WhatsApp Inc. sued the Indian Government over new laws in India that could allow authorities to make WhatsApp users privacy messages “traceable,” and conduct mass surveillance.

The Facebook owned instant messaging service, which identifies India as its biggest market, said it filed the lawsuit in the High Court of Delhi on Wednesday. It said New Delhi’s “traceability” requirement, unveiled in February this year, violated citizens’ constitutional right to privacy.

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) disagree that it has not tells Nigerians to submit the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of their phones  from July, 2021.

Nigeria Army Chief, LT General Ibrahim Attahiru, has died in an air crash while on an official trip to Kaduna, PRNigeria, a news agency with ties to the military, has reported.

The Nigerian Air Force declared that a crashed that took place but did not make any such of details.

“An air crash involving a @NigAirForce aircraft took place this evening near the Kaduna International Airport. The immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained. More details to follow soon,” Daily Trust quoted Edward Gabkwet, the air force spokesperson, as saying in a statement.

The Senate House on Wednesday, asked the Federal Government to stop the proposed deployment of 5th Generation (5G) Network for mobile telecommunications in the country because of health concerns.

The Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Mr Olukayode Popoola, on Sunday, said that the total shutdown of the Third Mainland Bridge would be lifted at midnight of Jan. 31, 24 hours ahead of schedule.
