to re-submit my passport that the refusal was overturned. I submitted it on Wednesday.

I got a pickup email on Friday.

I picked up my passport today with a six months visa.

It took nine months to get them to overturn the decision, and it cost £2700.

You can now easily complain about your visa decision on the UKVI webite. It's a new service and it doesn't cost you any money.

Bros, Write a detailed email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk Tell them how they've made a mistake with your application and how everything on the refusal letter has nothing to do with you. Include a copy of the refusal letter too. If your assertions are true, It will be resolved with no financial recourse to you.

I am thinking of sending a paid mail to them and also sending a letter written by my lawyer through DHL to the British embassy in Lagos. Before I sold the land in feb I had bout 2.3 after selling the land I had about 22m which I bought a car for my wife and and did an investment for 6.5 which all receipts and certificate of investment where included in my application.

Finally I applied with a balance of 2.420 in June

Pls i need an honest and urgent advise on a bothering issue.I applied for Uk tourist Visa is Dec 2020 through an agent who did everything that needed to be done,all i did was just go for submission…By January i picked up my passport and i was refused,i asked the agent why and he told me it’s because of the 2nd Covid lockdown,he didn’t forward the refusal letter to me because he didn’t use my email,he created a new one to that effect.
I got an offer in Uk and while i was filling a form,i am to answer a question on if i had been denied before which is YES,and i was asked to upload the refusal letter which i didn’t have.
I reached out to the agent and after about 4days of trying to retrieve the email addy he used,he dropped the letter yesterday and the reason for refusal is completely different from what i was told,it turned out to be something on ‘deception’ as stated in the refusal letter.
Right now i honestly don’t know if it’s ok to go ahead with my application which is for September intake,i just want to know what my chances are,and what can be done to fix this error.Has anyone had similar issue,how was it resolved?

Trust me my account statements was very straightforward.

The only transaction into the account are my monthly salary, quarterly allowance, mid year allowance and yearly upfront which was clearly stated in the statement and my payslip and offer letter.

The only transaction apart from the above is the consulting fees paid by a client. I also attached my CAC documents which registered the company since 2016. Contract letter from my clients with details of amount paid.

Am 95% sure those people are confused, they are human and prone to error.

If UK refuse me tourist visa, i have other lovely countries to go jare.

SA, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco or Mexico is nit a bad idea after all na my money are wan go spend.

If you're reapplying, You'd have to explain and probably give proof for the referenced large deposits in this account

This isn't true. Please watch "Border security America's frontline" Europeans/British first-timers are denied entries when they do not have a job/ties to their countries. Returning ones who had previously stayed past their declared time are returned. You cannot stay in America for 3 months on ESTA, exit and come back weeks after. That would be termed living in the USA which isn't allowed. Most times, their ESTA privileges are canceled, and they'll be requiring a visa to visit the USA.

Staying for 3 months does not mean he did something wrong. There is no law that says you cannot stay in the USA, as long as you do not overstay your welcome. European citizens with ESTA stay the whole period they are eligible to stay and still come back weeks later for another visit. All because he is Nigerian that stayed for some months he is being profiled. However,if he has a tangible explanation to back up the stay its all good. To be Nigerian is a hassle,no country respects us but its a wake up call to the citizenry.

In Judicial Review, once the claims has been filed, the home office legal department either conceded ( negotiates ) or file their document called the acknowledge of service (let's meet in court). Once again, you are contesting the LEGALITY of the DECISION MADE I.E were the rules followed? If found wanting, the court would order them to reassess the application and they'd pay your legal fees. It's the same way you pay theirs if you lose. I respect you a lot sir, you've been helpful to literally everyone on this thread but on this very argument, You don't know quite well about it. Off course non exist and that tells all you need to know, all the info you get online are from solicitors and not a single official website mentioning it.

Solicitors have to make a living so i don't blame them, if you are refused a non-immigration visa is either you reply and address the refusal or you send letter of complain/reconsideration to the embassy or you waste your money with solicitors claiming to help you with judicial review while they basically write the UKBA to reconsider their decision.

Done with this though.

It doesn't just end at submitting the " Pre Action Protocol " Letter. I have seen people win these claims and the home office was responsible for their legal fees cos the loser pays the winner's fees but if you believe it's non existent then its fine.

While there isn't an official link from the gov.uk, a google search would show you hundreds of people that have had their refusal overturned. In Judicial Review, Judge reviews the lawfulness of a decision or action made by a public body. They would not issue the Visa nor tell the home office to issue the Visa but they'd order the home office to reassess the application in accordance with the Visit Guidance if found wanting.

Dude your solicitor is sending letter of reconsideration to the HomeOffice and not judicial review, anybody can do this and still get positive/negative result.

These solicitors will give you the impression that you can appeal visa refusal or go for Judicial review and you pay then they write letter of reconsideration.

You are wasting your money with solicitor because anybody can send a letter to immigration asking for reconsideration about seemly unfair visa refusal

You can't take the homeoffice to court for tourist visa refusal

i went to TLS Lagos V.I. but they simply said "its not in our hands, its completely on UKVI". once UKVI send any information they will immediately pass on to me.
i have opted for "Keep My Passport" service, they have not even asked me to submit the passport till now.
TLS said "once UKVI will advise them to collect passport from me, they will send e-mail to submit passport".

Was there anything attached to the concluded email? Have you checked your email? They should have sent the Passport Request/Refusal Letter to your email.
