The 2024 on the birth certificate is the ISSUANCE Date, not the DOB. It cannot be a typo because it was indeed issued in 2024 although the baby was born in 2020. NPC will not backdate the issuance date. Poster should explain circumstances surrounding the loss and provide stuff to confirm they’re indeed the parent. Like I said, it’s not hard at all. Seen it plenty times on the student thread.
MrSoftlife:

The issue now is that UKVI sent a message recently asking why a kid that was giving birthday to over 4yrs ago is having date of 2024 on birth the certificate which is the date the birth certificate was issued. Also to explain the document i submitted to obtain this new birth certificate.

I think from his explanation it is straightforward that it was a typo from NPC/hospital and asking whoever issued that document to issue the right one. Yes, he can add a court affidavit that the first document was misplaced to backup his claims.

PS: They already queried his application and doubting his intention that it was a fake document that was submitted. Someone has to take the blame for it.

I’ve seen stories like this on the student section. You could ask there and I’m sure you’d get help. Your case is pretty straightforward tho. People misplace their BC every time since there’s no digital record or storage. An affidavit should help. But then, telling them why you had to get a new one and adding proof that shows you’re indeed the parents works too.
mrnatural:

Thanks but I intend getting an affidavit from high court and also a police report to back it up. But I’m already here in the UK
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Opeyemi007: 7:16pm On Jan 16
At all. The complicates it more. Why would NPC make that kinda mistake. The best thing is to say they lost the original BC and had to get a replacement from NPC. They could supply pictures from the naming ceremony, pictures from Preggy days with dates showing that period.
MrSoftlife:

Simply reply it is a typo error from NPC or the hospital and attach the right certificate.

I had 500k in my corporate account, submitted business docs(registration, invoice, balance sheet, previous visa copies, property docs and a visa support letter written by me. I couldn’t even upload everything as they were too large.

I’m sorry for your refusal. Did you submit a corporate account statement for the application?
talentarena:

So let me make this easy I did everything, I dedicated an account for this porpose, I handle all my visa my self and I know all that is required, its my 3rd application to the uk, and i have followed all the rejection letter to try to fix the issues they complain, I think this time was my tax cos I put everything I stated right, and i am not even trying to brag about my trip I am a tourist I mean like it's what I do, so I think the only issue was my tax, but I don't entend to try again, atleast my other visas can take me to every other country except the uk, so let's say I never got to visit the uk but I got to see every other dream country, except in the future if I can i invite I could try again but now, I guve up

If we're being honest, no one would feel comfortable posting their employer on NL
TeeD:

Congrats.

Guys, let's provide more critical information as that's the purpose for posting here. Stuff like, what you do for work, what took you to those countries (eg school,) how old are those other visas, etc are what helped your application significantly, and not disclosing them is not that helpful for those here. Try to be as descriptive as possible without doxxing yourself.

"Me and friend are planning to visit Niagara Falls... my friend's house in New York" will weaken the average person's visa application, but not for a profile like yours, hence the importance of those.

Note how the VO went further to ask for your old passport and verify your travel history, it meant they were still undecided until they saw the history, age, and status of those visas, and could as well have denied your visa application if you didn't have your old passport with you. Therefore, your interview wasn't that great, your travel history 'saved' you. Average folks with no travel history should not "visit a friend and 9/11 memorial" not gonna work, just saying.

PS: A friend's visa success didn't make sense to me until I found out they were born in the UK (shown on passport) and it obviously played a huge part.

Bro.. how long did it take for your visa to be issued after approval (on the day of interview)? More so, what’s the sequence like? Approved - admin processing and issued? Or approved to issued? I’ll be glad to receive a response from you. Thanks

When did you submit your applicatio?
Educhopper:
I think it varies kinda.
In my case my decision for approval was made days 4 days before now and passport requested. Just today I received a message from IRCC that my eligibility has been completed. Eventhough I just submitted my passport yesterday and waiting for pickup. Just be patient.

Please, who has an idea how long it takes for a decision to be made on a visit application after eligibility is completed? I had my biometrics last week Tuesday(2) and it show eligibility completed on the tracker yesterday. I qualify for the Can+ category cos of my Us visa. Just wondering if anyone has an idea. Thanks
Travel / Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Opeyemi007: 2:29pm On Jan 09
You probably have to send a web form for them to update your biometrics
Alvinbrownn:
I was wondering too if they have actually forgotten that we applied, I applied 1sth September 2023, and biometric done in 2020 still this very moment not heard from IRCC and my biometric have not been updated on my application, all I could see there is application submitted and in progress.

UK Airports May No Longer Require Travelers to Show Their Passports.

The next time you fly to the United Kingdom, you might be able to leave your passport safely tucked away in your bag. The nation’s airports will reportedly begin testing new facial recognition technology at “eGates” for arriving passengers, which would replace border control's standard physical passport check.

Seems like you’re projecting Egbon. You don’t know the circumstances surrounding the poster’s family. Your group appointment advise is spot on tho.
Bigkenny:

Once each French visa application has been completed for the 3 applicants, go to the TLScontact website to schedule a group appointment. Because of your travel history, you, your fiancee, and your fiancee's mom all qualify as frequent travelers by making one group appointment together.

