Kopec:That is a very good phone that you have. Sorry for the damage. If indeed the screen is the problem, it can be fixed. I want to suggest as follows: 1. Order for the replacement screen from China. 2. Buy what is known as tempered screen. This is a thick glass film to be glued to to surface of the new screen to help toughen the screen up to 8 times the hardness of an ordinary glass in event of a fall. 3. buy it's custom leather pouch, it also help protect the phone in event of a fall and in beautifying it as well. If you have problem in ordering, let me know ,I can help you in that regards |

Kunleoduwole:1. Opening & verifying PayPal account https://www.nairaland.com/2061368/how-open-verify-paypal-account 2. Mini importation threads: https://www.nairaland.com/1962437/start-own-mini-importation-now Before starting, just like any other business, think or survey on prices and if you notice that it is cheaper to import, go ahead. One of the main reason I import is because there are lots of fake products in Africa. Eg., I import Xiaomi power bank after reading user reviews and becoming convinced that they are original. Also, some items are not yet in Nigeria. eg. QC2.0 or QC3.0 phone chargers, no shop in Nigeria will understand what you are taking about. Certain original car spare parts are hard to find locally, eg, engine rings for rebuilding engine. Nevertheless, you can find the original from USA on amazon or eBay, ditto for original laptop battery. After identifying your niche, swing into action |
bizgenius1:Thanks dear for your compliments, I will surely do a detailed phone review. I am resting at the moment. |
GloryIsaac:Alright, I am sure you are aware that risk appetite differs from person to person, it's wise to operate within ones' appetite for risk. All phones in Nigeria are imported, whether you do it directly or buy from those that imported it. International commerce involves a factor of risk. I tend find it easier to do business with Chinese than Africans, because they are well organised than us. |
Opistorincos:Thanks and you are welcome. |
Although I have been making purchases from online stores such as aliexpress, gearbest, Konga, Jumia, banggood, everbuying, etc., I before this time, I never had sufficient faith in the postal and courier agencies to deliver an item such as a phone intact. I have heard of touching stories of unsuspecting members of the public loosing valuables in post office when they post or expecting parcels from abroad. Accordingly, all my orders hitherto has been through private freight forwarders - who has been facilitating the conveyance of my orders from China to Lagos, Nigeria. After an observatory period of making orders from foreign online stores for less sensitive items such as power banks, Memory Cards, phone chargers, electric bulbs, crop seeds, etc., I concluded that the Nigerian postal services has recorded a perceptible improvement over their previous notorious reputation of mail/parcel pilferage. All my mails: both registered and ordinary quite arrived as as when due (16-18 days for registered parcel with tracking and 30 days for unregistered parcels). Armed with this experience, I decided to place an order for an android phone, hoping that all will be well ( as we use sing from church hymnary). Order for Leagoo Z1 4" Phone. My decision to go for Leagoo Z1 was after a search online. I discovered that the price was relatively cheap, although the specification were scaled down, it was meant to be an entry level phone, so the price and specifications ought to match. After browsing sites like gearbest, banggood, everbuying, tinydeal, I discovered that geekbuying sells at a promo price of $33.99 whereas other online stores as at then, were selling at $39.99 and above. I had already have an account with geekbuying, so I signed in and without any waste of time, place order for a unit of the phone. I paid with my PayPal account at checkout. My StanbicIBTC MasterCard was selected. As as 14/06/2016, StanbicIBTC charged N335/$1, so $33.99 translated to the value of N11,386.65. The parcel was shipped 4 days later on 18/06/2016. Singapore Post was the shipping agent, the parcel had tracking no. It arrived Lagos on 27/06/2016, Uyo on 29/06/2016 and eventually my hometown on 1/07/2016. I eventually picked it up on 4/07/2016. This makes a total of 16 days in transit. After opening my parcel, nothing was missing, neither was it tempered with! My risk taking has been rewarded! I have attached photos of the parcel for your information. Review of the phone will be undertaken in another thread. Thank you for stopping by to read my experience. Please if you have any question about online order and shipping, kindly ask, I will happy to provide prompt response. God bless you all.

jayblaze001:HVDC = High Voltage Direct Current. It has advantages & disadvantages among which expensive converting systems (substations) to transform the Direct Current to Alternating Current, it may being fresh issues. I am sure that for now the encouragement of embedded systems (whereby localised electricity is generated and fed in local municipalities without feeding it via national grid - to compliment the supply from the national grid can quicken things up in the interim) No one is mentioning a critical factor: estimated billing. DISCOS make so much money from estimated billing such that further investment in power sector development does not make sense at all. It is economically stupid for then to commit serious capital funds to investment when the revenues are flowing -in in unimaginable proportion. Solution: let consumers of electricity be metered or in villages where there is no house enumeration, the community transformers be metered so that this biggest armed robbery in the country be brought to an end |
[ divo : what is the exchange rate to naira on gearbest.com Macaulish It depends on your bank ATM Rate and as at the time you are carrying out the transaction .. Presently it keeps fluctuating between $1 ~ N310 - N325 for online purchasing.. Cheers...[/quote]Gearbest payment is via buyers' bank Credit/Debit Cards and Paypal. So what you are charged depends on your own bank exchange rate as at the date of purchase. That is what the last post was trying to explain. |

