Again, what about parts? I called a VW dealer and he said complete engine is 150k (engine + gearbox), half is about 110k.

I hear say e get electrical issue.

One thing baffles me, Julius Berger has some of this VW Polo in their fleet (though TDI - diesel).

The FSI engines are more improved than the one shown below. I will advise you to take the fsi the maintenance is very low. Just make sure u use the right oil and always have enough fuel.

Bro don't mind them its a very good car. I used this very car for 5 years

I see its the European spec iy is very very good. U will not regret buying it, the engine is a simple engine. tho just know it has a very bad second hand value. If u don't plan to use it for long i advise u to leave it.

Bro i had similar experience with my Peugeot 307. The issue was fuel pump and blocked catalyst.

The car is very very good. But please stay away from American spec buy only europe

My brother don't mind these criminals that wants to offload their liability to u. My candid advice u can make it up like 900k u can get tokumbo golf3 or peugeot 206 may be audi A4 all manual drive just manage it till God remember u.

Oga don't listen to all those people asking u to buy naija used. One million will get u tokumbo mazda 323. May be if u add about one or two hundred thousand u can get golf 3 or 4. Also camry orobo. Just buy any of these. They are not flashy but at least your peace is intact.

Oga u did not show the picture of the engine bay. I wouldn't know if urs is German spec or America. If its America please sell it off at any amount if its German i suggest u change the complete engine with the gear box. I use one i bought since 2013 i can tell u its the best car one can own tho its a manual tyranny. And i hope to get another one if i sell off.

Oga passat is one of the best car u can buy and very easy to maintain. Only if u get thr European spec. I have used 1999 model 2003 model and 2007 model. May be the car u bought has been fiddled with by all these kazeems. Just run a comprehensive scan on the car and replace not repair any faulty parts on the car

Go and look for Peugeot 307 manual. U can get used ones about that price. Its very fuel efficient and ok for uber business

Please between vw golf 4 and audi A4 and passat between 2000 and 2002 model which is better. More economical

Please as a woman please stay away from nigerian used cars. For ur budget kindly go for Vw golf 4 European version not American. I repeat European not American. Get either 2.0 or 1.6 engine. I am speaking from experience mine is 5 years gone and no serious repairs yet. Unless u step up ur budget then you can get toyota.

My first car was a Nigerian used VW passat. I used this car for good 4 years without issues.when i solf i bought a used Peugeot 307 that csr drained me i sold and bought another 307 from a retired army. The it revvs just like a brand new. I advice buyers to do all due diligence before buying one.the truth is that some nigerian used cars are as good as new ones. And finally when buying a used car please i repeat buy from a rich man who maintains his cars not from a poor man who cannot eat talk less of maintaining a car. If u know u know. The three used cars i bought proved this right

Nice piece am surprised that nigerians are not paying attention to diesel engine. Personally I love diesel cwrs but have not had the opportunity to use one. I know a customer who owns a golf plus he said he travelled to the east and back with a full tank of diesel. Please has anyone used one please can u educate us on usage and maintenance
