If you buy shares between now and the 7th of April (which is their qualification date), you will get dividend and bonus shares if you hold those shares till 10th of June.
but it's possible the shares drop below 52 naira by then right?

Oga, this is a public forum owned by NL and not the clique of individuals that wrongfully think that they own this thread. And as long as I am not breaking any rules, I do not think anyone has the right to question my participation here except the mods who have every right to ban me if I am breaking rules.

I dare anyone to show me where I came at them to insult him or her without them provoking me with unnecessary insults. I dare anyone.

Have you seen the kind of insults I receive from certain individuals here for no good reason?

What I am beginning to understand here is that people have interests and once you go against their interests, they find ways to attack you using their alternate monikers and help from clueless people that have one thing or the other against you.

Guess what, I dey kanpe o and I am not going to leave so if you don’t like my presence here, feel free to ignore or leave and go and form your own forum. It’s allowed.
Na you insulted when I first commented here... But I ignored your arrogant ass

You are right. The PFAs mostly invest in safe fixed income assets. Though they are allowed to allocate some funds to variable investments like shares, private equity and real estate, they are still being conservative and most (if not all) are not investing up to 25% of their funds in these variable investments. So investments in the stock market is not really what is driving the high returns currently being reported by PFAs.

What is driving their high ROI is the high bond prices. When interest rates are low, the value of earlier issued bonds that many of these PFAs hold, skyrockets. And they mostly report unrealized (paper gains) as most hold their bonds to maturity. This is why their NAV per share and ROI are high at the moment.

As soon as interest rates increase, those bond prices (and fund values) will crash and you will see them reporting lower NAVs and ROIs.
Please can you explain why this inverse relationship exists between these assets... I just don't know why. Fixed income rates high, bond prices low and vice versa

Yes per annum and it's paid biannually- July and January.
Investors still stand a chance of getting extra income in addition to the guaranteed 4.5%.
This has been case for more than six years and still counting.
Lol you are funny
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Opzyyy: 3:30pm On Feb 17, 2021
4.5 per annum?
emmasoft:
TBills rates are still low for now. I will advice you keep the money in VGIF which allows you to top up while waiting for better TBills rates. As soon as rates become favorable you can move your funds to Tbills. VGIF currently is 4.5% and there is every likelihood of increase because the CBN may want to look at the possibility of increasing MPR judging from the current inflation rate.
Just an advice. Do your due diligence.