Except you are in such a hurry, I'll advice you to order yourself. Mine I got the QC2.0 dual USB ports model. https://www.nairaland.com/3194435/review-blitzwolf-dual-usb-wall#47021807 |
joenor:There are shipping options. Usually most orders below $40 - $50 is shipped free as ordinary mail without tracking. This arrives after a month or thereabout. Orders above the mentioned value is shipped free with tracking no. with 18days delivery range ~ as the first shipping option. For low cost items without automatic tracking the, tracking feature can be bought separately for $1.99. The second shipping option is usually express delivery 5 - 10days (i.e. Courier such as DHL, UPS, FEDEX, etc). This will understandably cost. |

meetmonde:Yeah, that's why I am here, fire on here is the item https://m.alibaba.com/product/60360590384/Military-Clinometer-Transparent-Camping-Map-Paver.html I am planning to import 100pieces.. how do I go about it to make it cheaper considering this economic woes I support the above response by dragnet. Personally I have employed the services of "Eghosa" and "lstar". Search for the above names on nairaland. They will pick up from China and land it at their Lagos office for you to pick up. lstar can arrange and send by transport for you if you stay outside Lagos and unable to pick it up yourself. If the above arrangement is too complex for you to undertake you can alternatively search for the same goods on aliexpress.com and be rest assured that you are paying for item and shipping to your doorstep even if it will a bit higher in price than alibaba. |

Special Feature: Intelligent Charging also known as Smart charging involves a charging process whereby the charger communicates with the battery charging system in order to adjust the charging parameters (current, voltage, charging duration) according to the condition of the battery. The beauty of a smart phone charger is it capacity to adjust the current to match the exact needs of the device being charged. I use an MTK PumpExpress enabled phone (Infinix Hot Note x551). It was designed to use a relatively powerful charger that can produce enough power to speed up the charging time. Consequently, not all chargers and charging cables can charge the phone. Any charger that is below 1.5A scantly charge the phone. I have noticed that if the charger is not powerful enough, even the charged battery drains quickly after charging. Ditto for a lower specification charging cable. However with Blitzwolf intelligent charger, the phone will be charged with an appreciable speed. Specification Evaluation: Dual USB Ports: This allows the simultaneous charging of two devices at the same time. The First port generates 2.4A current at 5V with a proprietary intelligent charging feature tagged sPower. The sPower charging algorithm ensures that the charger through this port monitors the power requirements of connected devices and adjust the current to match the exact demand of such device. This process therefore ensures that powered devices are neither overcharged nor undercharged. It also speed up the charging duration. The maximum charging power of this port is 5V * 2.4A = 12w. I was able to charge my Xiaomi 20000mAh Power Bank from 0% to 100% in about 10 hours using this port. This is against 11 hours widely reported on internet by many when using other make of 2A Chargers. The second USB port is Quick Charge 2.0 compatible alongside blitzwolf's sPower charging capability. The Qualcomm certified QC2.0 port is capable of multi stage charging at speedy 5V/2.4A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A. Non QC2.0 compatible devices are charged at 5V up to a maximum of 2.4A. Therefore the maximum charging power of this port is 12V * 1.5A = 18w. In actual usage, this port was able to charge a QC2.0 compatible Xiaomi 20000mAh power bank from 0% - 100% precisely in 6 hours 55 minutes in accordance with Xiaomi's data sheet. This result therefore assures that the QC2.0 specification is real and accurate. Unboxing: The charger came is a well packed envelope with protective wrapper. Unboxing: The charger is carefully packed in a mini carton containing the charger, user manual and warranty card. The charger is a handful and moderately light in weight. It is made of solid gloss plastic with premium craftsmanship. This at a first sight gives credit to blitzwolf as a manufacturer with inclination for quality and reputation comparable to Xiaomi. I am really impressed in this regard. In support of this view, the charger once slipped from my hands and fellfloor hard on the floor. It only had a slight and barely noticeable crack on one side, however it does not affect the aesthetics and functionality of the device. Further Notes: Blitzwolf BW-S2QC charger is an asset. The universal charging capability of the charger obliterates the need to carry multiple chargers for different gadgets, therefore it is good for travellers and those that have many gadgets such as phones, power banks, lamp, camera, etc. It only heats up appreciably when it is in quick charge mode at 9v & 12v. This makes it suitable for hard and sustained charging tasks. The price at $8.99 is good, comparing to similar offering from competition such as Aukey, Tronsmart, which sells around $15. Suggestion for Improvement: However, the major suggestion for the manufacturers is to make one of the port a PumpExpress compatible for MTK speed charge devices since Snapdragon's Quick Charge technology does not charge MTK PumpExpress at fast speed of 7v/9v/12v, but rather at normal 5v/2A. Also, a compatible USB charging cable should be enclosed with the charger to make a really full options packed Charger.