Also, it will be nice to take one of your family members (especially your mom) along with you and don't be like my older brother, who doesn't think anything in life is important other than his wife, and his wife's parents.

His mother-in-law has visited Canada more than five times since he married his wife six years ago. He brought his wife to Canada through the student route and helped his wife's parents get a visa to attend his wedding in Canada, but he abandoned his own parents.

Now my mom is in the US for the past 2 months to visit my sister, but my brother has been crying like a little bitch because he asked my mom a question ''do you want to visit me in Canada'', my mom said no and told him to call his wife's parent to visit him.

@Opeyemi007 You do not have any US visa it's a lie . If you truly have the visa it cost you nothing to screenshot it on NL. Even if someone have a US visa does that qualifies him to be an expert in the process of the visa ?

I am a follower of @NewBoyKashoggi and i have been in contact with him, that man is a fantastic man and he is one of the genuine responders here . YESTERDAY , they seized his login password. God will soon start working on all of you .

# The only where you don't need an invitation letter for B1/B2 is when you are going for tourism ...perhaps you want to visit some places as a pleasure . If you are visiting individual or attending conference or you want to go and inspect something YOU NEED AN INVITATION LETTER . The CO may not ask for it but you need the letter to take along .

If you want to apply for the emergency appointment your invitation letter and your MRV payment receipt is what you will use to apply . @Opeyemi007. You do not have any USA Visa . If all of you have the visas as claimed then , What are you doing on Nairaland ? GO and give other new generation changers the way. All the applicants who went through your advise last year all got VISA REFUSALS .

@Opeyemi007. Are you working in the US embassy or how do you know or what makes you think that they won't ask for bank statement. ? Why do you people like to mislead prospective applicants with your over confidence ?

The person that is going on a visiting visa does not need an invitation letter so what is the evidence that such a person is being invited ?

What is the meaning of It Holds no water ? Are you a staff @ the US embassy ? Why did you not give solution to the original poster ? Foolish notice me.

Bros, It's my seventh year on this US travel thread, not one person has ever said they were asked for an invitation letter. An invitation letter holds no substance as anyone could write it for anyone. I was at the US embassy twice before I got my visa the third time, not one person was asked for an invitation letter even though more than forty people were interviewed on each of my visit.

You'd be asked for documents if applying for a study or medical visa. They do not ask for any doc for visiting. Quote me anywhere

Bros dem no de check bank statements and invitation letter for Visiting. They'll not even ask. It holds no water
NewBoyKhashoggi:

Hey 🤠

1. How to do Proof of Funds as a visitor going to the United States with his family is to show a bank statement in your name or your sponsor's name showing balance of account .

2. Yes, it is under a must for you to show or proof beyond reasonable doubts to the Consular officer that you or your sponsor have more than enough money to spend in the United States during your short visit .

3. Your in-law that you are visiting must write an INVITATION LETTER to you . That invitation letter is what you will tender to the US embassy or the Consular officer as evidence of the fact that your in-law is the one who invited you over for a short holiday . The Invitation letter should be the first thing to have in your hand before other process . Some may say it's optional but to me the letter is important .

Best Wishes 🙏

They’ll need naija passports since they do not have British passports.
brotherfranklyn:
Merry Christmas guys.

I am processing USA B1/B2 from UK.
We have two kids delivered here in the UK.

Do they need to have Nigerian passport to apply for the B1/B2? or will UK brp alone be OK, as both of them were born in the UK. Also must they use Nigerian passport to enter the USA? Or is there any kind of transit visa for kids.

FYI. My wife, I as well as my first issue have valid Nigerian passport and brp.

Oh ok. I got a five years US too, I’ll use it. Emailed tourism@bahamas.com yesterday to confirm I could use it. Thanks for letting me know. Mexico has stopped entry by UK visa btw. My friend couldn’t use hers this year, and had to get the visa at embassy here in Lagos.
Baba19:
No wahala, bro. We’re all here to help each other. I have a U.S. Visa so that’s what I used to enter Bahamas, Mexico, Jamaica and other Caribbean countries. But for Barbados, I didn’t need any visa at all. With UK visa, I believe you can enter Mexico freely as well.

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Opeyemi007: 10:00pm On Dec 15, 2023
Unrelated Brother, did you need a visa when you went to bahamas from the UK?
Baba19:
Amelia the oracle!!! Thank you sis. You still dey this market 😂😂😂😂

Nah your guidance and format I use that 2021 whey they give us visa after delaying us for more than 50 working days. Chai!!!

I used that visa twice that time. First time for one week and from London, I ja go Bahamas and then I returned again for another week and commot. I’m back for renewal now and hoping for the best.

That time, I had been to 14 countries. I’ve gone to more now. It’s now 21 so my travel history stand well. Business is still going well. I added all my documents- my previous visas, personal and business statements, savings statement which my wife keeps, documents for the home we own etc.

My downsides:
money for account no too dey.
Secondly, remember in the first application I made the mistake of thinking visa refusal question was about the last 10 years so I only declared cyprus refusal and didn’t declare the UK. but this time it is clear and I put the first and only Uk visa refusal I got there which is 17 years old. You can check my former posts as a reminder.

Abeg, advise a brother!
