Governor Ahmed of the APC polled 295, 832 votes to his counterpart in the PDP Senator S. S. Ajibola who got 115220.

It's been reported that Maigida as Governor Ahmed is popularly called trashed S. S. Ajibola in all the LGAs in Kwara State.
Along side, all Kwara House of Assembly seats were cleared by APC as well

Dear Kwara Civil Servants, ignore desperate PDP lies that Gov. Ahmed will retrench workers if re-elected. KWSG is one of the few that pay workers promptly and increase salaries annually despite drop in allocation. It's better to get regular salary than be owed for 6 months as in some PDP states.
