Romance › Re: Being Single Can Be Frustrating by opribo(m): 12:19pm On Sep 20, 2010
@Tracey121

This is a typical example of what we are talking about everyday. You have set the standard of the kind of man that you want which is good but you forget that your man made wisdom is different from that of God. Since all you need is a child no problem, children can not be bought with money. If you want to have your own without a husband it is good afterall there are gigollos out there you can pay to have them fix you a baby. All said and done, just wait a little bit more the son of Bill Gate is coming to sweep you off your feet. Just wait some more maybe by 2011,2012 or who knows the right man will soon come. If in all of Naija no man is good enough then lets import from another country.

How I wish this shameless man will win and then the election annulled. Let him have a taste of what he did to Abiola. So he loves power. Truly the best thing we owe the bastard is to stone him to death. Rubbish thing

Removed two to replace one, he is still afraid, he needs to take more daring steps. He is the Commander in chief for crying out loud. Bleep the damn cabal. 3 things I expect him to do immediately.

1. Ban all past leaders from contesting 2011 elections including himself
2. Setup a task force PHCN and impose a sole administrator in that sector
3. Change the minister of works immediately for lack of performance on the Benin-Ore Road failure to do it himself should quit office for incompetence

Thank you

Romance › Re: Define A Modern Day Chic In A Sentence by opribo(m): 3:48pm On Sep 07, 2010
@Kabukabu

So you mean a modern day woman is that woman that will hand over her precious baby to a nanny from morning till night in search of money or men or are you saying the modern day woman is the one that is wearing a micro mini skirt in the office telling the whole world to see her g string.
please enlighten me. i don't really get it Mr kabukabu. When I say the ladies have lost I really mean it because you cant eat your cake and have it again. God never designed the women for the kind of things they are subjecting themselves to. That is why they are called the weaker sex. When a woman has a scar even you Kabukabu wont go near her. So why then wont they stay away from hard jobs and accept the lifetime work that has been bestowed on them. That is shaping the society through proper upbringing of the children. It doesn't portray us well in Naija to abandon our home grown and cherished values to be following the oyinbo man like zombie.  Our people have a saying that it is sweet to watch a mad man display but no one wants to have him as a brother. Can you keep a so called modern woman sleeping around with different men in the name of modern babe my foot. Ordinarily our ladies are good it is the undue influence from all this pervert societies that has affected our women, now they want to be naked before they are noticed. Modern day babe indeed.
Romance › Re: Define A Modern Day Chic In A Sentence by opribo(m): 8:03pm On Sep 06, 2010
@kabukabu

I am not surprised at all, it is men like you that has brought the whole peaceful universe to her knees now, if you are saying been nude, exposing ones boobs in the name of dressing is modern then i only have pity for you. i can give you many examples of exemplary who were great in their times yet commanded respect. Go through history you will see the role great women played and they were respected and honored for their roles. Education should not make an African woman a prostitute you will agree with me, neither should it make her forget that she is a woman. What is a woman without a husband and children of her own.
Let me tell you one thing, whether you like it or not the so called modern woman has lost her bearing she needs to go back to the basics. I am happy in Nigeria we still have Naija made girls little wonder when you people want to marry u sneak back home asking mama to find a good girl for you. You should have picked an akata babe and let her show you example of what a modern woman can do. Iranu shiooo
Romance › Re: Define A Modern Day Chic In A Sentence by opribo(m): 6:37pm On Sep 06, 2010
There is nothing like modern day chick,  she is a lost generation. Nothing makes her a woman anymore except her down below, every other thing in her is man like. She drives, she smokes, she tattoos, she clubs, she preaches in the pulpit even while in her menses, she plays football, she doesnt want to breast feed a baby anymore, she doesnt want to go to the open market unless it is shoprite, she wants men to bow for her, her default dress is jeans and spaghetti top, she doesn't cook eating out is the name of the game, she drinks like there is no tomorrow. she offers her hand for hand shake before a man. She slaps and fights. She is in charge.
Family › Re: Marriage: Is It About Making Babies Or About The Couples? by opribo(m): 8:24pm On Aug 24, 2010
@poster For me atleast give yourselves two at least one year to flex yourselves, enjoy your marriage before distractions starts coming i.e babies starts coming. For me they come with marriage and not the main reason for marriage.
Your opinions are welcome, what are your thoughts?

Marriage is for procreation PERIOD. Anything shout of that is evil. You can give yourselves some time to enjoy if you marry early say 25-27. Anything after that it must be purposeful and focus no time to play around.

in the days of old when the Prophet Elijah was around he challenged the prophets of Baal to a contest. So also I challenge all them pastors to a contest let the god the real prophet/pastor command the sun to stand still anyone that is able that is the one we shall believe. Minus that let them leave us alone.
Politics › Re: Prostitution Banned In Abuja by opribo(m): 10:14am On Jun 16, 2010
Was prostitution ever legalised anywhere in Nigeria. Please somebody tell me. Methinks this guy must be an extremist in government high position and he will stop at nothing to bring his ideology to bare. Mind you prostitutes are not his final target he is going somewhere. There are serious national issues begging for attention. Improve the economy, stamp out corruption, teach the kids good morals, and prostitution will be completely reduced to the barest minimum. Somebody tell him not to waste task payers money on wild goose chase. Them ministers spend billions importing prostitute from abroad.
mshewwwww, rubbish leaders no common sense just goat head them all

Christianity Etc › Re: A Born Again Christian Is Not A Sinner (even If He Sins) by opribo(m): 10:36am On May 04, 2010
I am tired of all these teachings that do not have any deep rooted foundation, in as much as I do not want to join issues with anybody can fellow NLanders leave these pastors and their teachings to their members who want to listen. Let no man bring them to a public forum to disturb our sensibilities. Anybody can chose to listen to anything and call it whatever but must you force it down on the rest of us. If you listen and you are hooked with the teaching good for you don't bring it to NL keep it in your house and let it work for you there because if you bring it here free borns will prove you wrong. I have heard them say praying for Christ's sake is wrong and I wonder whose name we should pray is it TB, Chris, or OOO or probably Shango. Man let me hear word. Another one said we should not make the sign of the cross but we can carry their picture around when they have crusade to hold. Na wa if men were God

Can we here from the wife as well to have a balanced judgement. Surprise a man of God will be quick to exonerate himself of any blame. Let the wife speak before i make my comment. Afterall Kris Okotie wife left him for the US and he quickly absolved himself of any blame so its a trend to keep the church intact before their wives spill the bean
