PoliticsRe: By Not Releasing MNK, Tinubu Has Started To Show He Will Be As Lawless As Buhari by optionalY09: 3:30pm On Jun 09, 2023
gidgiddy:
The Buhari administration was notorious for not abiding by court judgements and circumventing the constitution. It seems that the Tinubu administration is determined to follow the same path

IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been battling the Nigerian government in various courts for over two years. He has secured nearly 2 billion Naira court judgment in damages against the federal government as well as securing a court of appeal judgement discharging him, and ordering his release. Yet Nnamdi Kanu is still in detention

The federal government is free to appeal whatever court judgment they want, but that does not mean you dont obey the existing judgments while you appeal

Tinubu should prove that his administration will abide by court judgements by immediately releasing Nnamdi Kanu, paying him his 2 billion Naira, and tendering a national apology to the man for keeping him in detention a day longer than necessary after he defeated them in court
You can’t dictate to him he’s the president you have to plead with him dumbass. Plead with him he wi release him

I shudder to think what would have happened if the huge oil deposits in the Niger delta responsible for 80% of Nigeria's revenues including the ones used in paying salaries in Osun and Ekiti states were to be situated in the Niger delta?
The refinery is in Lagos. Niger Delta oil is owned by SW Ijaw and Ondo are Yoruba.

You still don't get it, this has nothing to do with politics, this is about life and death staring people in the face and believing they have nothing to lose if they don't take action, I justpray Nigeria does not go the way of Liberia, because already almost all the indices were ticked in Buhari's time, that's why I said the present leaders should be very careful...
Make sure you lead them to the protest Ok ✅

Good luck human rights lawyer

Brendaniel:
Good you listed some important points there, however even those points can still be politicized using protests, I have passed my message, the biggest problem of the government will be how to handle a very large number of hungry human beings protesting with one voice...
Those large number of hungry people need to learn how to think. Not of today alone but the future of their own children, they should learn how to ask government for their right through the right channel. If those hungry people ask for constitutional change and get it done with they will eliminate the hunger for themselves and have the assurance that their children and grand children won’t have to fight for those little, little politically motivated nonsense

Though there might be a very high possibility that I am older than you but Oga I don't use that to measure strength and weakness, but just a little reminder that your paymasters should be very careful, it is not even about protest or just fuel subsidy or you think when Buhari was apologizing and saying he wold run to Niger republic he was joking, there is more to where Nigeria is to today than it was in 2020...
I honestly don care how you cry I just don’t want to see any idiot protesting for no reason at this time. What i have carefully observed is that Nigerians protest is always motivated by opposition for political reason and no genuinety of purposes. One protest i still like to see is the protest to completely change the constitution to an all inclusive constitution and not a lopsided one where you’ll cross Kwara State to Niger state and you’ll be legally murdered for drinking a bottle of beer or stab on the street for preaching.

A constitution that fix all the oil problems at once and not in parts, a constitution that ask the laws enforcement to police everyone and not police to protect a group of people and criminalize the other.

A constitution that approve the same passing marks for all graduating students in all the states of nigeria and so on.

I don’t want to see any politically motivated protest

Oga, Shut up and keep quiet, who are you to warn others not to protest?

Stay in your lane and mind your business while those who want to protest mind their own business, did you give birth to them, are you the one feeding them, are you catering for any part of their needs, who are you to warn them?
Just go on the street and try any nonsense
PoliticsBe Warned Do Not To Hit The Street For Any Kind Of Protest by optionalY09(op): 12:05am On Jun 06, 2023
This is an important warning to anyone that is planning a street protest or any participant to distance self from such . It is important for any group or organization, including labor unions, to exercise their rights to peaceful assembly and protest within the boundaries of the law but not at this sensitive time in our society. While protests can be an effective means of expressing concerns at times, it has not solve any problem holistically. it is also crucial to engage in constructive dialogue with relevant stakeholders, including the government, to address issues such as minimum wage and workers' rights.

In order to bring about lasting change, it is often necessary to work through legislative channels to advocate for policy reforms, including constitutional review and worker protections. Additionally, ensuring workers' compensation for all workers is an important aspect of safeguarding their rights and well-being.

It is wise for anyone planning to participate in any protest to be cautious about the influence of political agendas and to focus on their core issues and demands. No protests should be conducted at this time, be aware of potential risks and consequences.

I don’t want to see anyone protesting on the street. Be warned