busar:aliexpress is an online market comprising different stores. It is the individual store that sells and ships the goods through third party shipping agencies such as postal office or courier agencies. These third party agencies determine the efficiency of the shipping process. |
Darkseid:1. True, aliexpress provided a single platform for different sellers of a particular item with advantage of different prices. 2. Far from reality: each shop in aliexpress has unique shipping options. Some offer free tracking, others offer tracking at a fee. Some offer shipping without tracking as the only option. Yet others give wide latitude of shipping options from Post Office to Couriers (express shipping). 3. aliexpress does not ship faster. all online stores uses extant shipping agencies - usually post offices (eg. China Post, Netherlands Post, Hong Kong Post, etc.) and courier (such as UPS, DHL, etc.). Accordingly, all parcels arrives at the same time. I have personal experience of ordering from eBay China, everbuying, gearbest, & banggood and all arrived at the same time. Price comparison illustration: Item: Zweihnder 9w E27 LED Bulb * On aliexpress the cheapest price on any store is $3.96, other stores sell for over $4 and $5 respectively; while gearbest sells the item for just $2. Reference: http://m.gearbest.com/globe-bulbs/pp_124749.html?wid=1 This points out that no store holds the monopoly of offering the cheapest price! Always compare prices before concluding! |
Has anyone else notice that whenever attempt is made to transfer funds from FCMBonline banking app, it will not be successful. It reports name verification failed. but it works seamlessly with transfers to other banks. I called FCMB client care line, but they claimed there is no fault in their system?
|
Udiboy:If so call or mail both banks and examine. If GTB can accept using registered mail of about N500 or thereabout to send, it will make a lot of sense. Fidelity have a toll free line for client to call. Update us on the outcome pls. |
busuyi44:That's is fallacy of general assumption. As a rule of thumb, before buying, try as much as possible to compare prices between shops. Even in aliexpress, different sellers sells same item at different prices. I have seen cases where it is cheapest in a shop within aliexpress and in another occasion gearbest offers the least price in the entire internet plus free shipping. It all depends. Note that I buy from other online sellers too not only gearbest. I only dedicate this thread to my experience with gearbest shopping. |
pat077:These ones comes in like letter or small parcel. So, you receive it like a letter. That is my experience so far. |
Baroba:You are right. International trade is a risk, so one has to evaluate his/her decision well and be as sure as possible of what you are into and plan B in event it flops. So far, it has served me well. |
Udiboy:Based on terms and conditions that I had studied. GTB & Fidelity Bank Diaspora Accounts will be OK. First, go to their websites and study the terms & requirements, I am sure you will convinced which is best for you. Diamond Bank of recent suspended foreign transactions on their MasterCard, which is a vital criteria for you |
. |
busuyi44:Nothing so far |
bappahman:Use any traceable address and phone no. when registering your address. Ensure that you are around or can be located if Post Office decides to deliver the mail. In my case, they don't come, rather, they either call or deliver the notification to my P. O. Box. That suits me because I am not at home during daytime. Is is safer for me in that no one with receive my parcel and claim it or forget to inform me. These days Post Office dispatchers tends to call when they are indisposed to deliver |
dragnet:I am yet to see any so far. I study the reviews. Some reviews are in other languages such as Russian, Spanish, French, etc. I copy such to translate.google.com and have it translated to English. As much as I am eyeing a cheaper alternative, I evaluate what I believe is best to source from China. If I need laptop at the moment, I may resort to buying from USA/Europe. I don't yet trust Chinese' laptop battery build quality yet till I notice convincing progress. I do read negative remarks from other websites on cases such as missing in transit or wrong specification. I always advise if the amount involved is of a higher value to you, ensure that you pay the $1.99 tracking fee and buy the cheap insurance to ensure instant replacement in event of failure in service/delivery. |
civilserva:Well, I am inclined to belief that my experience so far is worthy enough to develop an agreeable opinion, after all, people drive just one car and based on the experience on just a car, do give definite opinion. I have placed 8 orders, received 4, remaining 4 are still in transit. At least, you will agree that I have cognate experience to share. |
