An open source independent verification is one where a third party carries out the business/employment verification for them. Does this business exist? Did your friend submit payslips or any documents from the company? |

Micafe:First. I think one of you made a mistake with the figures. 950k a month is £2,034 while the ECO stated £22k+ a month. There's a discrepancy with that figure. Also, it seems your claimed salary does not reflect on either of your statements. I think it would have flied if you had stated you pay yourself from the profit earned. I know how the business thing works and i might be wrong but its safe to guess you TAKE/SPEND MONEY OUT OF EITHER ACCOUNTS WHEN YOU NEED TO or DO YOU PAY YOURSELF THIS FIGURE EVERY MONTH? I'm not a pro and Justwise would have a better advise to give but the best thing would be to reapply. Your application is solid coupled with a good traveling history, the only thing that has to be figured out is the finances. |

Predstan: You can enter Ethiopia without a Visa. Is the airline offering you an hotel? They did when i used them a couple years ago and i didn't require a Visa. |

geekybabe: There's a transit hotel, so staying at the airport isn't the issue. I read transit Visa isn't required if you'd be staying at the airside. I have mailed both embassies in Nigeria though. If only they had the priority service. Applying for a visa now is not feasible. |

hi everyone, has anyone here ever talked their way through South Africa immigration without a visa? I know its unrelated to the post but i haven't been able to find anything helpful on this. Traveling to Mauritius, feb 12 with my gf, South African Airlines Business class, there's a 19 hrs stop over on the way back and it would be too long to spend in the transit hotel. Its too late to apply for a visa because it takes forever to receive a decision. Has anyone ever been lucky to talk their way into being allowed into the country for a couple hours? I have visited the country in the past 2013 and i didn't violate their visa terms. Thanks |
